I don't understand why keeping Bangkok clean resulted in you fining me.

Here's what happened: I am a smoker, but I fully understand that smoking is not allowed inside the room. Therefore, I went to smoke on the **public street outside your hotel's driveway**.

After finishing, I didn't want to leave the cigarette butt on the ground in a public place, so I brought it back to my room to dispose of it. This is because your hotel doesn't seem to have any public waste bins or ashtrays available for discarding such items.

The next day, when I returned to my room after going out, I found a letter from you stating that I had smoked *in* the room and imposing a fine of 5000 THB. I felt extremely frustrated and helpless. I immediately went down to your front desk to explain the situation. However, the staff member there barely listened to my explanation and showed me a photo taken from my room's waste bin, which indeed contained a cigarette butt.

I kindly request that your hotel improve the **signage and instructions for smokers regarding where smoking is permitted. During check-in, I was not informed at all about designated smoking areas.

It was only during this argument with your staff that I was finally told about the location. (I noticed your front desk only has one **small photo, roughly 4R size, indicating the smoking area.)
