It is a typical 3-star hotel.

Please note that the hotel is a part of the local network, and there is permanently no-one on the reception in the building, you will have to go to the other hotel down the street for the check-in/out and breakfast

Rather prolonged email booking procedure with their reception where in the end they take almost 200 Euro 3 months in advance for one night b&b and then blame Paypal for activating the payment when it was the hotel. Payment should have been on departure. Room, albeit superior double, was very small and squashed into the attic, double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together, bathroom was extremely small and the wc certainly a challenge. It and the shower may have been fine for a 10 year old child. The fridge is hopeless as the power goes off when the card is removed from the power slot. Why can't hotels hard wire their 'mini bars'? They don't consume much power. It is however accepted that rooms are small in the historic centre of Verona although we did stay last year in another former monastry, literally across the road, last year with rooms at least 3 times the size. This hotel has clearly reduced everything, including walls, to generate more revenue. The walls are well soundproofed however which is most helpful. The addition of only 1 extra, thin pillow was not appreciated especially with the abscence of a traditional front of house department. I don't think this hotel will wish to participate in the popular Italian tv programme "4 Hotels". No topper either so Bruno would not be amused. The receptionist worked hard, not Valentina who was the Booker contender of the email booking aforementioned, covering 2 hotel locations on same street but 60 metres apart at busy times of check in and check out in a variety if European languages and deserves special recognition. Also special recognition to the breakfast team who ran a very efficient and satisfying service, especially with many guests. The location is superb for access to The Arena and the historic part of town and all the bars and restaurants around. The principal railway station is a short, by taxi, ride of no more than 10 Euro. There is also a fine looking pizzeria restaurant opposite the principal hotel so late arrivals would not need to travel far a meal. We would return, as we live in the next region, but would prefer to have a less cramped superior room with full sized windows and bathroom, perhaps on the 2nd and not 3rd floor although we did request a room above the ground floor due to traffic noise on cobbled streets as we live by choice in rural isolation. We would also request a second spare pillow at check in. The central yet quiet location and breakfast service are the deal makers for this hotel although there are other accommodation providers in the area, some which didn't appeal and some outrageously expensive even for this beautiful city.

Perfect location and hotel but overpriced for the quality (the spa on particular is ridiculously expensive)
Rooms were clean and comfortable. No great views or lighting.
