The room itself was okay. The design felt a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable, which is what matters most. A big thanks to the housekeeping staff, especially Chunhong (I hope I spelled her name correctly) on Level 8, who did a great job.
Breakfast had a wide variety of options and the staff were very friendly throughout my stay. However, I was a bit confused about the Halal status. According to a site I found (halaltag.com), the hotel has a Halal kitchen, but I couldn’t find any Halal logo or confirmation on the hotel’s official website. Because of that, I chose to stick to fish and vegetarian-based food only.
A few minor things to note. The shower didn’t drain properly, and the water would pool up after a while, likely due to the slope of the bathroom floor.
There was no bottled water provided in the room either, I had to refill and boil, so I ended up buying drinks from Cold Storage especially after a long day, which is conveniently located in the connected mall.
TV channels were quite limited. If you’re here for a holiday and plan to spend time in the room, it might get a bit dull. There is a mirror-cast option to connect your phone to the TV, but that may not be very practical, especially for those with young kids.
All in all, it’s a good place for a short business trip — clean, convenient, and with friendly service.
We will return for sure but I'm not gonna stay cool the next time round. Next time, don't leave us hanging!
