Herodion Hotel

The room is relatively small, and the hotel elevator is hard to describe. The hotel staff is quite enthusiastic, the breakfast is good, the location is very good, it is very close to the Acropolis and the museum, and it is also in a relatively safe area in the city center. It is not noisy at night, and you can see the Acropolis from the top floor of the hotel

This is the most hospitable hotel I've stayed at in Europe, leaving a perfect impression for my husband and me on our first visit to Athens. The hotel terrace offers a stunning night view of the Acropolis (there's even a hot tub, though we couldn't try it this time as we didn't bring swimwear). The location is safe and conveniently close to tourist attractions and shopping streets.

Additionally, the airport transfer service provided by the hotel was excellent, with a great driver and high-quality vehicle, making us feel truly cared for.

If we ever return to Athens, we would definitely book this hotel again.

This hotel was absolutely amazing - from the staff to the location, it was a perfect stay. It is right in the heart of Athens and walking distance to most attractions. The staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for local Greek food and bars to visit. The restaurant at the hotel also had a great selection of traditional Greek food that was delicious.

Truly in the heart of Athens, just blocks from the Acropolis. Our room was spacious considering the size of the hotel, and the service has been outstanding! We arrived well before check in and the hotel staff did what they could to get us in early (our flight landed nearly an hour ahead of schedule). From that point on, the front desk staff attended to all of our needs. This excellent level of service is especially meaningful, as we are on the first leg of our honeymoon. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, quality and service, hope to stay here again on our next visit to Athens!

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying The Herodion Hotel on our recent trip to Athens. We had never been to the city before and were spending a short time there before departing for a cruise. Our decision to stay here was based on reviews online and we could not be more impressed. My husband and could not stop singing the Herodions praises, I lost count of how many times he would just sit back and say what a great choice the hotel had been and how much he enjoyed everything about it.
The location could not have been better. A short walk from the Acropolis, located in a quiet area of a vast city just bordering the historic Plaka neighborhood. Metro was located nearby making access to other districts simple.
The hotels rooms were absolutely pristine, with a wonderful shower and comfortable bed. We had the pleasure of booking a room with a view of the Acropolis and enjoyed morning coffees on our balcony. We used the hotels service to book transportation from airport to hotel and arrived before check in but they staff was wonderful. From the moment we arrived and had a member of staff rush down to the street to help with our luggage, to the front desk securing our bags while we took lunch and explored the area prior to check in.
We were told we could also utilize the hot tubs (which have fantastic views as well) even before our room was ready if we liked.
We had lunch in the conservatory room which was delicious and dinner at the rooftop restaurant which was probably the most delicious food I had on my vacation.
When we left the hotel we were able to once again enjoy the ease of having the welcoming staff arrange our transport to the Port.
We can not recommend this Hotel more, from cleanliness to hospitality there was no fault to be seen and we plan to stay here on any future stays as well as recommend it to family and friends.

Hotel is in a great location convenient for the Acropolis site and Acropolis museum, but in a relatively quiet location. Many good bars and restaurants close by. Rooms are comfortable with a high standard of housekeeping. Great lounge/bar area on the ground floor and fabulous roof terrace bar and restaurant with great views of the Acropolis. Service was friendly and extremely helpful.

Excellent in every way!
The location is perfect - right next to the Acropolis Museum, 7mins from a subway, close to many great restaurants but still down a peaceful street not crowded with tour groups (though the busses do pass by).
The breakfast is hearty and flavourful. It fueled us till well into the afternoon.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
And the rooftop restaurant has a view that few can match. If you want to have a relaxed yet romantic dinner this would be a great option. (but book in advance unless you just want a drink)
The jacuzzi on the 4th floor was a treat after a long day of walking.

It's worth noting that the cheaper rooms only have a window into the courtyard, so upgrade if you want the balcony looking onto the Acropolis. That said, the room was still very comfy with enough space for our two large suitcases - and there are places to get the view as mentioned above.

I'll happily book here again on the next trip.

Good location, easy to access attractions , rooftop bar and whirlpool has best views

The hotel staff have been wonderful the entire stay. Every staff member is warm and exceptionally friendly. No task is too difficult and every request is met with a smile. The hotel restaurant on the roof top has phenomenal views of the Acropolis, with a spacious rooftop bar and restaurant. Our party of 4 enjoyed gourmet food, with each dish looking more like art than the last. The rooms are stylish and well maintained. We would highly recommend the Herodion hotel, we could not fault it. Overall, an exceptional experience.

Location is perfect - walkable to everything but street is not a sea of tourists. The view of the acropolis is stunning from the jacuzzi’s and the rooftop restaurant. We arrived late on a Friday and they were able to get us a table for 2. Dinner, drinks & service at the rooftop restaurant were top notch.
After checkout they stored our bags for us, gratis, and we explored the city a bit more before catching our cruise in the afternoon.
10/10 will be back again!
