Reviews
Rooms are clean and well equiped. The shower is not very comfortable, mostly with the sheet, small or no window, so it is very hot there.
The meal was good, but not relevant for 4-stars. Missing better assortment of fruit and vegetable, practically nothing sweet for lunch (good for your health but somebody could miss it :-) ). You have to pay for many drinks despite having all inclusive. That was surprice.
People in the hotel are lovely!
The rooms were very good size, clean and great facilities. Location of hotel good. Few shops over the road and short bus ride into the city either local bus or hop on hop off.
Restaurant - really good variety, great for the kids too always something to choose from. Only little negative if the restaurant is busy which it became towards end of holiday it became very warm inside, Aircon wasn't great inside the restaurant so would suggest eating outside if possible.
Pool and beach were lovely again very clean, pool was a great size. Never struggled getting a sunbed no matter what time of day.
Overall great stay and would recommend.
Only issue for us (I should of done more research so nothing against the hotel) but not much entertainment for the kids. Only two shows on a week in the evening and only a small pool for kids with a tiny play area, would look for more activities in the day and for us a little splash park would be great.
Would return without kids
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, due to the stunning beachfront location and generally warm staff, and would definitely recommend to others.
Recommendations to be even better:
1) Improve the check-in/reception experience. We arrived very early in the morning and the receptionist did not looked pleased to see us. He then provided us a key to an occupied room before ushering us away! At this point we considered leaving.
We were not provided any welcome information and had to figure out hotel layout, restaurant/pool times, etc, by ourselves. We also had to ask to leave our luggage somewhere and this happened to be an unlocked room, which wasn't great.
2) Renovate the bathrooms to align with bedrooms.
The barkeeper was a entertainment master with a lot of jokes and humor. Definitely worth alone for the experience and drinks.
About the place, I just can say that it’s unbelievably comfortable, beautiful cheerful place, restaurant is in such a high level, staff is so kind and welcoming, food is great, desserts are incredibly tasty!
All inclusive is more than all inclusive, 24/7 delicious food, desserts! You don’t even need to go to restaurants in the city!
Beach is also so clean and good!
Bungalows are so comfortable, clean and had good view!
Its good for family vacations also, because there is also good playing zone for kids!
Trust me this place is more than 10/10 🔥🔥🔥 Absolutely favourite hotel in Crete!
1) Arrived - you will be amazed by the mature garden of date palms swaying in the breeze, flanked by other plants, with nice looking bungalows scattered in their shade. The reception is very nice, clean and the staff are friendly, no complaints.
2) Accommodation - probably the only point where I have to be a bit critical. We arrive at a nice looking bungalow, have paid for a room labeled "superior." I went to the front desk again to ask if I had been given the correct room, was assured that I had. The interior looked pretty much "basic". There was a big hole in the wall next to the air conditioner, which immediately knocked the overall impression. The furniture was older but not broken. One electrical outlet popping out of the wall. It looks horrible and in my opinion not even safe. And it certainly doesn't match the label of "superior." However, the room was clean, it was. We were 2 adults and 2 kids on vacation. However, the one extra bed is really uncomfortable, they will push the bars into your back.
3) Room Service: Complete satisfaction. Housekeeping came every day, room always immaculately cleaned, replenished everything we needed. As a plus, I see that the hotel automatically gives disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste in addition to soaps and towels, so if you want to save space in your luggage, you do not have to deal with this. They are basic toothbrushes though.
4) Garden, beach and pool: very beautiful garden, really fun to look at. For a Central European it is really interesting to see all those Mediterranean and subtropical plants growing beautifully and in their natural habitat. It's worth taking a bungalow overlooking the garden. It's better than a bungalow facing the noisy sea. The beach is sandy, well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds under umbrellas, whatever time of day you come. Sea entrance moderate, waves medium high. The same goes for the saltwater pool, which is just behind the beach. There is a bar by the pool open all "swimming time". Toilets clean, soap always replenished, disinfection also.
5) Food/drink/bar. Breakfast was impeccable, everyone will be thrilled, whatever their eating habits. All meals are replenished all the time, so it doesn't matter when you come for breakfast. Lunches in the same vein. Great food, plenty of everything, tastes delicious. If you don't want to leave the pool you don't have to, lunch is also served at the pool bar and there is nothing to complain about, really great. Dinner is sensational, with themed nights at intervals in addition to the basic wide menu - like Mexican night, Asian night and so on. You'll enjoy. Plenty of everything, everything fresh, desserts delicious. You can fill the time between meals with small treats at the pool bar.
Of the staff providing the food, Mrs Evangelia deserves special praise as she is the epitome of helpfulness, pleasant demeanour and friendly behaviour. She left a great impression on us and really deserves to be singled out! Otherwise, the staff is also decent. Apparently, since most of the guests are German, straight to you the staff speaks German. If you're German, it's probably nice, if not, you soon get the feeling that you should be. 😄 English at least basic you will be understood by everyone though. After German, by the way, French is the most frequently heard among the guests.
Overall, I rate the resort positively. I'm sorry to have to knock off points for the level of accommodation, but I'm just describing the reality. I believe a true "superior" looks better. Other than that, no complaints.
