Excelsior Opera Hotel

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. The rooms were unbearably hot, and when we raised this issue, the staff was unhelpful and even dismissive. Instead of offering solutions, they made inappropriate remarks and did not treat us with the respect every guest deserves.

Even more concerning is that, after our stay, we sent a detailed email to the hotel management to explain our experience and ask for clarification about a charge. To this day, we have received no response at all.

The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who expects basic courtesy, transparency, and genuine customer service.

I would advise against staying at this hotel. The photos online were extremely misleading, the rooms were smaller than expected, barely enough to fit a suitcase, let alone move around comfortably.
When we arrived, the rooms we were given had no air conditioning and this is especially hard to deal with considering how hot that week was. The heat and the tiny, cramped conditions, made for an extremely uncomfortable stay.
Another major issue was the fact that there was ongoing construction going on throughout the hotel during our stay. This was never disclosed at the time of booking. The lobby was reduced to a narrow walkway, and the maintenance workers were constantly in the stairwells and hallways, making the already small, outdated space feel even more crowded and chaotic.
To make matters worse, I left with bite marks all over my legs which I believe to be bed bugs. That reason alone should make anyone avoid this place.
Between the false advertising, suffocating rooms, disruptive construction, and possible bed bug issue, this was a terrible experience. Having to stay at this hotel for the time we were in Paris severely compromised our time in the city. This hotel is not a reflection of the price I paid. Had this been a more affordable hotel these circumstances might have been more understandable but considering the fact that I paid good money for my stay here and this was the experience I had I am extremely disappointed. It would be unjust to not receive some sort of compensation for this. I would strongly advise against booking a stay here, there are far better and more reliable options in Paris for the price.
