A marvellous understated hotel , amazing location in the town , with beautiful views. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast. The staff can't do enough for you - lovely eggs each morning

In the evenings , they serve a selection of excellent steaks. Staff are well informed , and really on it. Our first time in Chania , but it won't be the last

Lovely boutique hotel, large rooms, comfortable setting, staff were friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was amazing! Dinner at the same restaurant was also excellent! Highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again! Only con was parking was limited

Great location! A real “gem” in the centre of Chania’s port

Even though the harbor was very crowded and busy late into the evening we did not hear a thing. It is in a pedestrian only zone so be prepared to walk a block or so upon arrival

This property has ruined it for all the other hotels! Best service, the staff is beyond friendly and helpful!! You feel completely spoiled! The room was beautiful! They thought of everything to make your stay elevated!! We can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there

This hotel is beautiful. The staff are the nicest people and so friendly. The breakfast is over and above anywhere I have been. If you are lucky enough to come to Chania this is definitely the hotel to stay at.

The hotel was nice, even though the room was a bit small. The view was beautiful, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, and I especially enjoyed the breakfast

Good location, at 5-10 minutes walking distance from the port, not in a loud area but close to the city center, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed, nice large balcony

Location was dead centre in Chania allowing great accessibility to all the local sights, restaurants & views

Cons: the bathroom doesn't have any type of hangers or shelves for the towels/toiletries; the place feels a bit old; no parking place, but we found public parking on Mark

Breakfast was great value for money with lots of tasty options, I even saved the sandwich everyday for my lunch due to the filling options provided

Bathroom was very clean & modern. Bedroom was clean as well with a comfortable bed. Big terrace / balcony area with a great view

It’s within walking distance to the old town, the beach, and restaurants in the city center

Room was perfect for one person. Airport transfers perfect and the lady who does them was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable. Walk into the Venetian old port was about 10mins with loads of restaurants and shops

The hotel is quite close to the city centre. On the last day of our stay, when we were waiting in the entrance for our car to pick up us, the staff came out and gave us cold drinks as well

They helped us organize rides to and from places in Chania when it wasn’t walkable and were very clear with their communication. Some of the nicest people to have as hotel staff. I highly recommend this place

Motorcycles and cars turn and accelerate here. I can't fall asleep until 12 o'clock in the evening. I can also be woken up at 5 o'clock in the morning. The noise of the accelerating car is too loud

The facilities in the room are average, the service is in place, the location is a little remote, and the facilities nearby are average, but it's a ten-minute walk to a relatively prosperous place, overall it's good

All of the rooms has really nice sea view from the balcony which is really nice. The staff of the hotel is very friendly. Location is perfect, only few meters to the beach and just 15 minute walk to the Chania Old Town

Also, you are charged to use the room safe at €20/25 per week (I can't remember the exact amount) which should be included in the price of your booking. Also, there were very few utensils in the apartment

Very basic hotel with nice view to the beach and the sea. Elderly hotel keepers are nice. Hotel reception is in the taverna which is overpriced and food is nothing special

The staff, who seem to be the owners, where very friendly. The location is great: beachfront, 1km away from the city center and 1km away from the bus station

Great location - beach and restaurants are just around corner. No breakfast, bar or pool, but mini-market is right front of the hotel. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. You can set A/C at the exact degree you want

Personnel of the taverna are pretty weird and seems that they are drunk every day. Also they are smoking inside the restaurant and in the kitchen. The cocktail bar next door is ok and the personnel there is normal

Decent size room for 3 people. Parking was a few blocks away. Staff at bar attached to hotel were very unfriendly. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and was given an attitude

We liked it so much we returned for our last two nights before leaving crete. Our balcony overlooked the lovely beach. Fabulous restaurants close by. Especially Kous Kous and Manos. Recommend the rooms with the Seaview

Really good location 😃 Rooms are outstanding! Decoration is perfect, but the best part is the mattress, in which we had a perfect night sleep. Also rooms aren’t loud at all, even the location is in a high traffic road

The reception was in the house next door. If you drive, you can park on Talos square for free. It is very convenient to walk to the port in about 7 minutes. Many restaurants were closed at the end of December

If you come by car, the landmark is Sklavenitis. There are many roadside parking lots in the alleys nearby. If you are worried about your car being hit, it would be safer to find a parking lot

Superb location. We upgraded to a suite with a spa bath. Lovely view overlooking the harbour. Free water in the fridge. Very spacious room. Breakfast was very good. A lot of choice.

Beautifully appointed room, only complaint was location of toilet behind the bathroom door, not ideal for a large person. Aratee’s recommendation for Tamara restaurant was great

The hotel is on the beach which was great! You will have to fork out €10 for two sun loungers on the beach, but the plus point is that they have the Christina Hotel restaurant on the beach where you can order food at a reasonable price and the portions are huge! The hotel is clean and has daily service too

Lovely hotel, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great location only about a 15 min walk into Chania but some great restaurants close to the hotel too! Snack bar good and huge portions in my opinion! Secure luggage containers if you need them

With a 1 minute walk to a sun lounger on the beach, the location is excellent. There is a great selection of sea-front restaurants, all with a few minutes walk of the hotel, and the old port is a stroll away

The hotel is located very close to the old harbor (walking distance). During high season, parking can be a problem. The rooms are a bit old and very basic but the staff is VERY polite, friendly and helpful

It's quiet on the other side of the Venetian Wall next to the harbor in Chania, Crete. My second time to Irene Hotel. Very friendly and clean and you can walk to your favorite places!

The room wasn't fancy but the bed was very comfy, wifi was decent, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was included and very nice

The hotel deserves its four-star rating. The lobby and the restaurant on the second floor are both beautiful and elegantly decorated. 22 square meters is basically consistent. The beds and quilts are very comfortable

The hotel service is very good and will help you book a taxi to the airport for an early flight the next day. The location is very good, just 300 meters away from the most lively Old Town Square and port in Chania.

The food and service are the best! Especially Rena, who works the bar. She makes the best drinks, always has a beautiful smile to greet everyone with, and willing to be helpful to those of us not from Crete.

Rena is not just a bartender; she is the heart of Kydon. From the moment I walked into the bar, she greeted me with warmth and made me feel like I was among friends, even though I was far from home

We stayed at Samaria Hotel for four nights as a couple with a toddler, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hotel is charming with a perfect location, everything is spotless and sparkling clean

When it came to parking the valet service was amazing. again our team's hours were out of the ordinary and well outside of the staff's hours. When the team lead explained, again, the staff accommodated our needs

Rooms clean and facilities well thought out, breakfast was incredible! But the thing that made our trip was the welcome of all the staff, they couldn't do enough to accommodate us and every single team member was friendly and helpful

Our schedule did not align with the breakfast hours, with our team leaving an hour earlier than their normal opening, no problem, the staff opened up the restaurant an hour and a half early! And the best part is you would never have known that it wasn't a normal service

It may prove difficult to get to because of it's location on a narrow, cobblestone street, but it is well worth the walk! Elevator starts on the first floor as some mentioned, but it had no bearing on us, we just dragged our luggage up one short flight of stairs - it wasn't an issue at all

The breakfasts were just great, with the most delicious freshly squeezed orange juice I have ever tasted. The rooms were spacious and well appointed ( although the bathroom handbasin was a bit "unusual!!!")
