Relais della Torre in Rome

Very disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was a disaster, especially for the price. There was no hot water in the shower during a freezing night — which made it really uncomfortable after a long day out. The shower drain was clogged, so water quickly pooled around my feet. The toilet bowl took more than 10 minutes to refill after every flush, and the washtafel was also clogged. To add to the frustration, there wasn’t even a towel hanger anywhere in the bathroom — basic things that every hotel room should have.

On top of that, the walls were extremely thin. We could hear people talking, moving furniture, and even snoring from the next room like they were right beside us. There was absolutely no soundproofing, which made it hard to get a proper rest. Fortunately, it was just a one-night stay.

To be fair, they do provide basic amenities, and the breakfast was fairly good — but that doesn’t make up for the very poor room conditions. Would not recommend staying here unless they seriously improve their facilities and room maintenance.

Disgusting room (stains on the pillows, duvet, armchairs, tablecloths), water leak in the bathroom, dishonest and lying owner: we strongly advise against renting this room. We are used to traveling and this is by far the worst place we have ever slept.
