Great location, friendly staff BUT the hotel is very run down. Rooms really, really need to be renovated, theres stains and damages everywhere; especially the showers appear a bit filthy unfortunately.
I urge the owner to put some money into repairing the hotel, a friendly staff and good location can only do so much. I went from 3 stars to 2 stars because the pictures online are very misleading.

Very nice boutique hotel, in the heart of Rome, polite and good service by the staff. I surely recommend it and if i manage it i will visit it again. Breakfast was really good and the rooms clean and quite big.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We saw a ton of good reviews and are not strangers to staying abroad, so we felt confident in this choice. The location IS excellent, and the gentleman that checked us in was lovely. However, upon entering our room we were blasted by the scent of urine. Only two outlets in the room worked, the TV did not work, the coffee machine in the room was broken (though conveniently plugged into one of said working outlets), the toilet was constantly running, and there was very obvious mold in the shower. In fact, I would bet more than the exorbitant amount of money that we spent on that room that the shower had never been within 3 feet of a cleaning product. We wanted to leave, but knew that there was no way in hell we would get our money back. We are very non-confrontational and DEFINITELY did not want to be difficult obnoxious tourists, so my partner and I agreed that rather than complaining or asking for a refund, we would ask that housekeeping maybe do an extra clean of the bathroom. My partner speaks Italian well enough, so we opted to have him do the speaking. Before he even finished his sentence, the man at the front desk (not the aforementioned lovely one) started vehemently arguing and denying that there was mold in the shower. I took issue with this for 3 reasons: 1. My partner hadn't even FINISHED his sentence, so I suspect this is a complaint they had heard before. 2. It absolutely WAS mold because it was black, some was fuzzy, and it could be wiped away, so it wasn't just "old tile" like the man insisted. 3. We didn't accuse them of anything, we didn't complain, and we didn't ask for our money back! We just said "Hey, we noticed...would you mind..." and this man acted like we threatened to kill his mother. We just said okay and left for the day, hoping that they might clean the bathroom anyway. They did not. I also found the breakfast to be quite disappointing for the price point, though the breakfast staff was quite nice. The only really good thing I can say about this place is that we didn't get bedbugs....so silver lining, I guess. Anyway, if you would like to be in a good location and enjoy being in a space that would make a frat house feel clean, this is the hotel for you!

Edit - After posting this I noticed this hotel is listed as $52 per night. I have no idea where that is coming from, as we payed $882 for 3 nights.

The location is great and so are the rooms , the staff is very kind, very helpful and accommodating . Our flight got delayed, and they transferred our booking to a day later no problem . We had the best experience

Walls had mold and the ac barely worked. Room didn’t get as cool as we were wanting after the dreadful August heat outside. The room is being cooled from one ac unit near the window that barely worked. Floors were sticky and walls were thin. Bed sheets were a little uncomfortable due to the scratchy stitching near the ends of the fabrics. Smell around the room and in the closet was a little off putting. WiFi is relatively slow with very little security. It’s somewhere you can sleep and have a roof over your head. It’s nothing fancy.

Other than that, the location is great. It’s near a lot of the major attractions and shopping streets.

The hotel is enough for a short trip. The location is great!!! However the rooms are really min. Of what you need compare to other hotel. The rooms are separate from the original location where you need to check in (couple of meters).

There appears to be two buildings here, the main building and the second building. It’s clearly marked which building your are reserving when you book online. It seems the negative reviews on here are for the other building (which we didn’t see).

The main building is excellent for the price, it’s old (like most things in Rome) but is clean and secure. The rooms are great, basic and clean with character and good amenities, location is perfect.

A warm welcome from the staff who were always helpful with a smile.

Horrible. AC didn't work. The refrigerator didn't work. There are no vending machines. No ice machine. Mold in the bathroom. Floors are coming apart. Ele trical outlets didn't work or they were hanging out of electric box.

Imagine walking the streets of Rome all day in 90 deg heat and having to come back to a room with no AC. We had to open the window which had no screen. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Don't be fooled by the pictures online. It's not what you get. This was our first international trip. We learned for our next trip.

SCAM!!! We booked a double large room and got a single bed where one of us could barely fit. They told us “it is what it is” basically. Even the hot water was not working, to which the response was “if the water is not working in the building there is nothing we can do”. Staff was even not even polite and slightly cocky about the situation. Tourist trap. Don’t stay here.
