Courtyard by Marriott Cologne in Koln

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent — close to everything and very convenient for exploring Cologne. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well prepared. The staff were helpful and provided alternative pillows when we requested them, which made our stay even more comfortable.
The hotel itself is well maintained and pleasant throughout. Breakfast was good, and with a few small improvements, it has the potential to be even better. We also appreciated the overall cleanliness of the property, including the breakfast area.
A special mention goes to Ms. Weinberger, whose professionalism and warm hospitality truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and valued, and her attentive service left a wonderful impression. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
We will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Cologne.

We stayed at this new hotel for one night during our visit to Cologne. The hotel is quite new and modern. It's close to the centre and 15-20 minutes walk to the Cologne cathedral. We were offered a room upgrade to a larger room and a free breakfast due to our Marriott status, which made our experience even more pleasant. The room was super silent and made it a great place to sleep comfortably.

The hotel doesn't have much amenities apart from comfortable rooms and a cosy lobby with a restaurant. So it is targeted to meet the basic needs and it exactly does that. The room has nice tea / Nespresso machines and a safe. The bed was comfy and the towels were soft. The bathroom was in a clean state even though we found the toilet brush in the toilet bowls when we entered the room which was a bit awkward as we didn't want to touch it in that state. There was also a nice cookie and water left in the room which was a pleasant surprise.

The decoration in our room was not that well planned as the toilet/bathroom is separated from the bedroom space with a frosted glass only. This is a horrible decoration choice because of privacy reasons. Also if someone needs the bathroom at night, the whole room lights up. Apart from the bathroom, the TV in the room was located in a weird setting where it is placed on the side wall with a 90 degree angle. There is an arm that you can pull the TV from but it also gets in the way of the lamp they placed next to it. We found such a large room is decorated so badly that even small Moxy rooms make use of the space much more effectively.

The restaurant was quite busy when we were there but the buffet had a nice variety of offerings that we enjoyed. Fresh juices and pretzels were our favourite.

Overall, it was a comfortable and good value stay. The hotel is great for a person looking for a semi-central stay at a great value. While there are above areas of improvements, it offers a comfortable stay and we would consider staying here again if we visit Cologne.

We stayed two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Cologne and overall had a good experience. Thanks to Platinum status, we received a nice corner room — spacious and surprisingly quiet despite facing the street. The room was comfortable, though the interior is a bit dated: simple furnishings, carpet flooring, and the space easily could have accommodated a small sofa. Still, everything was clean and functional.

Service was friendly throughout our stay, and the location is convenient for exploring the city. The bar downstairs has a nice vibe, and it was a pleasant touch to receive a voucher with status. Breakfast was just average in comparison — decent, but nothing memorable.

All in all, solid value for the price and a good stay. We’d happily return, especially for a short city trip.

I stayed only one night for a business trip and overall it was perfect. The staff was very helpful, professional, and solution-oriented, always trying to assist. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and functional, with good showers and everything well maintained.

Breakfast was very good, although it would be even better if fresh orange juice were offered instead of bottled. That is really the only high-level complaint.

Overall, a solid 4.5 stars — a reliable, well-run hotel. As it is a 4-star property, the standards are exactly what you expect: clean, efficient, and professional.

Bathroom sink is a bit high by using. We stay 5 rooms and 4 rooms have the same complain. Using Shower ok but not really comfortable.

Nice and clean hotel with great customer service. It was an ok location since it’s not super far from the cathedral. They don’t have a fridge in the room and you have to request one. I found that very odd for this a Marriott hotel. The staff made the stay great since they were very helpful. The receptionist to the cleaning staff and the breakfast assistant were all very helpful and had great customer service.

It's a great hotel and the staffs are very helpful. The location is perfect and very close to both tourist spot and the train station. The water pressure is not too strong for showers and the air condition panel is hard to use, but the staff helped me to make it work.

It’s amazing to live here. All good and friendly, the breakfast is pretty nice, I will book this hotel next time
