Grand Hotel Riviera

We stayed at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento for five nights during our honeymoon in mid-June, and it was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, the service was some of the best we've ever experienced. They welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco and chocolate cake.
Francesco & Gianni at the concierge desk were both incredible. They went above and beyond to help us plan in advance, from reserving fantastic local restaurants to booking us a couple’s massage.
The bartenders, especially Mario and Giuseppe, made our evenings so fun, we genuinely didn’t want to leave the hotel. We spent hours every night before & after dinner enjoying cocktails in the beautiful lounge overlooking the water. It quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip.
The private beach club is another standout feature that makes this hotel special. The service was great, and we enjoyed many spritzes and a few club sandwiches while relaxing during our days there.
Our room was simple, clean, and very comfortable for the price, and the breakfast was one of the best we've had in Italy; fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety.
The hotel’s location is also ideal: a short, pleasant walk to the main part of Sorrento, but far enough away to feel peaceful and secluded.
This hotel made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. We did not want to leave and we’re already hoping we can come back for our five- year anniversary.

We had such a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento! It was our first time in Sorrento and I was overwhelmed with options on accommodations, but I’m so happy that I went with this hotel!
Everything from the beautiful room , the views , the staff ( Gianni and Francesco at concierge were amazing and very helpful with booking restaurants , transportation and boat trips, as well as giving us great recommendations!!)
The whole bar and restaurant staff ( Teresa at breakfast) were wonderful!!
The Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of options as well as the food for lunch.
They also have their own private beach area, which was gorgeous!
Everything was spotless - The housekeeping staff did a great job every day.
And to top it all off, it was only a five - ten minute walk into the center of town where all the action is!
Loved it and will Definitely be back😊

We had an unforgettable experience at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—always professional, warm, and ready to help with anything we needed.

The location is absolutely stunning. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the sea, the views are simply breathtaking—especially at sunset. The hotel has a private beach deck, accessible by elevator, which was a unique and relaxing place to unwind. The sea is crystal clear, and the beach staff was attentive. Plenty of space and chairs for all guests.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated in a classic Mediterranean style. Housekeeping was top-notch, and everything was always immaculate.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and local specialties. Dining with that panoramic view each morning was a treat in itself.

The pool area is beautiful and peaceful, with ample loungers and a great bar service. It never felt overcrowded, even during high season.

Special thanks for Mario at the Blu Lounge bar as we spent a lot of time here. He makes the best cocktails!

We would absolutely return and highly recommend Grand Hotel Riviera to anyone looking for a serene, luxurious stay in Sorrento.

This is the perfect hotel for your trip in Sorrento. The staff are kind, friendly, and really helpful. The food at breakfast and lunch is really above what I’ve come to expect for “hotel food” and the view is one of the best in Sorrento. You get free access to beach club down on the water as well as the pool, with towels and table service for drinks and food.

Our room was the only very tiny negative - it was a little smaller than we expected, the hair dryer attached to the wall didn’t work too well, and because we had a ground floor room, we had absolutely no view from our “balcony”.

All of these things were minor in comparison to the positives. This is a great hotel and you won’t be disappointed staying here.

Perfect 4 star hotel. The staff was fabulous. They recommended a driver from Naples and a boat trip. Both were spot on. Easy walk from hotel to city center. Breakfast was included and was better than any place that we have had for the last week. Beach club was just fine for a relaxing day near the water. Overall I think a good value compared to the really expensive 5 star hotel.

What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel! After our trip this spring was cut short due to a death in the family, the Riviera staff went above and beyond to help us return to finish the back half of our trip. When our luggage didn't arrive with us, they helped us call the airline to help try to expedite it. Ciro gave us some really great tips that added to our enjoyment of the area. The entire staff was incredible and we are so, so grateful.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, our sea view room was absolutely stunning. They had one of our favorite hotel breakfasts that we have enjoyed in our travels. The beach club was really great as well. We loved that it was a short walk to town as it's a beautiful walk and was a lovely way to unwind at night. Cannot recommend Grand Hotel Riviera enough.

My husband and I stayed at Grand Hotel Riviera for our honeymoon back in July, and it was one of our favourite stops on our trip. Everything about this hotel was a dream. We had a beautiful view from our room, and even had a thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us in our room to celebrate our honeymoon. The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best dinners we had in Sorrento, with the most beautiful views at sunset, and the private beach club was absolutely stunning and felt super luxurious! It was equally as beautiful in the mornings on the terrace for breakfast, overlooking the water. But our favourite thing about the hotel was the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Mario & Vittorio at the private beach club were wonderful people to get to know. They made our experience a memorable one, and we enjoyed heading down to the water and having a chat with them every day! Gianni at the front desk was also incredible in helping us from the moment we checked in, to the day we left - even making numerous calls on our behalf to rental car companies when our rental car booking fell through. We cannot thank the staff at Grand Hotel Riviera enough, and we cannot wait to come back for a stay in the future. Vi ringraziamo tanto. Ci vediamo alla prossima!

The property was right on the coast and very beautiful. It was only .5 mile walk to the middle of town. It was clean and accessible to basically everything. We also love the turndown service. We would leave momentarily and our room would be tidied up when we returned. Lastly, we got engaged on our trip in Sorrento and the staff wrote us a very nice note and treated us to complementary champagne in the bar. The staff was top tier! Would absolutely stay there again and recommend to future guests!

This hotel touched my heart. The staff went more than above. The sea level deck in the sun is beautiful. Tomorrow we leave early, and our rental car is placed right outside the door AND we have a packed lunch. So thoughtful. The bar looking over Naples is breathtaking. Thank you Grand Riviera! Would definitely recommend! Had a last minute booking at Hotel Riviera and it was a great surprise! Rooms are comfortable and simple with cool vibe. The common areas are nicely decorated and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The private beach club is well conceived and a plus, and the pool is great with an amazing view. We had dinner at the terrace with a breathtaking sunset over the water, food was excellent, I would recommend the restaurant even if you are not staying in the hotel. This place feels like being in a 1950’s Italian movie :), we will sure visit again!
