Side Palm D'or Hotel All Inclusive in Side

I loved this place. Was nice and close to the beach. Room was pleasant and clean. Comfortable bed. Absolutely amazing food ! We loved the buffet style meals. Value for money 100%. Highly recommend. And I will be visiting again

We've just left Palm d'Or, we had a lovely time. The hotel was in a very quiet location and only had about 12 guests staying.
The hotel has just had a refurb.
Everything is freshly painted and bathrooms refurbished.
All new air conditioning.
New beds with brand new sheets.
The quiet location suited us, a 10 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins to all the shopping and bars etc.
The staff didn't speak much English, but were very helpful and friendly .
The food was fantastic 😋 really fresh .
I'd totally recommend and hope to return later in the year.

Location of property means alot of walking or taxis to get around, the property is clean and rooms are spacious and the staff friendly.

For a 4 star property the food choice seemed poor overall, some dishes we're tasty but I found myself eating out sometimes. Not to sure chips as a breakfast choice is right I would rather they had a machine for toasting bread.

The hotel is located in a fairly quiet place. Mostly Turkish families come here, so you can hear Turkish speech here more often. Lots of children. No animation in the evening. Turkish music plays in the pool. The food is also Turkish. During our 9 days of stay, we had fish for dinner twice. For lunch - chicken, meat, some fried sausages. For lunch and dinner, there is always one type of soup. A huge number of sauces, but they are an acquired taste (yogurt dressings, tomato). Desserts are mostly monotonous - cakes made of semolina or some kind of cereal, in different colors. Fresh vegetables, stewed. Rice, noodles, potatoes. Fruit - 2 types for lunch and dinner. The bar offers free cola, fanta, sprite and some alcoholic drinks (we didn't take them). The cook often comes out into the hall and asks if everything is to your liking. You can also often see the owner of the hotel - in the lobby, in the dining room or near the pool. The lobby is divided into several parts, each with an air conditioner, but only the one in the reception area works, and you need to turn it on yourself. In general, the administrators are unhurried, but they help with any question. They speak English and Turkish. It is difficult to see Russians in the pool. Mostly Turkish families swim. The room was cleaned every day, but the towels were not changed. The first few days the maid made swans out of them for us) the beach is not far, through an underground passage. Sun loungers are paid (not all beaches allow it, you need to negotiate, but here they already understand Russian well). We went to coppa beach once - did not like it. Firstly, the wrong time - from 9-30 to 16-00. That is, lunch is skipped. And at such a time you can simply get sunburned, the sun does not spare here. Plus, at coppa beach they will come to you every hour and ask if you want to buy something from the bar. In general, it seemed tiring and intrusive to us) a transfer takes you to and from this beach. The hotel itself is conveniently located - not far from the main road, so you can take buses and get to Antik Side. Nearby is a market with pharmacies, souvenir and grocery stores.

So, in order. We arrived early, at 8 am. Keep in mind that if you are carrying non-standard cargo, such as a stroller or scooter, you will need to pick it up somewhere else, not on the luggage belt. A transfer picked us up and brought us to the hotel. Taking into account stopping at two other hotels along the way, the travel time was 1.5 hours. In general, we were at the hotel at 10.40. There they gave us bracelets, immediately gave us the key to the room and we checked into the room. They have lunch at 12.30, so we were able to eat only after 12.30. The hotel itself is small. Of course, when it was new, it could definitely be called a 4-star hotel. But now, when everyone is already tired, it barely reaches 4 stars. The Internet is free only at the reception. But the speed, the speed... It's just a mockery: for 2023, a speed of 0.4 Mbps is nothing at all. It is impossible to talk on Viber. It is difficult to talk on Wattsapp. I hope the hotel owners will read the review and fix this shortcoming. You can buy paid Internet, it will work in the room, the cost is 10 € for 7 days. At the reception, the registrar speaks only Turkish and English. We were lucky that our hotel guide was there at the time of our check-in, there was one small misunderstanding, but he explained in Turkish what we wanted, everything was quickly resolved. It would have taken longer to explain. The staff also does not speak Russian. But they are very friendly and try very hard to help with everything. After a few days, the staff already began to greet in Russian and say thank you and please. Perhaps by the end of the season they will start speaking Russian at all. The hotel is currently half empty. According to a separate guide, the occupancy rate at the beginning of June was 10%, a week later there were twice as many people. By the end of the holiday, it seemed that the hotel was only half full. About 60% of the hotel guests are Russian, about 30% are Turks and the rest look like Germans. The restaurant and the exit to the pool are located on the 0 floor (the Z button in the elevator). The food in the restaurant is not varied, the choice is not large. But everything is deliciously prepared. You will not remain hungry. Of the desserts, there are only semolina and honey cakes. A few days later, sponge cakes began to appear, very tasty. There are also puddings. Of the meat, chicken, turkey and a still unknown meat. There are vegetables, of the fruits, apples, oranges, sometimes apricots, nectarines. For dinner they give watermelon, once there was strawberries, and so strawberries and cherries were seen only as decoration on cakes. In general, as soon as there are more people in the hotel, so more varied food appears. On June 7, there was an abundance of fruit: watermelon, melon, peaches, cherries, grapes, strawberries. And that was it, the abundance was over. It turned out that it was a Turkish night. Every day they give you a bottle of water in your room. Free of charge. They clean the room every day, every day they lay out the beauty of the blankets. The distance to the sea is 600 meters. It takes 7-8 minutes to walk with children. In the place where there is a busy road, there is an underground passage. Very convenient, considering how the Turks "drive" according to their own rules.
