Hotel Poseidon Playa

Unfortunately we had not booked a balcony room this time. The rooms are ok but we felt a bit enclosed.
The food was really good. The bar was also very good. Nice staff. The location is brilliant for the beach and old town. Also not too far from the party strip.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Once last year and recently this year. They have two pools and both good sizes and enough sun beds and umbrellas near the pool area and also showers. They have people check the pools as well and the chlorine is spot on in my opinion. In the smaller pool area there is also more shade with some trees. There is also two hot tubs on the higher level I’m sure some people done know about. You have to be over 18 to use them. There is also a life saver every day so safe for kids. This hotel has put everything in place to make it safe. There is also music, water aerobics and foam pool party. They had it every week when I was there. There is also some other games to play by the pool with hotel staff there to get you involved if you wish. There is a bar for each pool as well so snacks, drinks and sandwiches. You can’t swim at night in the pools but this is the same in every hotel so please don’t expect it. Nothing different to what you’d expect.

The locations is a bonus and you are near bars, restaurants and shops. You are also walking distance to the beach. It takes literally about fifteen minutes to get there. Loads of British places as well like bars if you like that sort of stuff there’s a long strip near the beach with everything t you can imagine. There’s also a Burger King on the strip which is walking distance away , a star bucks if you need a dose of high sugar to help you with your diabetes and a Kentucky fried chicken if you are feeling peckish and don’t fancy local dishes and want to stick to western food for some extra cholesterol and high blood pressure from the sodium. You really have everything you need. I’d spend most of my days near the pool and hen go to the beach after five when the sun was not as strong. I’d recommend this hotel.

The restaurant has a very good variety of food and drink. You pay extra for things like wine and mineral water. A bottle of sparkling mineral water is a reasonable £1.50. Every day I was there they had something different like fish and meat. I also liked the fact they have a cook that cooks it there and then. A very nice touch. I enjoyed the food a lot. Fresh , tasty and enough variety. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, the salad bar is always available but i did not see as much variety for sure in comparison so perhaps this could be better. Desert was always good and fruit like peaches, plums, apples and bananas available. A a variety of cakes as well.

Breakfast was great. Always fried eggs and bacon available. Mushrooms as well. Occasionally scrambled was available but not that often which was a shame. You even had a small variety or buns to choose from. Sausages, garlic bread and sometimes pancakes made by a chef. You also have cereals and other stuff, coffee from machine and well as about four varieties of herbal teas. They really cater for everyone. I’m not a massive fan of fry ups but I know know when the Brits travel they cannot deviate from their regular routine so need the same food wherever they go and the hotel knows this and caters for that :-)

Miles of sandy beaches so you can make sure you do your 10,000 steps in work off that extra flab from all the deserts.

Walking distance to old town, shops. Restaurants, bars and restaurants.

If you want wine you can provide your table number and come the next day and they will fetch it. Absolutely no complaints there and the service was always friendly and friendly and excellent. The buttery were clean with no fingerprints which is a plus so staff are well trained on hygiene.

This hotel deserves a 4⭐️ rating. The hotel and rooms are immaculate, breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and plenty of food, being replenished throughout. Staff are helpful and friendly. You cannot reserve beds, but there is no need, we never struggled for one. The hotel is opposite the beach, within 1 minute you can be sat on the beach. It is a 20 minute walk to the old town, 40 minute walk to the strip. Taxi to strip is 10 euros. This hotel appears to attract the older generation of 60+ around the pool has a calm, quiet vibe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is immaculately clean. The pool area is cleaned every evening. The staff cannot do enough for you. Drinks prices are excellent. Food is good with a wide choice for everyone. Every room has an uninterrupted sea view. Would definitely return.

Used to come to this Hotel a few years ago and loved it. The Hotel appears to have been renovated and the bar area is now much brighter and welcoming than previously. This stay was good but spoiled by noisy neighbours in one room. Lots of lovely Spanish guests who were always cheerful and willing to chat.
The food was very nice with a good varied selection available. Staff were excellent. Lovely walk into the old town and if you want to get a bus back the Number 3 bus stops at the hotel.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Restaurant was very clean and food was changed regularly the kitchen staff were constantly topping up and refreshing dishes.
Waters were very efficient and at busy times not long to wait for a table they were cleared quickly and no pressure to move on. The wine with the meal was very nice and very reasonably priced.
Bar staff friendly too. Bar prices were very reasonable too.
On trip advisor there are complaints about it being Spanish. Well, it is in Spain and if you want all English then stay at home.
I found the whole experience very pleasant.

Really enjoyed our stay here. There is a gluten free menu! Comfortable beds, decent pillows. Fantastic views from the balconies. Clean hotel. I'd happily return.
