Reviews
However, the immediate area caters almost exclusively to tourists, with limited access to local stores or reasonably priced restaurants. For better dining and shopping options at fair prices, I recommend taking an Uber to Arkan Plaza.
On the downside, the bathroom had a persistent sewer smell, requiring the door to remain closed to keep it from spreading into the room. The room itself was small, with barely enough space to open a suitcase on the bed. While the tours offered are well-organized, they were up to four times more expensive than what can be booked through platforms like Agoda or Booking. The rooftop restaurant, despite the view, was also significantly overpriced—I paid $10 USD just for French fries which is more than a complete dinner meal with dessert at any other location.
Overall, while the proximity to the pyramids and the rooftop view are undeniable advantages, the high tourist pricing and comfort issues make this hotel less appealing for me. I was also overcharged my booking included breakfast but they charge me $18 usd a day for a few boiled eggs. The elevator did not work while I was here and none of the amenities equal a three-star place I would say two-star at best. The staff is nice but there's absolutely some shady practices going on here to extort money out of you. I also think that you're so far from other fun places to do things and hang out it's better to stay somewhere else.
We spent 2 nights here, after the first night we changed room because the window looked out onto lots of air conditioners and they were so loud that we couldn't sleep, we got a room facing the street and of course the street was loud..:)

I liked the hotel overall, but my breakfast on 10Oct2025 was overshadowed by a pattern of micro-racism from one server. It also ruined the last day of my Egypt trip.
1. We had to seat ourselves with no guidance, while white guests who arrived after us were escorted to tables.
2. As service began, the server greeted other tables, offered coffee and asked about omelets, but skipped our table and another Asian table entirely.
3. I watched a neighboring table receive with small talk such as “the strongest coffee in Egypt.” When I politely requested coffee, it never arrived.
4. An Asian guest was told a scenic table wasn’t available, yet it remained empty for the entire meal.
5. When white tables finished, they were asked about the food, offered refills, and had plates cleared; our table received none of this.
I asked the server for their name so I could address the matter appropriately, but they refused to provide it. I am attaching a photo for management’s reference.
I have lived in Canada for years and speak English fluently; language was not the issue.
We may be of different races, but we are all human and this kind of racism must not be tolerated in any setting, least of all hospitality.
I hope management takes this matter seriously, implements training and clear accountability, and ensures all guests Asian travelers included receive the same courtesy and respect.
However, the reservation process left a lot to be desired. We booked and paid for a family room with a balcony and pyramid view several months in advance. After reading about others having issues at check-in, we even confirmed our reservation multiple times before our arrival.
When we got there, the situation was unfortunately familiar. As we waited to check in, the guest in front of us was also dealing with a reservation issue. Once it was our turn, we were told that the room we had booked was “under renovation.” Instead, they offered us two separate rooms on a lower floor with no balcony. While the rooms were clean and did have pyramid views, it was not what we reserved — and clearly, our original room had been given to someone else.
We didn’t argue much, as we had just arrived in Egypt and didn’t want to create stress on our first night. But the experience felt deceptive, and based on other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue.
Despite this, I would still recommend the property for its unbeatable views, cleanliness, and great breakfast — just with a strong caution: double-confirm your room, and be prepared for a possible change at check-in. If not for the booking issue, I would have rated this 5 stars.
First, the view from the rooftop is absolutely stunning—the Great Pyramid feels like it's right in front of you. That was one of the main highlights of our stay and definitely something we’ll remember. The hotel is very clean, and we truly appreciated the quick service whenever we needed something. The breakfast was delicious and freshly served each morning, and we enjoyed the variety of food options available. A special shout-out to Islam, one of the waiters, who stood out with his hard work, kind nature, and professional attitude. He made our dining experience even better—thank you, Islam!
However, we did face some serious issues during our stay. On Saturday, there was a power outage from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and unfortunately, the backup generator was not working. That made the heat and discomfort quite difficult to bear, especially during summer in Cairo. The following morning, we woke up to find no water supply starting from 5:00 AM, and by the time we checked out, the issue had still not been resolved. It was frustrating to pack up and leave without being able to shower or even use the bathroom properly.
Overall, while we really liked the location, view, cleanliness, and service (especially the staff at the restaurant), the infrastructure issues like power and water outages were very disappointing. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that such essential services are maintained in the future.
Would we recommend this hotel? Yes—but with a warning: the view is amazing, the food and service are excellent, but be prepared for possible utility interruptions.
Our room was beautiful — spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was perfectly arranged. The hotel itself is stunning, very well maintained, elegant, and relaxing.
But what really made our stay unforgettable was the service. The staff’s professionalism, courtesy, and genuine hospitality stood out and made a huge difference. You can tell they truly care about the guests’ experience.
I highly recommend this hotel without hesitation. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team — you made our stay so special, and we already can’t wait to come back!
I did run into a minor issue with the hot water not staying consistent. The staff did their best to help, but unfortunately, the issue wasn’t fully resolved. I had to manually adjust the electronic boiler to get hot water, which wasn’t ideal—especially considering the price of the room.
The bed was on the firm side, which may not be for everyone, but waking up to a direct view of the pyramids each morning made it more than worth it. That view is something I’ll never forget.
If the water issue is addressed, this place would be near perfect. Still, I’d recommend it for the view and the service alone.
