We had a good stay at Alexis hotel and the price was reasonable. We had issues with the room service website though. There is no mention of the kitchen's opening hours, which led to an hour long wait since the kitchen wasn't opened when we placed the order. Another time, the order notification did not go through so we had to go to the restaurant to complain. I would have cancelled both times and ordered from an outside business but payment takes place at the time you place the order. Moreover, there is no sound insulation, which can be an issue if there are a lot of families staying at the same time. The staff was really nice and helpful.

I recently stayed at Alexis Hotel in Chania, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is located in a quiet area a bit outside the city center, which offers some nice views, especially if you’re looking for a more peaceful stay away from the busy streets. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though fairly basic in terms of amenities.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was decent, offering a selection of local dishes. The pool area was nice, although not very large, but it was a good spot to relax after a day of sightseeing.
While it didn’t blow me away, Alexis Hotel is a solid option if you’re looking for a quiet and affordable place to stay in Chania.

We had a great time at the Alexis hotel! The staff has been very welcoming and nice, always available for advice. They take good care of their customers.
The place is located in a quiet place, on the hill with view on the moutains, see and sunset! 5 minutes walk from bus stations. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere near the swimming pool and it's diversified and high quality meals. We highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing time in Alexis Hotel. Wonderful, friendly staff and outstanding views. Nice breakfast and Maria in the bf room was a delight. It's a little walk to town but is nice and quiet and safe. Busses are regular and cheap. All in all a wonderful stay in beautiful Chania . Hope to be back sometime. Thank you to all the staff .

It was a lovely stay at Hotel Alexis. The restaurant was amazing and delicious. All staff are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would 100% come back! Crete is beautiful and so much to see! Location is perfect too!

10.08.24. Excellent staff and facilities especially at breakfast. The gentleman on reception was so helpful with local knowledge and places to visit. So thanks to him.
The restaurant is lovely and serve a great choice of good quality food with very generous portions. More like four star food!
Room has everything that you would want.
Only downside is, I've been here four nights now and there is no filter for noise after certain times. We have a room close to reception and the noise from kids there, up to 2am screaming, shouting running around and slamming doors is very disturbing when you have to get up early.
We travel a lot and most places we have stayed in have a policy for quieter times from 11pm. NOT here and I'm so tired from lack of sleep.
The hill up to the hotel is steep but you get used to that after a few trips out.

Reviews are there for places to take constructive criticism and use it to improve not to take it personally as it was the staff children making the noise and not the guests. I would recommend writing your review when you get home so it does not ruin your stay, if you have any problems. I went to reception numerous times when it was noisy to please ask to be a little quieter but there was no-one there.
We only chose family run hotels as we like the personal touch but this is not how you treat paying customers, by taking truthful feedback personally, such a shame as I would have returned for the food

We stayed in room 202 for a 7 nights stay Including breakfast with a side view of the sea. Very comfortable bed and selection of pillows. Staff were wonderful and always welcomed you with a smile. It definitely is not a 2 star hotel,in my opinion it deserves much higher rating. We had a fabulous holidays thanks to the team that made it happen. We ate in the restaurant and I must say that the food was excellent.

The good: easy check in. Great view from balcony room. Nice bathroom. Close to Chania town. Decent restaurant. Good value.
The not so great: beds a little firm, noisy, cleaning not thorough or consistent day to day. Parking was challenging. Hot tub was cold, not hot at all.

Thank you team Alexis Hotel! We had a lovely stay here - Frode was exceptionally helpful on reception and booked us a few excursions. Well worth booking through the hotel as they organise pick-up etc with ease. - Frode was also extremely caring when I had spent too much time in the sun and became unwell (this was my own doing!)
It's a good walk from the main attractions but if you don't mind walking then this won't be a problem, it certainly wasn't for us and came as a pro as there was no noise pollution during the night.
My only suggestion is during hotter days, avoid walking to and from Nea Chora or Chania Old Town after 1pm and before 5pm - taxis are not expensive if you find yourself out for longer than expected. There are also busses however we did not use these so cannot comment on how frequent they are.
The rooms are extremely clean and housekeeping came daily. The shower pressure is perfect and it is clear there has been recent updates and improvements. The mattresses lean on the harder side which is definitely a preference for many! The Aircon is fantastic and has been a saviour during this particularly hot May.
We only visited the restaurant once for a small "meze" but the staff were all friendly and accommodating, they also offer gluten free and other allergen info.
All in all, our stay at Alexis Hotel has been warm, friendly and relaxing.
We would stay again if we ever find ourselves back in Crete!
