The room was really nice and clean. Location is great. Friendly and professional staff, especially Mr. Klar who helped us with our special requests.

In addition he prepared a birthday blessings outside the window and it was really exciting, service above and beyond expectations! Thank you, will definitely come back.

An excellent room with good-quality equipment. Location is good and close to restaurants and grocery stores (e.g. Penny). 10-min walk to train station where you can take trains to the central station. Overall, if you want to visit Cologne, this can be a good option.

We’ve stayed in this hotel, for baptism in Cologne. It was amazing. The place is close to the city, so it’s easy to visit. The staff are really kind and very helpfull. It’s nice to have a drink at the bar before you go to bed. The rooms are very clean and the bed sleeps very well. And breakfast, you can choose what you want, they have so many different stuff. So there is always a choice for everybody. So I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my wife's 30th birthday.

Service from all the front desk staff was phenomenal from checking in until check out. We were booked in quickly on day one with nice clear instructions on how to get to the room. Room was clean and large. Shower had great water pressure and the rainfall option was amazing.

Although like others we had a couple of issues with keycards not working however this was rectified immediately by the front desk staff and it was only a minor inconvenience for us.

Additional bedding was made avaliable to us, ordered online while we were out and had a notification within 10 minutes that it was ready for us in our room.

When we asked about leaving our bags in the hotel after checkout due to a late flight we were told that as members (had signed us up with consent at check in) we could have a later checkout which was a godsend.

Thoroughly impressed with their eco friendly green approach to cleaning the rooms, if we did not want our room cleaned we just leave a card on the door handle and you get a free drink token to use at the bar per person. This is a great initiative for a great cause.

Overall we loved our stay at NH. And we would definitely book again if we end up bsck in Colonge.

I visited the NH Hotel Köln Mediapark for two nights and felt very comfortable there. The atmosphere and staff were very nice, polite and warm! I was even allowed to have breakfast on the hotel terrace. This became possible without much difficulty. Thank you very much for this! I can only recommend this hotel for a stay in Cologne.

Spent the weekend in Köln recently and stayed in the NH Collection Media Hotel, the hotel was spotless and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Special word of thanks to the bar staff who went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after.

We had a fantastic stay for our family vacation! The front desk staff was kind enough to upgrade our reservation to a superior room, and to our great surprise we found a room full of attentions that made the stay special: a little tent for the kids, a giant giraffe plush, free candy and snacks, toys in the bathroom, etc.
The room itself on the 6th floor was very spacious with three beds and a seating corner, and it had a beautiful view over the city and the cathedral. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub. There was even a walk-in closet! Perfect for storing all our stuff out of sight.
The breakfast was really nice too, we particularly appreciated their selection of gluten-free items for our son who has celiac disease.
I found the beds very comfortable, and we didn't have any noise or inconveniences.
The only downside is that now we have to book the superior room each time we come back to live up to our first experience!

I'll go through the good first, and then the bad.

The good:
In terms of size, the rooms are fantastic. Spacious. The staff also fulfilled our request for a room with a bath (when booking) which itself was very relaxing.

We were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor, facing the lake.
We had a great view of Cologne with the cathedral in the distance.
The location is great. 20-30 minutes walk and you'll reach the big tourist hub around the Cologne Cathedral. Not too far from public transport too.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Each member really came through when we needed assistance.
The rooms were cleaned well when we requested it.
I cannot stress enough how good they all were. John would always help us out personally. Great guy.

The bad:
The beds are just not comfortable. We've been in 2 rooms and they were the same quality. Too hard, somewhat lumpy, bits somewhat jutting into your back. We actually had to flip the pillows onto the other side of the bed to avoid some of the big hard lumps.

The worst thing we experienced, however, is the first room we were given. It had some sort of issue with the bidet and the entire room smelled strongly of sewage.

The staff did what they could and swapped us to a different room, so that's fine. They threw in a free breakfast and free drinks at the bar as well. Again, I cannot stress enough how great they were.
But getting put into a room like that in the first place is just unfathomable. This is a 4 star hotel, not a hostel.

Despite all this, we both still enjoyed our stay. And we spent quite a bit of time just relaxing at the hotel. We had a bad first impression, but after the initial issues were resolved, we had a lovely time.
