Rome Marriott Park Hotel

Our stay at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel was nothing short of a disaster. Upon arrival, we carried our own bags as none of the staff offered any assistance. The check-in process was painfully slow, taking about 40 minutes, even though the lobby wasn’t crowded. The hotel feels like a pit stop for business or conference travelers, or those stranded by flight cancellations—definitely not a place you'd want to linger.

The ambiance is outdated and worn, with decor that seems stuck in the 90s. The rooms are even worse than they appear online; the wallpapers were peeling, the air conditioning barely functioned, and the whole place had a musty smell. It’s clear that the rooms haven’t seen proper maintenance in years.

To top it off, the parking is a strange 1-2 minute walk from the hotel, which isn’t ideal, but the worst part? No one ever picks up the phone. We tried calling guest services, room service, and the operator—no response. In case of an emergency, you’re completely on your own.

I would never willingly stay here again and absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. It’s a disgrace to the Marriott name.

Horrible experience. They don’t have airport transfers, they offer them arranged through a 3rd party agency called Rome transfers agency. Charged me 40€ instead of 35 that is the regular taxi fare, they made me walk to the Hilton to get get picked up and I had to wait 35 minutes. I could’ve just taken a taxi.
Also they charged me two nights and sent the wrong receipts when I stayed only 1 night. I’m waiting for them to fix it still. They have one job!!
Room was mediocre and breakfast, fake eggs. Pretty standard for the rest.

The worst Marriott that I ever experienced. The breakfast was bad, food didn’t look fresh. All the facility was really old. The sheet didn’t look clean, service was slow. We booked the shuttle bus to the city and were waiting in front of the door, it didn’t show up and the receptionist insisted that the bus showed up. Refunding or rescheduling to the next day is not possible. She was really arrogant and got annoyed, which was really unbelievable for hospitality sector.
The hair dryer in the room was broken, I had to leave for the city when my hair was wet. Room service was as terrible, we ordered bolognese which didn’t taste with fresh beef, like bad beef left in fridge for a few days, no tomato sauce taste either. Read the comments online and don’t come here, it’s terrible service and terrible room.

We had the stay at the hotel because our flight was cancelled. The rooms and all are good. However, we couldn't connect to the wi-fi through their program. The receptionist Silvia was not happy about us asking for help after multiple errors and was rolling eyes and telling that our stay is for free, so we are not that entitled to the wi-fi. Not a way to treat a guest.
