Hotel Traveltine

It is very popular with tour groups, so breakfast is packed at certain times for breakfast. The food isn't fancy, but it is enough to start the day.. Staff are friendly, but the hotel rules are strict and lack flexibility - lots of things incur extra charges, including self-service laundry. The roof top pool is quite good.
Close to Arab quarter and a hawker center, so lots of food options are nearby.
It was fine, but I probably won't go back again.

I have some mixed feelings about our stay at Hotel Traveltine.
Overall it was a good experience as the hotel was nice, in a good location, the room was clean too, and the pool was amazing.. but the room had so very limited space and the cleaning service was so hectic.. we booked a triple room and we only got one chair and nowhere to put our luggage? Later I asked for an extra chair at least and got a small plastic one so we could at least put some smaller items there.
Also, there was nowhere to hang our towels and clothes in the bathroom? I know that in Singapore most of the rooms have limited space but it is really not about that.. the hangers we had in our bathroom were only enough for 2 people at best but not for 3. And as we were already overcrowded in the room, this was rather frustrating.
About the cleaning service: one day, we only got 2 new towels for the 3 of us (they took the 3 towels from the day before), another day there was no cleaning at all, they didn't even empty the trash, and sometimes the towels were stained too. There were good days too, and in those cases the cleaning was spotless :)
One other thing was the drainage in the bathroom.. this would be good to repair.
But the staff at the reception was really great and helpful, they helped us rightaway anytime we turned to them and they were nice too. (I read the reviews about them not being nice but we didn't have that experience)
