Reviews
The young lady with dark hair at the reception is extremely rude — perhaps an extra course in customer service wouldn’t hurt.
On the first day, we asked for hangers because there were too few in the room. When we requested 10, she told us it was too much and that they don’t even have that many in the hotel. (Surprisingly, this is a hotel and not a backpacker’s hostel.) At the end of the day, we didn’t receive a single one.
Today I simply asked for a fresh towel to take to the swimming pool to our friend’s house, and she replied that we cannot take the towels outside the hotel because they’re white — which doesn’t make much sense at all.
And yesterday evening at the hotel restaurant, at 22:50, we asked for two glasses of wine — the official closing time according to Google Maps is 23:00 — and the waiter refused. Meanwhile, in the adjacent hall, there was an event going on with loud music that kept us up all night. When we asked why they could continue serving that event but couldn’t pour us two glasses of wine before closing, we were told, “They paid an extra 50 euros.”
Laughable.
It’s a shame that basic courtesy and logic seem to be missing at the front desk and in the restaurant.
We still have three more days here — who knows, maybe by the end of our stay they’ll surprise us with a smile or at least a towel. Fingers crossed!
The location is a little outside downtown but the neighborhood was so cute that I actually loved being able to get away from all the hustle and people downtown. There’s a park close by to stroll through and lots of trails along the little river that runs through the back.
The staff was so kind and generous. They allowed us to drop our bags while we waited for check in, and then let us check in early after a long travel day which was so appreciated. The restaurant outside is also a great add- one of the best meals we had!
All in all- I’d gladly stay here again if I’m ever back in Munich!
