We spent 10 days at the Peninsula Hotel in early October 2024 as a family with our two sons, aged 10 and 13. The hotel on the cliff offers a breathtaking view of the stunning nearby bays. Access to the rooms is via numerous stairs, but the effort is well worth it!

The beautiful "beach" at the platform is a real highlight. The direct access to the turquoise, crystal-clear water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Moreover, it's very peaceful here, making it an attractive spot for us. At this tranquil place, you can truly relax and take in the spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding rocky bay.

Our spacious family suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms was an ideal retreat.

While not everything was perfect, our requests and concerns were always addressed. The staff was always attentive and worked hard to ensure a pleasant stay.

The culinary offerings were fresh and tasty. Breakfast featured a generous buffet with delicious, fresh bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a variety of smoothies with yogurt and seasonal fruits. Both lunch and dinner offered a good selection of hearty dishes from Greek, home-style cuisine, along with a generous salad and fruit buffet. Unfortunately, the drinks in the all-inclusive package were less impressive.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent value for money – a solid 5 stars from us!

Wonderful Stay with Beautiful Views!

I stayed at this hotel in late September and had a fantastic time. The views are stunning, with the sea visible from everywhere. There are three beaches and three pools, offering plenty of spots to swim. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway in Greece!

We stayed at this beautiful place for a week and a half during our honeymoon. I cannot say better things about the resort & location!! The service was so accommodating and everyone was so kind. They even decorated our room for us before we arrived! We stayed in the Superior Sea View Room with Private Pool. The room was so comfortable and we loved having the private pool, which included the most beautiful view. The resort has so many pools to choose from, all with spectacular views. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better! We loved the choice of different restaurants on site. The entertainment was also quite fun. The location was perfect for exploring nearby areas. We rented a car on site and traveled throughout the island which was very convenient. The surrounding beaches are breathtaking. It was simple traveling back and forth from the airport, the resort organized everything. Again, I cannot recommend this place more. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Peninsula Resort & Spa started off average, but thanks to the exceptional efforts of Sofia, the manager, it turned into an unforgettable experience.

Initially, we encountered a few issues, but Sofia went above and beyond to address every single one. What impressed us most was how she made us feel special and valued, despite the resort hosting hundreds of guests. It's rare to find such personalized attention in a large resort.

The highlights of our stay were truly remarkable. The private beach was a slice of paradise, offering tranquility and stunning views. We were pleasantly surprised by the live saxophone performances in the adult-only bar, which created a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere.

One of our biggest concerns about all-inclusive resorts is usually the food quality, but Peninsula Resort & Spa exceeded our expectations. The buffets were not only delicious but also offered unique and varied options every night, keeping our culinary journey exciting throughout the stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning seaside hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, with breathtaking views of the crystal-clear sea from nearly every vantage point. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony while gazing at the endless horizon was pure bliss.

We had a wonderful time at Peninsula Resort this June! The hotel was stunning and clean. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable! I would definitely love to come back again in the future. Highly recommended! :)

View from room was amazing. And the bonus was you could also see sunrise from room balcony itself. Amazing buffet for lunch and dinner. Staff was very friendly. Bobby and Avatar were really helpful during our stay. We played tennis and spent most of the time around pools (there were 5 pools in the resort)

The hotel is a really great place to stay at. We had an all-inclusive option and were fully satisfied. There are some things to consider though before going for this hotel. Among the advantages are:
- Own platform at the beach from which it is possible to swim in the sea. The sunbeds are free everywhere on the hotel's territory, including the Tsimento platform. We have also tried a public beach which is just by the hotel and is easily accessible. This beach is of course not for free (10 eur for 2 sunbeds with umbrella for a day), however, the hotel is very good at explaining what is included and what is for additional charge. I was also in contact with a very helpful hotel representative before booking and was able to ask all questions in advance.
- The personnel is very helpful and friendly. We got help several times with booking taxi, were allowed to check out a bit later with no additional charge and got the room upgraded for free (from mountain view to sea view).
- Good variety of food and a lot of fresh fruits. Although it might be a good option to add more sea food in general and not only during the sea food evening (once a week). Otherwise, plenty of food during the day, with snacks in between breakfast, lunch and dinner, ice-cream bar and a fridge with fresh fruits available during the day.
- There is a good blend of different types of guests - some younger couples, some older ones, families with kids and ones without. Overall, it felt like this hotel is a great place for everyone and is not too focused only on kids (also works for people who want calmer vacation).
- The hotel is also at a proximity to Heraklion which makes it very easy to visit the city or go to Knossos.
- Elevators - the territory of the hotel is not small, however, there are 2 elevators available. Yes, they are small and sometimes you have to wait. But they are in place and the walking is not too extensive. The hotel is built so that you can hide from the heat on the most paths up and down. And it is really good to have some movement after eating maybe a bit too much of delicious food.

There are also some things which could be improved:
- Be prepared to "book" sunbeds early in the morning (place towels, books, etc). Otherwise, you might risk not getting any.
- Communication of the daily events and activities is not the best. There is a weekly schedule of events. One of them was, for example, an afternoon with live music and pizza at the bar. In fact, there was no pizza (they forgot to update the schedule from 2 weeks before) and live music was not that long as was promissed.
- Animation and most of the announcements during the day are done in French (!). This also includes mostly French music. Half of the guests seem to enjoy, we did not understand a thing. It seems like the hotel is overall more oriented at French tourists and all others are a bit forgotten.
- Smoking is everywhere, there are no non-smoking areas - even where the children are close by.

All-in-all, we had a wonderful vacation staying at Peninsula Resort & Spa and would like to stay there again some day.

We, me and my family , spent 10 days at this beautiful resort. The service was great, and the host and personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every moment, and every day was filled with activities. The resort and its immediate surroundings offer a wide variety of activities for all ages.
The weather was wonderful and the food and the meals UNSURPASSABLE!

I stayed at this resort in Agias Palagio for two nights with my family—an amazing place to simply relax. The reservation included full board, meaning you can sit back and enjoy your meals at scheduled times.

The resort is within walking distance of three beaches and offers numerous facilities and activities for families. There are three pools on-site, and personally, I loved the saltwater pool with its stunning ocean view from the cliff.

The rooms are spacious, and my balcony faced the ocean, offering a beautiful sunrise view every morning.

Considering the price I paid, this resort is excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they even served refreshments and evening drinks with live music alongside breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I’ll definitely return for my next vacation in Crete!
