I really like this hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The Arena and Castelvecchio are 5 min walking distance. The breakfast is in another bulding but it was not a problem for us. I recommend this hotel, we will definitely come back :)

On 20 January, 2025, I used a third-party site search for hotels in Bologna (20-23 July) and Verona (23-26 July). After booking the Bologna hotel, I finalized my Verona booking without realizing the dates had refreshed to reflect the 20-23 July rather than 23-26. When I got the confirmation email, I noticed the problem: Within 3 minutes I was on the phone with the third-party, and within 8 minutes they had reached out to the Hotel Marco Polo to ask about switching dates.
In the days that followed, I apologized to the hotel for not noticing the date change and offered to cover whatever expenses were needed to re-process the booking, as well as any additional cost for the room there may have been for the 23-26, relative to the 20-23. Valentina at the Hotel Marco Polo, citing that the reservation was non-refundable, at first claimed that the hotel had no ability to modify the reservation. I confirmed with the third-party that the hotel actually could make modifications, and offered to Valentina to have the third-party walk her through the process. She flatly told me the hotel would not under any circumstances make any modification to my booking.
I fully acknowledge that I should have seen the switch in dates, and I fully acknowledge that the booking website's error isn't the hotel's responsibility.
At the same time, modifying a booking made fully six months in advance, a couple minutes after the booking was made, has 0 cost to the hotel and could actually be profitable given my offer to cover any extra expenses. All in all, it's hard not to see this whole situation as a punitive money-grab on the part of a business that claims to be in the business of hospitality.

Rooms were very modern, clean, and additional requests were welcome.
Breakfast room and the selection was exceptional and the staff were friendly and accomodating.........English was a bit difficult, however, breakfast is breakfast.........and it was very good. Double cappaccinos were a wonderful wake up.
Scrambled eggs were created French style, smooth and creamy.
bacon was local and delicious. all other menu items could not leave guests complaining. If they did,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,oh well.

not what I booked. reception and breakfast in another building. air conditioning as been broken for days and at 30° the heat was unbearable

AC was not cooling the room. Room was very small and nobody made it up in the morning

Quiet hotel situated in a great location, close to the arena and lots of restaurants, with friendly and welcoming staff. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but one of the two rooms we rented had a bad smell of cigarette smoke. We asked if we could get a different room and were told that none was available but while we were away for dinner, they used a machine to clean up the smell. We did not see how this was done but upon our return the smell of smoke was gone and the room smelled as if it was freshly cleaned up. I was pleased with the new smell but my wife was bothered by it as she has a mild breathing condition and we ended up sleeping with a window slightly open. I only wish the hotel staff would have cleaned up the smell prior to our arrival, giving it more time to air out.

It is a typical 3-star hotel.
Please note that the hotel is a part of the local network, and there is permanently no-one on the reception in the building, you will have to go to the other hotel down the street for the check-in/out and breakfast

Definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms are typically Italian with exposed beams. The bathroom was excellent, especially the shower. The breakfast was also excellent 👌 I couldn't fault anything and would return!

My favorite hotel, stayed here almost all times I visited Verona when I was working. Nice rooms, breakfast and excellent service.
