A marvellous understated hotel , amazing location in the town , with beautiful views. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast. The staff can't do enough for you - lovely eggs each morning

In the evenings , they serve a selection of excellent steaks. Staff are well informed , and really on it. Our first time in Chania , but it won't be the last

Lovely boutique hotel, large rooms, comfortable setting, staff were friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was amazing! Dinner at the same restaurant was also excellent! Highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again! Only con was parking was limited

Great location! A real “gem” in the centre of Chania’s port

Even though the harbor was very crowded and busy late into the evening we did not hear a thing. It is in a pedestrian only zone so be prepared to walk a block or so upon arrival

All of the rooms has really nice sea view from the balcony which is really nice. The staff of the hotel is very friendly. Location is perfect, only few meters to the beach and just 15 minute walk to the Chania Old Town

Also, you are charged to use the room safe at €20/25 per week (I can't remember the exact amount) which should be included in the price of your booking. Also, there were very few utensils in the apartment

Very basic hotel with nice view to the beach and the sea. Elderly hotel keepers are nice. Hotel reception is in the taverna which is overpriced and food is nothing special

The staff, who seem to be the owners, where very friendly. The location is great: beachfront, 1km away from the city center and 1km away from the bus station

Great location - beach and restaurants are just around corner. No breakfast, bar or pool, but mini-market is right front of the hotel. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. You can set A/C at the exact degree you want

Personnel of the taverna are pretty weird and seems that they are drunk every day. Also they are smoking inside the restaurant and in the kitchen. The cocktail bar next door is ok and the personnel there is normal

Checkin ends at 9:30 pm but the owner waited for us until 12:30 am and met us at the end of the block to lead us to the hotel because access was a little confusing. The hotel is very old but very well kept and clean

It's also in an excellent location that is very central to everything

I've been in so many hotels and i usually choose traditional original buildings. They have combined traditional and classic elements in a great way without being too much

Very clean , in the absolute center (couldn't be more) in the old town of Chania. Super clean and Antonis and Maria (owners) are very friendly

Beautiful accomodation in great spot. In the middle of the city, next to all the shops and sights of Chania, with mesmerizing view to the church of Agios Nikolaos

We absolutely loved the Ionas Boutique Hotel. It is in a perfect location in the old town in Hania. The morning breakfast on the patio is just amazing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly

Good location, at 5-10 minutes walking distance from the port, not in a loud area but close to the city center, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed, nice large balcony

Location was dead centre in Chania allowing great accessibility to all the local sights, restaurants & views

Cons: the bathroom doesn't have any type of hangers or shelves for the towels/toiletries; the place feels a bit old; no parking place, but we found public parking on Mark

Breakfast was great value for money with lots of tasty options, I even saved the sandwich everyday for my lunch due to the filling options provided

Bathroom was very clean & modern. Bedroom was clean as well with a comfortable bed. Big terrace / balcony area with a great view

Mpotsari street and nearby streets (10 minutes away by foot)

We liked it so much we returned for our last two nights before leaving crete. Our balcony overlooked the lovely beach. Fabulous restaurants close by. Especially Kous Kous and Manos. Recommend the rooms with the Seaview

I got room 34 seaside with balcony. The room is very beautiful and have a really nice bathroom. Location is great with beach close and restaurants all the way to Chania harbour

In fact our favorite restaurant is 100 meters away. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Good place to drink some beers when sun goes down. Good service

The room, however, was basic, with old furnishings and foam mattresses which were not so comfortable. However, it was clean, especially by Greek standards

For unpretentious people, it is a good choice, because it is convenient for the beach, and the old town can be reached in twenty minutes on foot

We stayed here for 5 nights, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is insanely central, everywhere in the city centre is within walking distance

Perfect combination of relaxation in the heart of the city. While busy tourist towns are not our thing, this hotel provided the perfect, quite, luxurious retreat

Really good location 😃 Rooms are outstanding! Decoration is perfect, but the best part is the mattress, in which we had a perfect night sleep. Also rooms aren’t loud at all, even the location is in a high traffic road

The room was beautiful, the staff super attentive and the private jacuzzi was exactly what we needed after the Samaria Gorge hike. If you want to stay in the city without hearing it, I recommend one of these two rooms

