Novotel Athens

Perfect hotel for a business trip. Maintains all the typical western style hotel standards. Breakfast had tons of options. The staff was outstanding! Any requests we had they made it happen. Bit of a rough neighborhood but there is free parking if you have a rental car.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We had the most beautiful view of the Acropolis from our room and enjoyed complimentary access to the mini bar in our room. Our housekeepers, Carina (I believe that's how it's spelled) and Eleni were phenomenal and very kind! Anastasia was wonderful as well! Basilis at the bar made me the best cocktail and was great to conversate with! He was very funny and attentive any time we stopped by, as well as Nykos! Cannot recommend this hotel enough! 🫶🏻

Went for a conference, place was roomy and well organized, although a bit chilly. Food was also more than decent. Overall quiet and in a central location.

overall, it was a mixed experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service from the staff was excellent. However, the breakfast was a major letdown. The food was not tasty at all, and unfortunately, I even got sick after eating it. Honestly, I would have preferred to skip breakfast altogether. While the hotel is a bit far from the main attractions, the quality of the room and service made the stay pleasant. If you’re not too concerned about breakfast, it’s a solid option.

I had a good stay in this hotel, also because I got upgraded to a suite. This room was slightly outdated, but spacious, clean and the bed was good. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a great choice of products. The view from the rooftop pool and terrace is beautiful, with the Acropolis in the distance. The hotel staff is efficient but not overly friendly. The area around the hotel is somewhat sketchy, so we took taxis to move around (which are rather cheap).

Very accommodating staff. They tried their best to help you with anything you needed assistance with. Friendly cleaning staff as well. Lovely rooftop bar situated next to the pool on the seventh floor. Plus, the hotel is only a five minute walk away from the metro. As well as the suburban train to the airport. I stayed here two days before my mediterranean cruise. If you arrange a cab with the front desk to the port, it usually is about twenty-five euros. I return back to the hotel after my cruise . For one night and took the train back to the airport from the hotel very conveniently.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Athens and had a comfortable and practical experience. The hotel is well-suited for business travelers, providing all the essential amenities needed for a smooth stay, it is also well suited for the leisure guest too. The staff were exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to ensure that all my needs were met, which made my visit even more enjoyable.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop pool. Although it is on the smaller side, it has a great vibe and a wonderful atmosphere during the day. It's a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city or attending business meetings.

The hotel's location is relatively convenient, with many of Athens' attractions within a maximum of a 10-minute drive/metro train ride away. This makes it easy to visit popular sites without spending too much time commuting.

However, the area surrounding the hotel is not particularly nice. While we didn't encounter any issues during our stay, the general neighborhood feels a bit rundown, which could be off-putting for some guests.

Overall, despite the less appealing surroundings, the comfort, practicality, and outstanding service at Novotel Athens make it a worthwhile choice. I would definitely stay there again.

Spent 3 days at the hotel after two weeks in Cyclades. Everything was great. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Due to the heatwave, we spent all our time in the hotel and enjoyed our time in the rooftop terrace and pool. A great place to prepare for the journey home.
We will definitely be back!

I was a bit worried when we booked the hotel as I saw the reviews however I must say that I shouldn't have been. We stayed for 7 nights in executive family room. The room was clean, spacious and equipped with drinks, robes and Slippers. We asked to have a balcony and it was swiftly done. The breakfast was great, variety of food everyday, lots of fruit as well, every day different. The service at this hotel was exceptional, they tried to make your stay very pleasant. The pool was nice and clean. We did spent every afternoon there after morning ventures. There was always sun lounger awaiting.Rooftop view of acropolis and the city was amazing.The local area was a bit rough but the metro 6-9 min walk (Larissa station) and railway station , was a great one to go to, we avoided Omonia as it was exceptionally rough. At night it was quiet except for traffic noise which is unavoidable in the city. There was a pharmacy opposite hotel which is handy and great local place to eat called ' on the road'. We would definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for having us!
