What a wonderful hotel.
We just spent a week here and have no complaints at all. We were amazed at how clean everything was, even public areas including toilets.
Speedy checking in and in our room within 10 minutes. Sea view room was adequate with stunning view of the sea but not very big, nowhere to sit inside unless on the bed. There are no tea making facilities and no fridge. The shower is incredible, the water pressure is so strong its like having a massage each time you took a shower. All Immaculately clean I must say.
Rooms are serviced daily with fresh linen and towels if you require.
The roof top terrace bar is a calm area to sit and have a nice relaxing drink before heading off (5 minutes walk) to the hustle and bustle of the old town, special mention to Deni the barman, serving our drinks everytime with a brilliant smile.
We opted for half board but only really used breakfast facility. Food was ok, nothing out of this world, it's breakfast, but on par with other holidays we have had recently.
Overall definitely 3 star + in our eyes, Thank you all at The Montemar for our wonderful stay at your beautiful hotel.

What can I say about this 3 star hotel. It deserves to be a 4. The location is beach front right opposite steps to poniente beach. Opposite is a children's play area and a bus stop.
Right near all the bars restaurants and shops of the old town. The harbour is in sight and a short stroll away with plenty boat tours and water sports.
The rooms are basic no brew making facilities and no fridge which would be great if only to store water. We had a sea view which was amazing waking up looking out over the beach and harbour. Some early morning niose from delivery vans and buses The shower and hair dryer was great so powerful. Maid service every day with fresh towels.
The roof top terrace is a great facility its open all day for sunbathing although only 3 comfortable deck chairs the other chairs just normal hard chairs.the bar here opens at 4:30 with a wide range of beers and cocktails. All staff very friendly.
Breakfast is served between 8 and 10:30 with a wide range to suit all . The lounge was a nice size but very load and very busy.

Me and my partner spent 10 nights in the Montemar hotel Benidorm, staff here are absolutely fantastic nothing is too much trouble and they are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is situated in the old town and it has excellent views of the beach from the roof terrace. The hotel is extremely clean and everything about it made our holiday perfect.

Had a lovely time at the montemar, we upgraded to a top floor suite which was amazing, Roberto of the reception was very polite and helpful! The only thing that let us down was having to queue at night for your evening meal, maybe a bigger restaurant should be thought of? Jose worked hard and always helpful! , with the upgrade I was disappointed that we still had to pay for the coffee pods!! Overall a very pleasant stay!

First visit to Hotel Montemar and in July. It was a 5 day holiday in the heatwave of 2025 over there. Montemar is a fabulous location with a 30 sec walk over the road to the beach. No pool, but a rooftop terrace open from 5pm - 12am. The rooms are basic and cleaned daily, but not necessarily the bed sheets. No bath but a great enclosed power shower. We found the hotel was used by many older Spaniards so it was good for getting a good nights sleep. A/C was working well in the room. Small walk-on balcony suited our needs. Mainly for drying towels and t- shirts. Safe available. Meals were breakfast, lunch and evening dinner. A choice of lunch or dinner is available if you are having half board. The food was basic and you will never starve if you have paid for it, but we found ourselves eating out in the evening as there is so much choice in Benidorm. Refuel bar or Gusto bar has fabulous cocktails and food. This hotel suited our needs adequately. Perfect location for a walk into the old town and the new town as it was bang in the middle. Cheap cheerful in a great location. We will be returning for definite.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Room was spacious and clean. Only criticism the pillows were not comfy. Oh and the evening meal starting at 8pm till 10pm was a bit on the late side. Cocktail bar was great. I was bit sad to have left my little pouch of jewellery with an expensive ring in the bedroom. We will definitely return to The Montemar.

Immaculately clean, friendly staff, great location next to loads of restaurants, bars, shops, market stalls and the beach.
Sea view room had an amazing view from the balcony and the 6th floor bar is a must with incredible views.
Breakfast was good with lots of choice.
Only negative was the maid coming in the room 3 times despite do not disturb being on and a noisy AC unit but we didn't need that much.
Would definitely stay again and recommend.

A very well situated hotel right on the sea front of Old Benidorm. It is supposed to be pedestrianised outside, but there is a lot of delivery and taxi traffic that can sneak up on you!
The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, allowing us an early check in when we arrived a couple of hours too early. (Thank you!)
We had a sea front room (314), a small room that had a plastic seat against a small desk, otherwise no other comfort other than a hard bed to sit on. That said, it is immaculately clean with the maid visiting every day with fresh towels and sheets etc. The tv had four UK channels, ITVs 1 to 4.
One down side was that although it is a sea view, you need to be on the 4th or 5th floor to see over the palm trees opposite, but the port is visible. The worst part of the room was the outside noise that penetrated the room. Sound proofing was not thought of when they built this hotel. From the conversations of guests in the room next door to the local authority sending a tanker (pictured the next day) to clean the promedade with high pressure hoses at 01.30 hrs and buses/coaches waiting from 06.30 hrs with engines running every few minutes - it got quite busy from early on.
The restaurant is on the 1st floor but has no windows. It is more like a works canteen than a hotel restaurant. The food is laid out and is either dry or sitting in grease waiting for you to scoop it out of the tray. We did not eat there but chose to go to nearby restaurants that had far superior offerings.
The cafeteria on the ground floor is clean but without atmosphere. I felt like I was in God's waiting room with associated background music to match as I waited my turn to leave this mortal coil.
Finally the roof bar on the 5th floor. What a fantastic view. A lovely place that we found to be the best part of the hotel. Surprisingly not many people ventured up there, but is is a lovely place to be as the sun sets.
A hotel to use as a convenient base, but don't expect comfort or tranquility here.
