Baron Beach Hotel

Very well located. The hotel is, however, getting on in years and the price is a bit high for what is offered. When we got to the room, we were missing towels and any showering material. The breakfast is in line with the normal location, nothing exclusive. If you don't need luxury, then this hotel is definitely good.

We had 3 rooms. Room 407 had no table and the twin single bed middle light had no cover exposing the light bulb (see pic) … the least the hotel could do was to replace the light fixture. Room 409 same like 407 but had a small table and light fixture had no exposed bulb. Room 411 was the best with a solid hard king size bed which some reviewers report as too hard but was okay for my back. It also has a much larger tv about 36 inch.

These rooms are in building B. Which requires guest to go to the pool area and change to a 2nd lift to this building. Also these rooms faces the back alley, the even number rooms like B-410, B-412 … B-420, etc has a small room because of a small balcony facing the hotel pool.

Breakfast is basic, comes with cereal, sliced wholemeal or white bread and mini croissants. Fried rice, day 2 had spaghetti for the westerners, day 3, 4, 5 had alternatives to suit the group bookings based on the demographic of the hotel guests. Daily there is either french toasts or pancakes, 2 types of cut fruits, ready made omelette, sunny fried eggs or cooked through eggs or hardboil eggs. Porridge is available everyday with either chicken, fish or plain. This is good. Rice porridge can’t go wrong as long it is hot. Day 2 porridge was just warm, I suppose it was getting late. Breakfast is from 6 AM to 9:30 AM.

Hotel entrance is opposite the Pattaya Central side entrance. Just 35 meters away.

If the price is right, it could be an okay hotel to stay. The main thing it is relatively clean, safe, close proximity to eateries, Pattaya Beach and Pattaya Central Mall by Festive.

We only opted for this property as it was close by to the beach and next to the mall but I will not recommend anyone if you are looking for a luxury stay. The rooms were no doubt spacious but they were not maintained in terms of cleanliness. I stayed there for only night and really wanted to switch our stay to somewhere else but considering we had to spend most of our time exploring outside we decided to not waste our times and continue with the trip.
