Great price, great location, great staff… There is also a restaurant downstairs but I only ate there once. It was really good though and reasonably priced. Though I did see ashtrays in hallways, I did not smell any smoke at all. With the exception of some loud talking from the people across the hall a few times, the place was very quiet. There was a heavy plastic “shade” door(which made the room pitch back in the middle of the day) and a heavy interior sliding glass door that drowned out most of the street noise. The parking situation is pretty bad. It’s in a neighborhood that is all street parking. It’s free and has very few no parking areas which is great but it can be difficult to find spaces. I did not deduct any stars because this is hardly the hotels fault. Just something to keep in mind if you intend to rent a car as I did. To be honest, unless you’re making a day trip at some point, you probably don’t need a car. Everything’s pretty close. I intend to visit again someday and I will absolutely look here first.

We were very disappointed with our room for the 3 day stay! AC didn't work, the very small bathroom fan didn't work, the vent pipe was broke in bathroom causing the whole small room to smell like sewer. We had to open our Slider to air out everything when we came back to the room. The room and the small balcony were in need of many repairs. Just was not a good start to our first Athens vacation. Remember, you get what you paid for!

Bad things:
The top sheets on the beds need renewing (there was a lot of old stains and it looked a bit shabby). As well as the shower curtain. We ended up not even using it because the bath/shower is very small and there is a drain in the middle of the bathroom. It said on booking.com that the rooms were renovated. I don't think so. Only the restaurant downstairs looks new, so don't be fooled by the pictures on booking.com. But all in all it still was quite comfortable.
Also, be aware that your room will stink of cigarette smoke, as smoking is allowed in the rooms (luckily not in the restaurant/lobby). It took us some time to air out the room and aircon which reeked of smoke.

The restaurant within the hotel was nice.
The breakfast buffet was warm and fresh. Coffee and juice from the machines. All in all quite nice.
The beds were comfortable. The air con was okay.
Fresh towels were given, beds made and bins changed every day, if you're out of the room.
The location is only 15 to 20 minutes from a beach (Edem) by tram/bus and only 20 to 30 minutes into the centre by tram/bus/metro.
There is a lovely square (Nea Smyrni Square) with playground for kids and many cafés/restaurants and a tram station, only 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel (it's like a city centre, it has many different shops and a supermarket as well).

It's worth the money you pay. The hotel is dated and there are deficiencies all around. In one room the fridge did not work and in another the safe didn't work. The street facing rooms can be noisy-- especially if you keep the balcony door open, but there is an A/C unit in the room. Floor surfaces need replacement in and outside the rooms. The rooms are clean and with adequate linens. Friendly service and good breakfast.

Very good hotel, comfortable and convenient in location, next to the sea. Everything you need is nearby, a supermarket, many shops, banks and a hospital. Very nice and friendly staff) Thank you for a wonderful stay)

Me and my Mrs recently stayed at Hellinis. We have to say the staff were very hospitable and welcoming. The room we were given was very spacious and clean (and we were given a room with a balcony) and it was not far from the main City centre. The bathroom was standard (nothing special) and the room service was very prompt ( every day new towels, new bedding and would clean toilets and room itself)
Having saying the above, I would recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a short stay and want to be close to the city Center (Acropolis etc)

The hotel is good for short stays, business trips. and business travel. It is extremely inconvenient for a long stay. There is no kettle or cups in the room, but there is a refrigerator. The bathroom was very old, the toilet was leaking, under the bathroom it was always wet, and it smelled unpleasant. But they changed the Towels every day and washed the floors. Not all rooms have balconies, we got no balcony! The room is dark and there is nowhere to dry the washed things! There is a very noisy highway nearby, just unbearably noisy! But the staff is great, they will always help, prompt, very nice and friendly people! A huge thanks to them for this!

Very close to the city center and Acropolis. Next to the bus stop. However a bit noisy at night as situated on a busy road. Great dinner menue and very friendley staff.
