Good clean new hotel. Spacious rooms. However constant noise from planes taking off throughout the day as very close to airport and directly below flight path!

Sanae Hotel Chiangmai is set in Chiang Mai, just a short walk from the trendy Nimman Hemin area and 1640 feet from MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center.

Found this hotel for being a consistently highly rated hotel On all the travel apps for the Nimam area. Highly recommend if staying for short term weekend or traveling with families as the rooms had tons of space. Reception’s English is minimal but they make it simple enough to check in/out.

We booked in early December which is supposedly high-season but was a very easy process through Chase rewards with great seasonal deal for 3 days while we looked for our 1 month location. A very comfortable starting point to explore the more built up area of Chiang Mai before longer living more locally.

The Deluxe room was clean, and VERY spacious with a large sliding door to the bedroom. The small kitchenette area had a large sink, larger-size fridge, water kettle, large wooden table and bench seat and large 3 seater sofa seating area. There was strong tv & AC in both rooms, and enough storage throughout to move in as an apartment. The balcony was north facing towards Maya mall over the small hotel backyard with a small pool. Bedding extremely comfortable and pillows were fluffy. House cleaning provided 4 bottles of water every day. WiFi available, but not the fastest. For work, we would depend on the VERY AFFORDABLE tourist data plan we bought from AIS at Maya Mall.

The airplane noise exists, but so minimal and infrequent enough for me to feel this was not an issue. Friday night parties can be heard from the neighboring cafe and went until 12 and start to close down, which wasn’t really a problem for us as late sleepers.

Highlights of this trendy location is ideal for access to Maya Mall & One Nimam. Across at the street crossroads are Ristr8to (very lively during daytime) & Guu Fusion dessert (very lively at nighttime, open late for Chiang Mai). Restaurants and cafes are literally downstairs from the reception on this quieter street. In general, this hotel sits on a quieter street in a hot spot location.

Although our flight arrived later at night, we checked in just in time as the fine print says cut off time is 11pm, but not sure how much they enforce this.

Nice hotel. Breakfast is good. Ask before ordering the berry waffle if berries are in season as they dont inform you that the fruits vary by season.
