First of all, I liked this hotel in general. I will write a few problems in a moment. The most important advantage of the hotel is that it has both open and private indoor parking. The hotel is not in the city center. But there are bus stops near the hotel. You can easily reach the city center by bus. The ticket is 1.5€ per person. There is no free water in the rooms. The shower head was broken, the sunshade curtains could not be opened, the lighting in the room was not bright enough, and the soundproofing was not very good, but the mattress and bedding were very comfortable, and the room was large and clean.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was great! The staff at check-in spoke English very well and so did the bartender, James. I stayed awhile at the bar with my husband to grab a drink to share and James was so very helpful and efficient with our services. This is not a 4 star hotel. Worst food I’ve ever seen. There is nothing edible in the breakfast buffet unless you are into cold cheap crap! Also the spa was closed the entire time. Disappointed… at least it’s nice inside and rooms are decent. Defo find somewhere else to stay.

However, I want to highlight that I am very pleased with Ra Chida’s service. She made me feel safe and provided excellent service. She is probably the only person in Italy who was kind and professional. This hotel should be grateful to have such a staff member. This is definitely not a 4star hotel. Tiny room. No kettle in a room, air conditioning wasn’t able to turn on, the only mirror was in a bathroom, no duvet cover. (two sheets instead). Located outside main city so have to use public transport, plenty during day but sparce of an evening so need to plan your return journey well or walk from a bus stop (doesn't apply if have a car or getaway taxi) Breakfast was good choice and had soy milk available. This is a very good option for tourists seeking an affordable accommodation with good public transportation connections to Verona’s old city center. The rooms are comfortable, although the beds moving can be a bit noisy even from neighboring rooms. The breakfast is decent but it could be improved, not included in the room charge, the service is impecable.

The room was very decent, the breakfast was quite good, and the area was perfect for exploring everything. 50 meters from the L026 bus station to Lake Garda. Hotel Scalzi is a beautiful hotel. Our room (and the whole hotel) was very clean and comfortable. All the staff we met were very friendly. Breakfast was good and on a nice day you can sit outside in the courtyard. The only issue was the wall adjoining the next room was quite thin and we were woken up when they came in (we could hear their conversation and TV).

Overall a nice little hotel, unfortunately our room was to the side of the very loud street, and even with closed windows and shutters it was insanely loud and catching some sleep is nearly impossible. Staff couldn’t help us by providing earplugs and didn’t offer to change the room.

This place should not be called a hotel, but rather a bed and breakfast. There is no restaurant or even a bar where you can get a cup of tea in the evening. I would also appreciate a better variety of toiletries in the bathroom — one small tube of shampoo/shower gel and a small bar of soap per person is definitely insufficient.

Few steps away from Arena, easy reach from Railway station, this to say location is the golden bonus of this hotel. Service desk was minimal , some of the rooms are located in a different connected building, through a maze of corridors and elevators, pls follow the billboards indicating where to go. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was super walkable to the train Station. Amazingly, it was very quiet as well. I did not hear any train noises while sleeping at all. A hotel in perfect location for the main Verona tran Station, approx. 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Clean rooms with high ceiling. Facilities are in good standards, our only concern was the heating system, as the room we stayed in was too hot for comfort and could not control the heating, so opening the windows meant hearing noise from the outside and near-by trains traffic!
