Sultan Sipahi Resort Hotel

While choosing this hotel we didn't expect much as we've seen some reviews, so we tried to keep our expectations low. Even with that, we were disappointed.

The hotel in general:
- old and neglected.
- they charge you 3 EUR per day and per device for wifi outside of the lobby. So if you have a smartphone and a laptop, you'll have to pay 6 EUR/day to use wifi on both.
- no AC in the corridor.
- cleaners were leaving empty plates and cups on the corridor next to the stairs for a few hours. We accidentally stepped on the dishes, as we didn't see it and didn't expect it there.
- the only upside is the location (hence 2 stars, not 1) which lets you enjoy the city and spend as little time in the hotel as possible.

The room:
- we got a room on the 1st floor with the view on the dirty roof of the restaurant that is located below
- for some reason we had just 2 narrow curtains that didn't cover the windows completely. It was especially problematic as the restaurant below had lights located almost on our balcony. As you can imagine, the lights were very visible in the night making it feel like it's the middle of the day.
- the room itself was very old and dirty. The cleaning service was also pretty bad - we found some old bikini in the closet so it was clearly not cleaned before our arrival.
- the AC was super loud making it hard to sleep. It was also leaking on our heads in the night when we tried setting the temperature below 24 Celsius.

The food:
- Not bad but very few local dishes. Mainly typical European food, so we were a bit disappointed that we couldn't try more Turkish food.
- the food is not labeled so you have to guess what you're eating if you're not sure.

The staff:
- not very pleasant - for example, one night a cook was preparing some meat for guests in the dining area. We asked him what kind of meat that is, to which he responded "normal meat" with angry face.
- the staff was playing loud Russian disco music and dancing with the guests the day Russia struck Lviv and killed 7 people there, which was very disrespectful.

So I do not recommend Sultan Sipahi Hotel,
and I strongly advise you to choose another hotel in the city center if you have an option.

Don't go to this horrible place, no matter how much you think it can't be that bad. Trust me, it is. It wasn't just us; 75% of all the people who went there were unhappy about the place. The workers are rude, the food is terrible and almost the same every day. They even wrote to me one week after we arrived and asked me to pay more money for my stay because they had calculated something wrong. The waiters are very rude and called our children devils. One waiter came to my wife and asked her if she was a mother and if we hadn't taught our children to eat their food! We have traveled around the world, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you choose to go anyway, just remember that I warned you! You will regret it! There are ten hotels around this one, and all the Turkish people told us that we chose the worst hotel!

Worn out hotel with an excellent location. Food is edible but lifeless, and the breakfast is very lackluster. Lunch and dinner is basically the same food every day with slight variations.

I don't understand why they don't clean or maintain any part of the hotel at all. It looks like almost every square meter everywhere is somehow smudged, scratched or worn out. Even the tables in the restaurant are all worn out. There's probably three kinds of molds in our bathroom. Walls, floors and ceiling look either dirty worn out. AC doesn't seem to work at full capacity anywhere, so you are just wiping away sweat everywhere. Our kid's bed was broken, and was fixed with plastic straps. Our balcony door didn't have a lock or a handle. The hotel is straight up hazardous to kids in our room at least.

I'd spend my holiday somewhere else.

Check in took forever. They also give only one room card, so the AC wouldn’t be running while the guest is not in the room! WIFI only available in the lobby, for WiFi in the room you have to pay extra. We we two adults and two toddlers. We received only 2 medium and two small size towels. For more towels you have to pay extra! The first room had only 3 beds in it, but we were four! Sheets were nasty, extra sheets in the closet were stained as well. The AC was old and extremely loud, right over the beds.
The second room was a bit better, but as dirty as the first one. Dead moths sticking on the closet and in the bathroom. The room was never cleaned, insects not removed.
Food was bad quality, breakfast eggs not every morning available. Only cooked eggs.
We basically ate salad every day.
The lobby and the elevators were always wet and stunk of chlorin. They never bothered to clean after the guests.
No AC, only in the rooms when the room card was in the slot!
Only positive thing is that the beach was across the street. Tried to stay out of the hotel and only sleep there.
You can imagine how the gym and spa looked: dirty!
Checked out two days early! Horrible experience!

Never ever again! Don't spend you money to that place. You will never see a good (normal) food there. No meat on breakfast, line to pancakes. I had a hole in the ceiling. They pretended to see it for the first time. Although the lime fell off a long time ago and the cleaner not remove it from the floor many days before me😂😂 it was my second and last time in that hotel. First time was in2018 and it wasn't so bad. Kahya cost the same money
