GDM Megaron, Historical Monument Hotel

The Megaron was absolutely wonderful. From the spaces where you can sit and relax (the "living room" or the sundeck) to our room, everything was clean and beautiful. The staff was always welcoming and helpful. Jasmine and Mary at reception were unbelievably friendly, answered all of our questions and helped us to get reservations for restaurants we were interested in. Our room was beautiful with two little balconies, comfortable beds, and a soaking tub. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had with so many options, both traditional and non. Irene who works the breakfast there was always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The hotel is close to the port and only a five minute walk to city center. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Crete.

My wife and I traveled around Crete for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It’s cozy, historic and luxurious. Their breakfast was also possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had anywhere.

Room was large and clean, with a beautiful view of the port. The hotel is well-maintained and has an interesting history. Staff was very helpful in learning about local attractions and how to get there.

Our stay at the Megaron Hotel in Heraklion was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine eagerness to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is perfect, offering stunning views of the harbor and easy access to the city’s attractions.

The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, providing a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. We especially loved the attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always with a smile and a willingness to assist.

One of the highlights was the breakfast which was a truly delightful experience with a wide variety of delicious options to start our day. We also enjoyed dining at the hotel’s restaurant, where the food was outstanding.

The rooftop pool was another fantastic feature, offering a serene escape with breathtaking views over the city and the sea.

The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding service, prime location and excellent food made it the perfect choice for our visit to Heraklion. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

Centered in old town Athens, this is a stunning hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the view from the rooftop bar were fabulous. The outdoor coffee shop and bar are a great place to sit and have a coffee, drink and people watch. Just minutes away from walking to the Plaka for shopping and from the changing of the guard in front of the parliament. The staff was most helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The reviews are correct. This hotel is the best hotel in Crete. Hands down, the hotel is the most stunning hotel with beautiful interior and gorgeous rooms. The breakfast is amazingly delicious as well. Most of all, the service is top notch. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would come back.

This is an old classic style hotel with spacious rooms with awesome views of the port and the sea. The breakfast buffet was elaborate and delicious. This hotel has a fantastic location with the centre of the old town, and its cobbled streets, local restaurants and souvenir shops, all within a short walking distance. A great hotel to stay in!