Plus in the hotel a small but nice pool (we didn't have time to use it) and a floor with ping pong, small pool and gym. In one word: super recommended!!!!!! Nice loggia in the room and in public stair

The location is excellent and quiet. It is within a ten-minute walk from the bus center. Next door is a restaurant highly recognized by locals, which is not expensive

The room was well decorated, new and clean. The room and bathroom were big enough and I was very satisfied. The view from our room balcony was amazing. The breakfast was simple and not much choice but it was ok

The reception was in the house next door. If you drive, you can park on Talos square for free. It is very convenient to walk to the port in about 7 minutes. Many restaurants were closed at the end of December

If you come by car, the landmark is Sklavenitis. There are many roadside parking lots in the alleys nearby. If you are worried about your car being hit, it would be safer to find a parking lot

Superb location. We upgraded to a suite with a spa bath. Lovely view overlooking the harbour. Free water in the fridge. Very spacious room. Breakfast was very good. A lot of choice.

Beautifully appointed room, only complaint was location of toilet behind the bathroom door, not ideal for a large person. Aratee’s recommendation for Tamara restaurant was great

However the most impressive part is the staff, they are all lovely and willing to do anything for you. The hospitality is some of the best I’ve come across and I’ve stayed in many nice hotels all over the world

Special shout out to Zoey who went above and beyond with helping us plan our day activities and where to eat! The hotel has everything you need, bed is very comfortable, breakfast is great, and very well situated

Where do I start, this hotel is superb for many reasons! Firstly the location is excellent, right next to the harbour and old town and the only hotel I know of that has a pool in this vicinity

And I can’t forget the staff at the cocktail bar by the pool, real good fun and they/George (the general manager) will randomly come around with free shots or drink. This was a very classy touch and much appreciated

We felt like family not guests!! Breakfast was ample with a mixture of hot and cold items, the hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner but you can order food at the cocktail bar next to the pool

The hotel has approximately five parking spaces in front of the hotel for guests which is very convenient (there’s a bigger free parking lot nearby in the event the hotel’s spots are taken)

The Christina Beach hotel has its own entrance and reception accessed by a door facing the beach. You can walk into the Christina Hotel and through the ground to the Beach hotel

Really nice hotel great location on the beach. Our apartment was large modern well stocked kitchen coffee machine and a toastie. Two balconies with sea and mountain views

Firstly, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL VIA THIRD PARTY WEBSITES, ONLY DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL! Otherwise, you may end up booked into a hotel in Kissamos (long way from Nea Chora Beach/Chania Old Town) by the third party website! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel

The one gripe which annoyed us when you pay £1000 to stay for the week it annoyed us we were charged 15 euro a day to use hotel beach beds

Nice rooms, clean and sea views. Attached to a mini resort with pool, bar, restaurant and of course a nice sandy beach. Very nice and helpful staff, room cleaned daily, which is great. Nice little kitchenette was a bonus

The hotel has its own supermarket. There is a compressor that can be used to inflate toys. The gym is sparsely equipped but sufficient. It is possible to connect media accounts like Netflix and YouTube to the TV

With a great price/quality ratio, in one of the best places in Chania (koum kapi) it is always one of my first choices when a friend visits town !

The air-condition in our room was broken and although I informed the people there in the afternoon they did not fix it. Hence we had to spend a very noisy warm night after a day long of traveling

The good things about this place is that the hotel is virtually on the beach. The price is very reasonable compared to the location. And the place offers free breakfast

Friendly and helpful staff, acceptable breakfast, good view, but it isnt place for sleeping- enuogh noisy at night because of restaraunts on the street.

But the drawbacks are since it is a hotspot of tourists and the ground floor is a bar on the beach it get VERY VERY noisy till 1-2 am in the night

The hotel is located very close to the old harbor (walking distance). During high season, parking can be a problem. The rooms are a bit old and very basic but the staff is VERY polite, friendly and helpful

It's quiet on the other side of the Venetian Wall next to the harbor in Chania, Crete. My second time to Irene Hotel. Very friendly and clean and you can walk to your favorite places!

The room wasn't fancy but the bed was very comfy, wifi was decent, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was included and very nice

The location was excellent, being less than a 5 minute walk from the old town and port. All in all I really enjoyed my stay here

Considering the price (I paid 61€ a night for a double in August), so I would say it's value for money
