Reviews
Room was clean, A/C worked well, water was provided. Food in the buffet was varied and mostly good. Parking was a challenge for a first day. One of the beaches is not owned by hotel, so they require payment, a bummer!
A special mention must go to the restaurant and its exceptional staff, which truly exceeded our expectations. The food quality was outstanding, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to every palate. Each meal felt thoughtfully prepared, fresh and flavourful. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, there was always something new and delicious to look forward to. The restaurant was always clean and the staff were warm, attentive and genuinely eager to make our stay memorable. A special shout out to Despoina, Nikola, Omkar and Sam — thank you for your warmth and hospitality! Omkar and Sam, you really made us feel right at home — thank you very much! :)
What really set this resort apart for us was the exceptional service. Every interaction — from check-in, housekeeping to dining — was handled with a smile and a level of professionalism that made us feel truly cared for. A special thank you to Aman at the reception! :)
Great cocktails and view at the lobby bar. We loved Tsimento beach (part of the property) and the other public beaches around the resort. Walking distance from the Agia Pelagia village, which is another plus. Excellent location - sea view all around. Our room was very spacious (with a big balcony) and overlooked the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mononaftis beach. We were even gifted massage and sauna sessions at the spa, coupons for signature cocktails and a lovely dinner at the à la carte restaurant - which was very kind of the staff!
We now leave feeling relaxed, well-fed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!
- location of hotel is extremely beautiful (sea on 3 sides out of 4)
- lobby bar (great paid cocktails)
bad:
- awful food, practically nothing to eat, all food is "old", overcooked (just black meat) and not yammy at all. The worst food from all the hotels I've been
- dirty toitets everywhere
- in order to visit all the beaches you have to walk and walk and walk, e.g. no elevator for Tsimento beach
- no toilet on the beach (again you have to walk via stairs a lot in order to get to the toilet)
- "stone" pillows impossible to sleep
- you cannot visit one of the hotel beaches for fee, you have to buy smth at the bar
- walls are made of very cheap materials, as result you hear literally everything
summary: the worst hotel I've ever been (especially regarding food)
Positives:
• The food was always fresh, tasty, and varied every day.
• The staff are very friendly and helpful.
• The beach bar makes really good cocktails, and we even received a coupon for 4 free cocktails.
• The location is beautiful, with lovely views.
• The hotel has two swimming pools for adults and 2–3 direct accesses to the beach, which is very convenient.
Negatives:
• Our room door didn’t close properly as it was hanging.
• There were no basic amenities in the room such as shampoo, toothpaste, slippers, or hair conditioner. For a 4-star hotel in this price range, we expected these to be provided.
• The fitness room is very small, only allows 2 people at a time, and you have to book in advance. Unfortunately, we were not informed about this beforehand.
• The hotel seems to be mostly tailored for French-speaking guests. Almost all activities and entertainment were in French, which was disappointing, as there were also many non-French-speaking tourists.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the food, location, and friendly staff, but we believe the hotel could improve by providing more international-oriented activities and better in room amenities
Staff were great, very helpful and our room was very clean and comfortable.
Overall a great value resort.
However on arrival this wasn't done and the staff member at reception was very passive aggressive saying what we had booked was a bungalow with 2 beds in each. After insisting that we had confirmation of our room set up she eventually phoned someone and said it could be arranged but we had to wait 2 hours.
We found the bungalow to be disappointing. The entrance door opens onto the first room with twin beds but there is no natural light at all. The bathroom is off this first room and there is just the door to the second bedroom separating them with a back door at the back of the 2nd room opening onto a patio. This was not ideal for us as it meant we had to keep our door closed so we had privacy but meant my father in law was without any light apart from the dingy ceiling light so he felt like he was in a prison.
I think these family rooms are really only suitable for children.
Several things were missing from one room and the telephone didn't work so we had to keep traipsing to reception to get things fixed, which they did promptly. But despite reporting the phone twice it was never resolved.
The food choice and quality at the all inclusive was excellent, the vegetarian choice was good but we found many foods not labelled (apart from allergens) so sometimes it was hard to determine if it contained meat or not. The all inclusive drinks were ok but alot of them tasted watered down.
The pool areas are small and there were not enough sunbeds and often 'reserved' by selfish people who think it's ok to do this and not turn up for hours despite a sign saying it was forbidden. The hotel were not interested in enforcing this and we witnessed several rows between guests over sunbeds. The salt water pool area was completely unstaffed, the bar was closed and there was only a self serve machine so it lacked atmosphere. So we ended up spendng most of our time at the nearby psaromoura beach which is very pebbly but not packed but had to pay 25 euros for a brolly and 2 sunbeds.
The kids pool is not in the main complex but up the road by the spa. It was small and out of the way, I think this hotel is really more for adults.
We also found the Tsimiento platform by the sea had to be closed for 5-6 days because it was windy and too dangerous to use so again limiting where you could go.
Neither A la Carte restaurant was open which surprised me being July & the entertainment was lacking or repetitive. The staff in the dining areas were efficient and some friendly but others not so. One member of the kitchen staff told my daughter off for only wearing a bikini top with her shorts. This really upset her and considering many other people were even less dressed and there was no dress policy, I think it was out of order.
So whilst things were done efficiently, the food was good and the views great, the hotel lacked warmth and atmosphere.
However, once we entered the room, the experience went downhill. The towels were old, heavily worn, stained, and grey instead of white — a very unpleasant first impression. There were no mosquito nets, even though there were quite a lot of mosquitoes, so we had to buy our own repellents.
While the room was clean, the hotel itself is clearly old and in need of renovation. In the bathroom, the sink and tiles were chipped, and the door was damaged.
The biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We had the all-inclusive package, but the quality was very poor. Meals lacked variety, and even the fruits were often bruised or close to spoiled. The plates and glasses weren’t always properly cleaned — we found dried food on dishes and pulp from someone else's orange juice still stuck in some glasses. Although there were plenty of salads and vegetables, the main dishes were limited and repeated from one day to another. After two or three days, we gave up eating at the hotel altogether and chose to dine in local tavernas instead.
That being said, I have to mention some positives: housekeeping was done daily, the pools were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff was always friendly and helpful, which made a difference in the overall experience.
In the end, the location is beautiful and the views are truly impressive, but the hotel needs serious improvements in terms of maintenance and food quality to match the expectations set by its online ratings.
Food was very good although main coffee machine awful ask for the bean coffee behind the counter.
It was quite on arrival which was nice but not enough seats or sunbeds when it got busier.
Staff very friendly and work very hard.
The hotel is located in a peaceful, secluded area, which makes it perfect for relaxation. There are three different beaches, each unique and stunning in its own way. The rooms are spotless, well-maintained, and cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided. You can truly feel that the hotel is run with love—there are flowers everywhere, drinks available every few meters, and every little detail is carefully thought out.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. I usually never visit the same place twice, but for Peninsula, I will happily make an exception. I can’t wait to come back!
