Cozy hotel located on a hill, offering spectacular views of the Bay. It is conditionally possible to name the area of the main building as active. Zone separate systems (Annex) ideal for lovers of peace and tranquility and those who prefer to combine more economical accommodation with all hotel infrastructure. Guests with disabilities and families with young children road to the beach may seem tedious. The hotel provides free transport to the beach. Sports animation during the day and evening shows.

Location: 25 km from Heraklion airport, 2 km from the fishing village of Agia Pelagia. Bus stop at the entrance to the hotel (bus goes two to four times per day).

Evening entertainment: Agia Pelagia (2 km), Heraklion (25 km).

The hotel is in a cascade on a hill and consists of a 2-storey main building and a separate Annex of the complexes. Annex – Athina is located 150 m from the main building, apart from the main area, separated from the main building, with road, 300 m from the beach. The complex has a pool, small Playground, and a snack bar. Annex – the Artemis complex is located 50 m from the main building and separated from it by a road. The territory has a pool and a small Playground. Annex – complex Ikarus & Dedalus is adjacent to the main building (walking the stairs), and guests use the swimming pool located at the main building.

The hotel has 200 rooms (all with sea views).

Total area: 14 000 m2.

Beach: public sandy-pebble beach 200 meters from the hotel, 2 line. Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses – for a fee. Towels are not. There is a service to beach (4 times daily).

A cozy, well-appointed hotel. There are fruit trees, lots of flowers and flowering bushes growing on the hotel grounds. Many rooms offer a beautiful view of the sea. The descent to the sea is very comfortable. The public pebble beach. There weren't always enough sun loungers. It's better to arrive early. The food at the hotel is varied. The staff's work deserves praise. The employees are responsive and friendly. Our requests were satisfied very quickly. We leave the hotel with kind and warm feelings of gratitude for a wonderful vacation.

Such a lovely stay! The staff were always professional and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a larger room on the top floor, which made our stay even more comfortable. The room, the restaurant, the whole resort - everything was spotlessly clean! The air conditioning worked flawlessly. The location is quiet, and even with a pool-view room, we heard no noise at all.

The food is a real highlight! The meals were delicious and varied, and the drinks included in the all-inclusive were great too.
We really appreciated that we could use the resort’s facilities even after check-out.We were also given lunch and dinner vouchers while waiting for our evening airport transfer.

The only minor downsides were that the luggage room wasn't locked (anyone could walk in) and the safe in the room comes with an extra fee. In the bathroom was no shower curtain, so the floor got wet after every shower. A smart TV and a better hairdryer would have been a nice touch, but not a big deal.
Also the beach is nearby, but it’s down a steep hill, so getting back up might not be ideal for everyone.

Overall, an outstanding experience and highly recommended!

Service - 2/10 Rude staff, look down on their customers a lot.

Location - 1/10 Very difficult to get anywhere, walks are vertical hills. 50 euros to the city one way.

All Inclusive - 4/10 Food was decent, drinks were awful. Cheap cola, cheap beer, no spirits, only ouzo cocktails.

Wouldn't stay here again.

Big choice of wines and other drinks. I was missing only freshly squeezed orange juice, but it wasn’t something that I would cry about.

-Our friends in the beginning were not happy with their room but after conversation with receptionist we all received proposition of upgrade from 2 rooms to 1 room with jacuzzi - amazing !
The only small thing I would change was the “disco light” in jacuzzi - too strong and too flashy.

Beautiful modern hotel. The hotel rooms are basic, but clean. They have a mini fridge in with bottles of water, a hair dryer, shower etc. I personally don’t believe you need anything else, as you go on holiday you don’t go to stay in the room.
The location is each to their own, we didn’t mind it. There’s a beach down the slope of the hotel, there’s restaurants there, very cheap and very friendly with beautiful food. A few shops, and water sports. Cannot complain.
The food in the hotel is very nice, they do change it everyday, there’s always pasta on everyday, for fussy eaters. But they do gyros wraps, pastas, loads of veg, salads, different types of meat. Honestly something for everyone. Cannot complain.
The only down side is that on the all inclusive they only serve raki and ouzo which by end of the stay we quite enjoyed but at the start it was a hard drink.
Overall lovely stay.

We recently stayed at Blue Bay Resort in Crete and overall, it met most of our expectations. We really enjoyed our time there and would happily recommend it, with a couple of caveats.

The location is peaceful and scenic, but it is quite isolated. Without a rental car, getting around the island would have been a challenge, so definitely plan for that. Also, the food at the hotel restaurants was a bit hit or miss, some days we enjoyed lovely traditional hot dishes, and other times the food was only lukewarm and less impressive.

That said, our room was spacious and comfortable, with a pool just steps away that was rarely used by others, felt like our own private retreat. One of the highlights was how close we were to Sunset Cliff, only a 15-minute walk away. It's a perfect spot for a short hike and to take in the beautiful views.

The staff were a real standout, super friendly and always helpful, they really contributed to making our stay enjoyable.

Had a fantastic holiday at Blue Bay Resort! Everywhere is extremely clean and well looked after. The staff are all friendly and very helpful! The food was the best I have had at an All Inclusive hotel - loads of choice at every meal and really good quality! We very rarely return to the same hotel for another holiday as usually prefer to try somewhere new but I think we will make an exception with this one. Would love to come back here as there is everything you need for a brilliant holiday! Nearest beach is only about 10 minutes walk - down quite a steep hill but as it’s not far it’s not an issue! Couple of shops and cafe bars at the beach that are really nice! Definitely recommend the Blue Bay for a lovely relaxing break 👍🏼

We had a room in the annex - nice Seaview and the room was dated but clean. Reception area looked after well and nicely decorated, and the grounds round here are well kept. Unfortunately this is where the positives finish. The pool is dirty with mould on the edges, and the slides are so worn the paint is coming away. Pool towels are not included - these should be included at 4 star level. There are 2 lots of music playing at the same time at the pool, and the staff are disinterested. There is minimal snacks, some of the pizza slices were sat around for 5 hours. The floor area is dirty and unkept, and any snacks or drinks had to be shared with the resident cats. No problem normally but these cats are quite feral and jump up at you whenever you have food, including in the main restaurant. The staff don't seem to care and paid no attention to one lady who lost her dinner to a cat who jumped up and knocked it off. This resort I feel is 2 stars, 3 at best. I personally don't recommend this resort or the area which in October appeared run down, mostly closed and without many people or atmosphere.

Me and my partner stayed here around a week ago. We arrived late at night and were greeted by smiling faces, they gave us a packed lunch and then were escorted by vehicle to the annex building with our luggage.

Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean and tidy. Outside our room we had a garden patio which was beautifully kept. There was also water in the fridge and a refill point just outside of our room.

The view from the hotel was out of this world, beautiful bays and beaches just a walk away. Friendly villages also. We took the bus to heraklion three times in our stay.

The food was amazing, there was something different every night and the staff were all really smiley and helpful.

From start to finish our holiday was enjoyable. Thank you to the Blue Bay Resort hotel for the lovely facilities, friendly staff, incredible views and for our amazing memories.

Nothing around for young couples
You can not come here with a wheel chair. The amount of steps you have to climb back upto our room from the pool is madness. The walk to the sea is alright but walking back is unbearable in the heat. There is a little van that takes you and picks you up but at set times.The views looking out to sea are amazing.All staff very friendly and are happy to help wherever.
Definitely for those who want to stay in the resort. Taxi to heraklion center is 45 euro there and 45 back
