Now, the real issues start with the room conditions. First off, they only provide feather pillows, with no anti-allergic alternatives, which made sleeping nearly impossible for me. On top of that, the air conditioning doesn’t work at all – the room feels like a sauna, making it incredibly uncomfortable to relax or get a good night's sleep.
And then there's the cleaning, which is practically non-existent. They don’t vacuum, they don’t wipe down surfaces – it’s like they do the bare minimum. All they’ll do is change towels and bed linens, and even that takes multiple requests. For guests staying longer, this is especially frustrating, as there’s no proper cleaning happening. The rest is fine, but it's hard to give them more stars given these important and exacerbated issues.
Staff at reception very helpful and friendly.
The room was very clean and well appointed. The free WiFi worked well. Good to have Sky Sports Top Event in room, meant I could watch Spurs v Chelsea before going out in the evening!
The bathroom was really good with a powerful shower.
Only negative was that the room air con was rather noisy and ineffective. Not a problem in the Winter as you just open the window.
Location is a few minutes from a S Bahn station and Tram stop. You can get to the airport in 10 mins on the S Bahn and its only a couple of minutes on the tram to the old town.
Rooms are very small, those with street views are super noisy and the majority of them are not fitted with a fridge (if they do, it's tiny, smaller than a microwave).
The WIFI coverage in rooms is a joke, most of the times internet doesn't work!
The hotel breakfast is just ok, not many options, especially for those having food allergies and intolerances.
There's a tiny gym in the hotel, but it's just unusable, it's fitted with weights up to 8 kg and there is no bench.
The hotel staff is not helpful at all, they look kinda annoyed from any kind of request you might have. They don't even try to help, even when the room is not as per the booking description, or there are broken items inside (like air conditioning), they keep repeating they are fully booked they don't have any other room available (but it's clear that's not the case).
