Novotel

A beautiful hotel a little tiny bit off the beaten path, but close enough to walk everywhere. And the views were spectacular. Make sure you spend time on the roof deck. It is gorgeous and the pool was just what I needed after a long day of traveling.

We had a great stay here. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is clean, modern, with a great rooftop restaurant and pool with great views of the Acropolis, especially when lit up at night.
The buffet breakfast is good value with a great selection to choose from, although I found the hot food cold, I still ate it as I'm not fussy but the wife didn't.
The room service food was awesome and big portions.
The fridge in our room stopped working and they fixed it straight away 👍.
The surrounding area was a bit rough compared to what I would normally book but it was convenient for the metro lines (10-minute walk). There's a nice Cafe next door if you fancy a change for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and also a good freshly made pizza takeaway shop across the road.
I would recommend this hotel 🏨 if you don't mind the surrounding area. Although I found the whole of Athens apart from the obvious tourist attractions to be rough with run-down buildings and graffiti everywhere.

Good room, good access to city

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Novotel Athens, and I must say it was a wonderful experience overall. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and offers excellent facilities that truly enhance your stay. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a sleek, professional atmosphere that sets the tone for a relaxing visit.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was absolutely fantastic – a wide variety of options to cater to every taste, including fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and even some local Greek specialties. The quality and freshness of the food were top-notch, and the attentive staff made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.

The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I found everything I needed – from a cozy bed to a clean, spacious bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The rooftop pool and bar area were also a lovely touch, offering beautiful views of the city and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring.

The only minor downside was the location. While the hotel is not far from the main central areas, it is a bit of a walk or a short taxi ride away from the main attractions like Plaka, Monastiraki, and the Acropolis. However, if you're okay with a little commute, the overall experience at Novotel Athens more than makes up for it.

Highly recommended for families, couples, or business travelers looking for comfort and quality.

Good hotel, no air conditioning in the rooms and very hot, the location is not pleasant, not recommended for walking here. The center is close but you need a taxi.

Perfect hotel for a business trip. Maintains all the typical western style hotel standards. Breakfast had tons of options. The staff was outstanding! Any requests we had they made it happen. Bit of a rough neighborhood but there is free parking if you have a rental car.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We had the most beautiful view of the Acropolis from our room and enjoyed complimentary access to the mini bar in our room. Our housekeepers, Carina (I believe that's how it's spelled) and Eleni were phenomenal and very kind! Anastasia was wonderful as well! Basilis at the bar made me the best cocktail and was great to conversate with! He was very funny and attentive any time we stopped by, as well as Nykos! Cannot recommend this hotel enough! 🫶🏻
