Hotel Larios Malaga

I booked a nonrefundable rate reservation for two nights and unfortunately needed to cancel due to a family health emergency. I requested any sort of refund or future credit and the hotel was not willing to accommodate in any way. I understand that I booked a non refundable rate, so this is not a negative review, however others should be mindful that this hotel is strict with their rules and are not willing to make any accommodations while other chains were more flexible with the circumstances I was experiencing. We will not be reserving a future stay with this hotel when we plan to return to the area.

Spent three nights and four days here. April, 2024.

First, the property itself is very nice. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is quite good and reasonably priced.

Now the location, that’s where it loses stars. It’s very loud! Nearly 24 hrs a day loud. Every single night from about 6pm - 5am the surrounding streets, shops, and bars are filled with people and performers. Every single night people were drunk and yelling in the streets after dinner. Music and performers often were going until well after 11pm.

Sleep was difficult. When addressed with the lady at the front desk she acted like she couldn’t understand me which was odd, everyone at the desk understood English perfectly upon checking in, only when there was an issue did a language barrier develop. 🤔

Overall, stay at your own risk if you need rest.
