JEN Tanglin by Shangri-La Mini-hotel

Convenient facilities nearby Tanglin Mall. Real boon ro our stay. Jogging to Botanical garden is our highlight. Proximity to Orchard is a bonus. Highly recommend.

Pre‑arrival & Check‑in:
The hotel is conveniently located near Orchard Road, making it easy to access shopping, dining, and transport. Check‑in was smooth and welcoming, with staff greeting me warmly and providing clear information about hotel facilities. The lobby has a relaxed yet elegant feel, giving a good first impression.

Room Experience:
The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished. The bed was comfortable with quality linens, ensuring a good night’s sleep. I appreciated the little touches like complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee facilities, and a well‑stocked bathroom with quality toiletries. Wi‑Fi was strong and stable throughout my stay.

Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel offers a well‑equipped gym, a relaxing outdoor pool surrounded by greenery, and several dining options with varied cuisines. Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight — fresh, plentiful, and well presented, with both Western and Asian selections.

Service:
Staff members were consistently friendly, polite, and ready to assist. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness and replenishing supplies daily.

Location:
While not directly next to an MRT station, the hotel provides easy access via a short walk or taxi to Orchard Road. It’s a peaceful retreat compared to staying right in the middle of the busy shopping district.

Check‑out:
The check‑out process was quick and efficient. Luggage storage service was available for those with late flights, which was very convenient.

Overall Feedback:
My stay at Shangri-La Tanglin Singapore was comfortable and enjoyable. The combination of friendly service, comfortable rooms, and quality facilities makes it a great choice for both leisure and business travellers. I would happily return in the future.

Overall, we love our stay in this hotel. You can ask for a breakfast set that only costs around 10 sgd (this is considered cheap in Singapore). The staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is 3 3-minute walk to the very close MRT. The hotel is connected to Tanglin mall.

Only one thing that the hotel can improve is the check-in time. It says we can check in at 3 pm but that day the room was not ready at 3 pm.

Good stay overall. Breakfast had limited options, pool closes at 8pm.

Booked a Club Room to celebrate a special milestone for my partner and me. Upon arrival, the hotel lobby was bustling with guests checking in and out. Despite the crowd, we were promptly attended to by Suzy, who was very patient in walking us through the various benefits and entitlements that come with a Club Room booking. She was also very helpful and accommodating with the special requests we had made prior to our stay.

While Suzy was preparing our check-in, Yuan noticed that we had driven to the hotel and quickly issued us a complimentary parking coupon. Such attention to detail from both Suzy and Yuan truly set the right tone from the beginning—excellent service delivery!

The room was clean and of a decent size. A minor drawback was that the TV did not support Chromecast, though it did allow screen sharing and HDMI input.

Afternoon tea (2–4 pm) included a simple but satisfying selection: garden salad, assorted Nyonya kuehs, and fresh-cut fruits. The tea and coffee options were also quite good.

Evening cocktails (6–8 pm) were a pleasant surprise with an impressive spread: steamed crystal prawn dumplings, fried prawn rolls, chicken tikka with nasi briyani, fried spring rolls, cream of mushroom soup, cold pasta salad with truffle oil, and cheese platters. Some items from afternoon tea were also served. While no cocktails were available during our stay, the beverage selection included beer, red and white wines, and some spirits. Service at the Club Lounge was exceptional—staff were prompt and attentive, creating a relaxing atmosphere with great views.

Breakfast was served at J65 restaurant between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. It was quite crowded, but the food selection was decent, and we appreciated the freshly squeezed juices. There’s also a live noodle and egg station located outside the restaurant, where the chefs were both friendly and polite.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and felt that the top-up for the Club Room was well worth it. Kudos to the team for making our experience a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!

Check in was done by a very sweet lady. I dont recall her name but she gave very exceptional service. Even breakfast was superb. Ben from breakfast found out it was my daughter's birthday and prepared a cake for us. It was very sweet. He was very patient in showing us every station. The spread of choice was not very compelling but the service from check in to check out have been very satisfying. A side note i think its time to change the hotel pillows as they are very thin even using 2 was not comfortable. Had to request for additional but only able to receive 1 extra. But overall it was a very satisfying and happy stay even if it was just for a night.

It was a great impromptu one-night stay over the Mothers Day weekend. Service Staff was great, (halal!) Buffet Spread was pretty good and pool catered to all ages 😀

We were greeted with warm smiles from the minute we arrived at Jen Singapore Tanglin and the front desk personnel were so kind and generously upgraded our hotel room to a higher floor with a city view. We appreciate such gestures. The room was clean and cosy, even though there was an odd scent in the corridor that didn't bother us. For added hygiene, the toilet seat includes a little bidet beside it. The room beds are comfortable rather than hard the ones. It is located directly across from Orchard Boulevard Mrt (Brown line). Also, we can go straight to Tanglin Mall at level 2 from the hotel for a quick lunch or dinner. Tanglin Mall also includes a grocery store (CS Fresh). It's quite a walk to Orchard Road. It takes us roughly 10-20 minutes (depending on your speed) to walk to Orchard Road or the ION Mall area. If you don't mind walking, you can explore the restaurants and cafes in the around area. What actually defines this hotel, however, is its service. Every employee we encountered, from housekeeping to concierge, was genuinely friendly, helpful, and attentive. We wouldn't mind returning here again 😊
