Civitel Creta Beach Hotel

I would say all in all I do recommend the hotel and I liked our stay. The bungalow was very new and beautiful. Although it could have been cleaner when we arrived and during our stay. We arrived with white socks and they turned brown immediately after we were in the room. So I would say the floor needs a proper cleaning. They also didn’t clean the floor or surfaces during our stay. Most of the service personal was very nice. Although we booked a taxi service with a baby seat via reception and didn’t get a seat so that we had to drive with our little one on our lap. If we would have known that there are no baby seats available we would have taken ours from home. A longer stay in the room on the departure day was not possible although we are civitel members. That was not that bad, although it would be easier for our baby to have a proper day time sleep, the problem was, that the receptionist wasn’t very keen to explain why we couldn’t have the room until our departure time. The behaviour is something that lasts in your mind. We booked all inclusive. The food was good but we expected more Greek food and missed it. If you want a very good coffee you have to pay for it extra. I thing it was 5€. The coffee you get when you book all inclusive is really bad. The beach is nice but with little children you have to be aware as there are many many cigarettes in the sand. The water is beautiful. The area is not spectacular but you are very close to the airport. From time to time you hear and see the airplanes very good. At the evenings and mornings there were many many Moskitos and I was bitten several times. The pool area is nice, but the baby pool is not really the best. The little playground is okay. So liked I say that’s my honest opinion, I can recommend the hotel but next time we would try another one. Thanks for the nice stay.

Lovely villas, quiet and well maintained. Delicious food served in the dining room beside reception. Good selection at breakfasts taffy very friendly and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around pool area.

Were there in June and we liked everything - food, service, rooms and etc. Food was really delicious. Staff members were very kind, generous and friendly. There are several types of restaurants and we liked all of them. Nice activities as well.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for young couples and families as well!

Fantastic hotel, very good food. Bungalows located in a palm garden where it is very peaceful. Everywhere very clean. service at the highest level. My partner got sick and the service was very helpful. We will definitely come back.

I was there in June. It's a great place for your vacation. It has beautiful green territory, tasty food, nice views, big enough private beach. Also, staying in a bungalow is a nice option. But most important - in this hotel they really know how to bring you the best service, the hotel staff is amazing and beyond expectations. Also, it's pretty quiet for a relaxing type of vacation. Only one minus - don't expect high design in a room but still decent renovation.

Stayed at Creta Beach for a week at the beginning of August (Family of 4, two adults and two under 5). Short 20-30 minute transfer from the airport. Arrived late at night and they provided a bag with food for all of us which was great after a day travelling.
The rooms were very good size, clean and great facilities. Location of hotel good. Few shops over the road and short bus ride into the city either local bus or hop on hop off.
Restaurant - really good variety, great for the kids too always something to choose from. Only little negative if the restaurant is busy which it became towards end of holiday it became very warm inside, Aircon wasn't great inside the restaurant so would suggest eating outside if possible.

Pool and beach were lovely again very clean, pool was a great size. Never struggled getting a sunbed no matter what time of day.

Overall great stay and would recommend.
Only issue for us (I should of done more research so nothing against the hotel) but not much entertainment for the kids. Only two shows on a week in the evening and only a small pool for kids with a tiny play area, would look for more activities in the day and for us a little splash park would be great.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, due to the stunning beachfront location and generally warm staff, and would definitely recommend to others.

Recommendations to be even better:

1) Improve the check-in/reception experience. We arrived very early in the morning and the receptionist did not looked pleased to see us. He then provided us a key to an occupied room before ushering us away! At this point we considered leaving.

We were not provided any welcome information and had to figure out hotel layout, restaurant/pool times, etc, by ourselves. We also had to ask to leave our luggage somewhere and this happened to be an unlocked room, which wasn't great.

2) Renovate the bathrooms to align with bedrooms.

Really clean and fantastic bungalow hotel with a typical Greek food restaurant, 25m line pool and own beach area.

The barkeeper was a entertainment master with a lot of jokes and humor. Definitely worth alone for the experience and drinks.
