The hotel's accommodations were satisfactory, however, our stay was severely compromised and despite my desire to provide positive feedback, I am unable to do so.

I reserved the hotel as a surprise for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary. While my husband and I are also newlyweds, this was not the primary focus of the trip. Seeking a luxurious and memorable experience, I opted for a suite rather than a standard room.

Regrettably, the night before our departure, my husband's wedding ring went missing. We promptly reported the incident to the hotel staff the following morning. To our dismay, the individual at the reception desk responded in an unprofessional manner, immediately becoming defensive and rejecting the hotel staff of wrongdoing.

Both my husband and I have extensive experience working in the hospitality industry, specifically at a renowned five-star hotel in Scotland. Drawing from my expertise in reviewing hotel accross the globe, I am well-versed in the appropriate procedures for handling situations involving missing items from guest rooms.

We have not engaged in any public drama in front of other guests, which is likely the reason they treated us as if we were being dishonest. They have not formally documented the missing rink, nor have they requested photographs or any information regarding its appearance. My husband has sent them numerous messages and emails, but each time he has been disappointed because the hotel has not shared any information with us and has attempted to blame us.

It was suggested that he should wait, which is understandable. However, if I possess three very expensive dresses, should I wear them all the time?

One of the primary reasons why individuals choose to stay in five-star hotels is the expectation of enhanced security and superior customer service commensurate with the higher price. Regrettably, these expectations were not met on this occasion.

It is particularly disappointing that this incident occurred during a significant family event. As a wife, the knowledge that my husband will never have the same ring that we exchanged during our wedding is deeply distressing.

I would like to issue a warning to all prospective guests to be extreme caution when considering this hotel for their accommodations. Their lack of proficiency in handling issues, coupled with the absence of established procedures for addressing the disappearance of items from guest rooms, is deeply concerning. Instead of diligently investigating the matter and providing guests with appropriate information, they resort to placing blame on the guests.

Unfortunately not all five start establishments come with five start service and five start way of dealing with problems.
