Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

I want to start with expressing my disappointment and frustration with the lack of WiFi and mobile service. Anytime I wanted to contact anyone I had to go down to the ground floor. The WiFi was just terrible in the rooms.

Now, onto my biggest complaint, there was absolutely no privacy in the rooms. I was sharing a room with a friend and another 2 of my friends also shared a room. In my room, there was no wall between the toilet and the shower, only glass??? Genuinely horrible. As for my friends, their privacy curtain did not go all the way around their shower, so they were always exposed. Even if the room was designed for couples I don't know many people that want to be THAT exposed 24/7.

My third problem was with the room cleaning service, as bed sheets were not changed in my 4 nights there and a towel was not replaced leaving myself with only one.

The last problem is with the breakfast food. It simply wasn't good. The scrambled eggs are genuinely awful along with the breakfast "meats". I will say that the large selection made it so that I was able to work a way around this and still have a reasonable breakfast.

That being said I will admit the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. While the check-in process was smooth and we appreciated being given an early check-in at around 12:30 PM, things went downhill from there. At first glance, the room appeared decent, but upon closer inspection, I discovered that the toilet was clogged, and water was overflowing.

I immediately informed the reception and requested a room change, but my request was denied. Instead, they said they would call a technician. Hoping the issue would be resolved, we left for lunch. However, upon returning, nothing had been fixed. I went back to the reception to follow up, and once again, they said they’d call the technician. After waiting for over half an hour without any sign of help, I made a third trip to the reception desk, this time more frustrated.

What made matters worse was the receptionist’s dismissive attitude. She mentioned that they had plenty of rooms available, yet claimed the technician was too busy to assist. To add insult to injury, she even implied that I might have caused the toilet blockage myself! I insisted on a room change and was finally moved to a room on a lower floor.

Overall, this experience left me with a very poor impression of the hotel. While I hope the remainder of my stay improves, the lack of responsiveness and the accusatory attitude of the staff were incredibly disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience so far.

For a 4 star hotel we were very disappointed. The was was not clean with smudges of various things on the counters. The hotel is marketed as one with air conditioning but it was insufficient and we were given a portable fan to add some air to the room. The water temperature in the shower kept going from hot to cold so showers were not pleasant at all. The plus is that the hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Berlin and right across from the Alexanderplatz train station.
