Lloyd's Inn

We have stayed at the quirky Lloyd’s Inn a few times now and love it. The integration of the outdoor bathroom into the living area is seamless. The rain shower is fantastic, like getting caught in a heavy downpour. We love wallowing in the fountain but we didn’t get a chance this time and we stayed longer than usual. Over the years the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms and property has been maintained, everything still feels fresh and new.
The staff are very welcoming and are a joy to deal with so charming and helpful, even giving us options on how to get to the out of the way places we seek. We always stay in Singapore on our way home from a tropical resort holiday, finding Lloyd’s has allowed us to extend that feeling of relaxed resort living with more freedom.

In the heart of town with a slice of quite = best mix for travellers and locals alike. Highly affordable room rates for room size. Best rooms are the ones with outdoor space. Feels like you are not in Singapore at all!

One of my favourite hotel in Singapore to go to. Great location near Orchard road, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. Quite original architecture and quiet place.
Unfortunately there is no room inside the hotel for the breakfast.

It looks super hip. I wonder who designed this. However, like other people mentioned many times already, toilet door not shutting tightly worried me a bit at first. Luckily I didn’t meet any bugs yet. And I actually think having an outdoor bathroom (not just a toilet but a rain shower and an open air tub) is a very rare kind of luxury.

Super nice garden and terrace with a cozy pool. However, I didn’t use the pool because it didn’t look absolutely clean like the pools at 5 star hotels. But maybe I will try tomorrow morning.

Making doors close tighter isn’t difficult. I hope the property makes an improvement for this issue because it is such a nice place otherwise.

A nice little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff alone deserves 5 stars. We spent 2 nights there and it was very pleasant. The room had small flaws, the sheets had small holes, but everything was very clean during our stay. It worked for us.

Located about 40 minutes drive away from the Changi international airport in Singapore, Lloyd's Inn is an inn (yes, it's right there in the name). Comparable perhaps to a small boutique 3-star hotel, Lloyd's Inn boasts just 35 rooms, with its main facility being a dipping pool. The appeal of Lloyd's Inn lies in its tranquil minimalist zen ambience surrounded by nature, and its proximity to the nearby Orchard and River Valley areas of Singapore with ample dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

Ambience at Lloyd's Inn is tranquil and relaxing. Surrounded by ample natural greenery and located in a quiet estate, the inn is flanked by high walls, with a raw industrial minimalist feel that blends urban and nature beautifully. Rooms are located along tight corridors that lead to inviting open communal spaces. The place is cool even during the heat of the day.

I stayed at the Business Room, and the overall experience was great.

What I liked - the comfortable lounge sofa, the wide working desk with decent business chair, provision of sufficient toiletries, the comfortable queen bed, the daily housekeeping, the clean outdoor shower and bathroom, the small multi-purpose side table.

What I didn't like - the poor cable television reception with frequent static, the poor soundproofing as you can clearly hear noises along the corridor (thankfully not from other rooms), the shallow in-room sink which made hand-washing challenging, and the small open wardrobe which gets in the way.

What I thought could be improved - a cushion for the sofa would have been nice, better shower curtains that could draw the full length of the bathroom and toilet, a business chair with arm-rests for added comfort, and maintainence for the door handles which were a little loose (though the locking mechanism was secure).
