Amaranta Hotel - SHA Plus

I’ve stayed at Amaranta Hotel countless times over the years, but unfortunately, the standard and quality have steadily declined. Issues range from clogged bathroom drains and water seeping from the bathroom into the toilet to housekeeping repeatedly failing to change and replenish bath towels despite constant reminders and complaints. On one occasion, when I requested a towel after housekeeping forgot to provide one, the hotel staff informed me that they had run out and could only offer the towels from the swimming pool. Additionally, loose power sockets made charging my phone difficult, and there were occasional power cuts in the entire room. I’ve given this hotel many chances, but I definitely won’t be staying here again.

Never coming back again!
Our check-in time was 2:00 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM, but they told us they needed 30 more minutes to finish cleaning because the previous guest checked out late. Isn’t it the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that there are no overlapping bookings before allowing late check-outs? But we decided to wait the extra 30 minutes.

When we returned at 2:33 PM, they told us it would still take about an hour because the previous guest had smoked in the room, and they needed time to remove the smell. We told them we were okay with the smell and just wanted to get into the room as soon as possible. Alternatively, we asked for a temporary room. They flatly rejected both requests and insisted that if we wanted a temporary room, we would have to pay extra.

At this point, we felt it was extremely unfair to be made to wait for nearly 2 hours, especially when the delay wasn’t our fault. The hotel offered no satisfactory solution—only that we had to wait. We didn’t finally get into our room until after 4:00 PM.

The next issue we faced was that there was a rat in the room! I’ve attached a photo of the rat that chewed on my seaweed from my luggage. Can you imagine how unhygienic it is to have a rat in your room, especially with our clothes left in open luggage?

Additionally, the hotel furniture was quite old, and the towels were the cleanest thing in the room. One of the toilets had no hot water, and the shower head in another toilet couldn’t be mounted properly, meaning we had to hold it while showering.

In summary, this was a terrible experience. We will definitely not consider this hotel again.
