Hotel Amira Istanbul

The Amira is a solid choice for a stay in Istanbul.

The staff of this hotel went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

The decor of common areas was a bit outdated and not exactly "enchanted with elegance" as stated on the website. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the beds especially were excellent. Breakfast selection was very good.

The location is very good, but it is a 10 minutes uphill walk to the main Sultanahmet area which is somewhat tiring. But no complaints.

Again, the staff were really excellent and turned an average hotel experience into a top experience.

Super hotel, well located within walking distance of main attractions and plenty of restaurants. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Sunset from the roof top bar was a highlight. Rooms were fine but we spent little time in there. Good breakfast, lots of choice

Firstly this hotel is in a perfect location to explore the old town. Really near the blue Mosque and there are loads of fabulous restaurants within a short stroll. The hotel itself is good. Positives were the fantastic aircon (essential), great rooftop bar and decent gym. Areas that need improvement is the horrendous wifi which just cuts out and disappears, pointless cutting out TV and rooms are not as nice as they appear on the photos. Breakfast is OK but not that exciting. Staff were great though and I did really enjoy myself here and for the money it's a great option.

Staff is exceptional here. Always anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. Sam was especially helpful. So were the breakfast staff.

Location is outstanding, easy walk to everything in the old town. Felt very safe walking at night. Numerous restaurants and shops nearby.

Only criticism is that the rooms could use updating. Clean and quiet.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Hotel Amira. The staff was incredible. They were friendly and professional! They welcomed us every time we walked in the door. When we arrived our room was decorated in rose petals with a small bottle of wine for us. How lovely! The restaurant had delicious choices for breakfast especially the warm flat bread made by the charming woman. We didn't get to enjoy the rooftop bar/deck due to weather, but we did enjoy a beer from there on night. When the city was closed down due to May Day, our front office staff ensured we were notified as well as went out of their way to get us to our next destination. The location to all the sites was perfect - a little uphill climb, but nothing major. I highly recommend this hotel!

We spent six wonderful nights here and enjoyed it immensely. Although this hotel is a bit dated, it is fully functional. We were given a suite with a spacious bedroom with TV, living room with a TV and a small balcony. Breakfast is a treat with the availability of freshly made flat bread. Housekeeping is superb! Our room was kept clean and tidy. Best of all was the service of the entire front desk staff. They were helpful, courteous, informative and always smiling. This hotel is located near the Blue Mosque and other sites with taxi stand right outside the front door. Well worth the effort to stay here!!!

Great place! Great location within walking distance of many of the historical sites. Service was phenomenal! Was our first time in Istanbul and I was so pleased we chose this hotel. All staff was super attentive to our needs, and tried to make sure that we had the best experience possible. The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. We felt completely safe, walking anywhere, and everywhere we had to, and this place was close enough that we could walk to most of the major locations. I would highly recommend this place for anybody who’s looking to come to Istanbul.

This hotel couldn't be better located; you can easily walk to all the major tourist spots. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring our experience was top-notch. Our room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The highlight of our stay was definitely the fantastic open buffet breakfast, with Gozleme stealing the show. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay.

Would I stay here again knowing what I know? Absolutely. Would I recommend to a friend? Highly!

Our room was quite large with its own private balcony. The bathroom had a bathtub, which was the primary reason for booking with this hotel.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, I can’t say enough nice things about them.

The hotel is in close walking distance to the Blue Mosque and other attractions. There is a convenient store across the street for snacks and drinks.
