Reviews
Breakfast has both Indian and Thai Options, we had tried both, personally liked Thai a bit more.
They have good coffee options also in Thai cuisine.
We had tried their Thai Massage available in their hotel and it was also good.
Would recommend this.
Reception people they don't no how to treat customers and how to give service.
They not kept basis Toilet Kit in the Rooms and water as well.
Even we request with them also by the time they will provide again next day they don't follow.
I would not like to recommend to anyone to choose this hotel, since we are in Travel industry and take many bookings for my clients , so for us itself they are doing like this then think if you take it directly online.......
The gym was another letdown. It’s outdated, with damaged equipment that needs serious attention. If you’re someone who enjoys staying active, you’ll find the gym here far from satisfactory.
The swimming pool, which I was looking forward to, turned out to be a negative experience as well. The water was not saline, and it caused discomfort to my eyes, which made swimming unpleasant.
Adding to the frustration were the noisy neighbors, which made it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the lift was often inaccessible in the mornings because the cleaning staff were using it, forcing me to take the stairs—a real inconvenience.
The location is another downside. The hotel is far from Pattaya Beach, and by the time you walk there, you’re likely to feel exhausted. This added a layer of inconvenience to my stay that I hadn’t anticipated.
Overall, the Grand Bella Hotel did not meet my expectations. With so many issues, I would not recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Pattaya.
You can get far better room in 800-1000 baht
Room service not available.Room not clean.
Room very bad smell. For families not recommended this hotel.Small place for complementary breakfast making the people fighting for food.
This hotel is not maintaining the 4 star facilities.
Staff were truly accommodating and work very hard for a salary I'm sure that is less than back home (Canada). I especially want to commend three people who work the front desk. May was especially resourceful and accommodating from the first day I arrived. Rain spent the last couple of days of my vacation taking care of myself and my guest. He too made sure to respond quickly when I had questions and fielded any issues I had such as accommodating my requests for a pool towel when no one was at the location where they were being distributed. Chelsea is a new employee who works hard at learning the many different roles in the hotel. He listened attentively & his English was easy to follow. All three of these employees definitely had more than sufficient English to help resolve any questions or concerns I may have had throughout my stay.
Note: be prepared for some culture shock. I was not expecting the majority of the clientele to be groups of mostly Indian men. It has NOTHING to do with their race but more so SOME of their mannerisms & lack of personal space with other guests in the hotel. This truly made the stay awkward.
I was truly grossed out by SOME of their mannerisms such as hocking up phlegm and spit then ignoring the signs that posted no spitting near the main lobby pool. I also was revolted by the men who smoked alongside the pool when there is a specific area designated for smoking. It made that part of my vacation quite uncomfortable.
I did however enjoy my time in the pool on the 8th floor.
Breakfast was passable. There are two rooms you can choose from. One is called the Taj Mahal and the other is called The Flamingo. I was a little annoyed that the food on both sides were different. I assume it's because one area is halal and the other isn't. I really wanted the choice to eat in both areas but was told I needed to choose which I was unhappy about. I feel that there shouldn't be any segregation and opportunity to try foods from both areas.
In future, I would suggest that they have the food in the same common area but separate the halal from the Non-Halal food allowing guests access to choice. This way food won't be cross-contaminated and people who have halal and non halal guests in their party can sit together.
Again, this isn't a hotel to write home about but it definitely was a good place to stay in terms of location, accommodations and cleanliness.
Thank you again to May, Rain and Chelsea for their efforts to make sure my guest and I were comfortable with our stay despite some of the guests being so uncleanly & very much individuals who invaded personal space 🙏🏼 I would also like to commend the amazing cleaning staff who were quick, polite and efficient. They truly work hard and we're consistent.
Just a note to future guests: The service you receive will be a direct reflection of your behaviour when communicating and interacting with staff. Just like any other establishment, if you are unkind and treat staff beneath you, just because you are the customer, please be aware that there is a limitation as to how much abuse customer service should tolerate. The customer is NOT always right. Be a decent human and be kind and polite. Treat people with common courtesy. It's not that difficult
Something else worth noting when booking your accommodations here, might I suggest that you ask the hotel to book your taxi to and from the hotel. It should cost about $1,500 baht for a smaller taxi that would accommodate two pieces of luggage for two individuals. Those who need a larger taxi would be paying 1800 baht. Cabs are regulated through the airport. So be aware in case you're charged more than 2,000 baht to get here
The reception area (looks like there is always group of people waiting for train)... my experience was not too good as they were not at all hospitable. This hotel offers you free breakfast in which you get two options Taj Mahal restaurant which an Indian breakfast buffet and the other is normal buffet with all the Thai influenced items. In case you feel like seeing stuff first in either of the place which is next to each other divided by wall then you have to be very patient with their staff because they will question you on your choice selection. 1st day we had it in normal buffet and 2nd day in Indian buffet... the difference in the treatment you might notice a bit... but let's get stuffed. Please don't be shy have it to the fullest. Let's talk about the food (breakfast) here. Looking at Idli sambar don't stuff your plate directly because they use good amount of tamarind in everything.
The pool is good and there is a Spa place too... would advice personally for ladies not to take that option.
Overall comments good for bachelor but not good for a family trip. The rooms are good but the staff near reception is horrible.
Harsh behaviour from folks at the reception, should learn some manners big time, or else they will spoil their reputation pretty soon.
The food is good at breakfast buffet. But once again staff rude and u professional, for example buffet is till 10am, and food is over and many counters by 9am.
Rooms quite good, we took the pool view deluxe room which had a bathtub, it was quite good. But once again unprofessional staff. The hotel allows you to bring in guests(when you are in Pattaya you know what kind of guests may be brought to hotel). The aftermath was disastrous, we had a neighbour who were very loud at 5am in the morning and disturbing others sleep. We called reception but no one bothered to answer.
So yeah facilities are good but they need to invest in their staff otherwise word of mouth travels fast and they would lose their reputation.
Otherwise the location is good, close to beach, 7eleven and many eateries. Only bad thing is the staff at reception.
And yeah check in time is 2pm, even if you are ready to pay extra they won't entertain you to early check-in, and they do that very rudely.
Our only issue was the doors to the large reception area were left open during the late evenings allowing numerous mosquitos to be prevalent resulting in unnecessary bites and for a hot reception. This was uncomfortable for us and must be uncomfortable for the staff too who were often batting away midges while in conversations.
It's not a good look for a four star hotel and I hope the management reconsider this policy.
We would recommend this hotel and would definitely consider returning to it on our next trip to Pattaya.
