The room is too dark - the bathroom is painted with black and without window 🪟. No kettle, so no possibility to prepare a tea nor coffee ☕. The shower hose was not properly sealed and water was leaking. Power sockets 🔌 are next to the bed, which is nice. Receptionist were professional 👌🏼.

The hotel had some fundamental issues with the AC, which led to changing rooms three times. Having stayed at other Amano hotels, I found their rooms and service to be better compared to the Eastside. However, the hotel’s great location in Berlin and the overall fun experience made up for it.

Very pleasant stay. Clean and comfortable with an excellent location for exploring the centre of Berlin. Good shower, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, good WiFi. Only (minor) issue was that the air conditioning was a bit under-powered so the room was a bit warm. I was able to check-in several hours early and the check-out experience was smooth.

Excellent Stay Near Central Station Just one block from Central Station, the location is perfect. The staff were outstanding—professional, attentive, and welcoming. The room was spotless, and the breakfast was both varied and delicious. The only minor issue was that the AC wasn’t cooling enough, but the staff responded immediately by providing a fan, which greatly improved the comfort.

Fairly close to the city centre, within walking distance if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll, or easily accessible by public transport. The staff provided excellent customer service, even helping us get a drink from the mini fridge, and the prices were reasonable. The beds were comfortable, and check-in was straightforward. The only minor drawback was the size and design of the shower.

Hotel is in a good location and fairly central. Near to a lot of bars and restaurants and train stations. Rooms that overlook the street can be noisy. Not bad. It's fine but for the price, I think it's expensive. It's 17 kilometres from the centre so it's definitely not convenient. At 90-100€ a night, that's expensive. Transport links are good though. What annoys me was the noise the cleaners make outside the rooms. Impossible to sleep through.

I prepaid on Trip.com and went, but except for the fact that I almost had to pay again on site, the service was good, the breakfast was delicious, and they even let me store my luggage after check-out, which was nice. If you only request breakfast on site on the day and think it's expensive, be sure to ask. The staff were friendly though.

Location is very good, subway just outside the hotel and many restaurants, bars, clubs nearby. Room is big enough, especially the bathroom is very big. However the room is on 6th floor and elevator goes only to 5th floor and a long walk distance. No water cooker nor hot water for drink in the hotel. Breakfast is just fine. In general is fairly good but 70 euros is too much for one night.

It's an old hotel, you can notice by the state of the building, furnitures, elevator, and smell. But it's clean and comfortable enough. There's a parking space for 10€ per night. The Novum Hotel Gates Berlin Charlottenburg is situated in an exceptionally beautiful area of Berlin. Very close to the city centre and all amenities. Public transport is easy to find and use. The hotel itself is wonderful, with great service and clean, well appointed rooms. All at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great location and affordable rooms which are spacious and nicely decorated. The bar in the courtyard was lively on Saturday night and a nice place to get a drink but you can't hear the noise when you're in your room. No parking This hotel claimed they had parking, but they did not. They send you a message that says you have to reserve parking in advance, but when you ask to reserve it, they say they can’t. When you get there, there is no parking lot. You park on the street if you can find a spot.
