Very nice hotel in central location within a few minutes walk of the railway station and Alter Mkt. Compact but comfortable room with large shower and bathroom. No tea/coffee making equipment in room but refreshments were available from the bar. Very clean. Good buffet breakfast selection constantly refreshed. Friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly be happy to recommend it.

5 star location, 5 star service, but 3 star comfort. The location is perfect, the service before and during our stay was great. The room was a little bit disappointing. It was a small room, but the main thing is that the bed was just not comfortable. It was small. Max 160 cm wide, while the website states it should be 180cm. The matrass was hard. The airco was off, probably due to the fall season, which should be fine, but you could not open the windows because of the many noises from the busy street. With the windows closed it was quiet enough, but got very warm very quickly. We will search for another place to stay next time.

We enjoyed almost everything about this hotel: the room,the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the adorable robot in the breakfast room.
We did not like walking through clouds of cigarette smoke at the front door. The smokers need to go elsewhere!

Great location very close to the train station and cathedral. A short walk to the Rhine river and the old town. Staff were really good, room clean and tidy had a bar and severed breakfast. Clean inside with quite modern decor. Good feel to it and made a great base to explore Cologne and very good value.

Air conditioning not working - makes a lot of fan noise but there is no air coming out and the room doesn't cool even after two hours. Just a stuffy room. It's more effective in the evening to open the windows, even if that means it shuts off the AC. Staff was earnest to help, but ultimately futile.
Refrigerators also aren't cool. Can't keep anything fresh in it. It just smells.
Room is clean, although carpeted rooms are never very clean. Bathroom clean, hot shower.

It was generally fine. The reception staff could be more friendly during check-in/check out.There is no tea/coffee/kettle in the room. The hotel is four stars, so we expected that. The mini bar has 2 bottles of complimentary water. The rooms and toilets are clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good. The view from the window was just amazing.

If you want downtown Cologne, this is bang in the middle. So expect some noise late at night but everything is literally on your doorstep, from the cathedral, the bars and restaurants and the river.

During our 1.5 week vacation, we stayed in similar hotel rooms in Brussels, Amsterdam, and Dortmund, and this one in Cologne was by far the most spacious.
The staff were courteous and helpful the few times we interacted with them.
Best of all is the location, less than a 10 min walk from the HbF, passing by the cathedral. A sand bar was operating right across the street, so it was a bit loud during parts of the day, but that's only temporary (during the Euro 2024 tournament), and the noise ended at a reasonable hour.

Overpriced Hotel.
Great Location not far from the Cathedral. The room was very clean but small. Bathroom was really too small. No amenities at all in the bathroom, not even a bath cap. Just two soap dispensers.
The pillows were too soft and very unconfortable.

We enjoyed a 3 days stay. The hotel is very well located. The staff is friendly and the facilities are good. Breakfast with good variety of options and there is the bar open all day. Our room had a nice view of the Dom, but photos in the website may the superior double room looks bigger than it in fact is. For those going by car, the parking in the Dom is a good option.
