SanSal Boutique Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for three nights on our honeymoon. It was amazing. Manolis and the rest of the staff are the best! We got a corner room with a great sea view, it was also modernly furnished and very spacious. The swimming pool upstairs is the best of the best. The breakfast was amazing and the free parking was a plus. We encourage all guests to order cocktails while lounging by the pool.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Just got back from a 10 night stay and wished I could have stayed another week. The rooms are great with a great view and the pool couldn't be better. They have a great app that allows you to have drinks delivered to the pool, great for an afternoon cocktail. The entire staff was incredible and went above and beyond, even helping me propose! I can't wait to go back next year.

Loved it. Great service, food, pool, location, big balconies, nice rooms. Improve: Music by the pool. Lacks a bit of atmosphere. Putting a mattress with water would be great in this amazing pool. Amnesty in the room. Like fabric. Bit noise coming from outside. Light coming inside the room needs to be improved curtains.

Where do I start, this hotel is superb for many reasons!

Firstly the location is excellent, right next to the harbour and old town and the only hotel I know of that has a pool in this vicinity. The decor is clean and modern and the hotel is spotless. I was worried that the pool and surrounding area may get too crowded but it was perfect.

However the most impressive part is the staff, they are all lovely and willing to do anything for you. The hospitality is some of the best I’ve come across and I’ve stayed in many nice hotels all over the world. From the ladies who service the rooms to the breakfast staff who greet you in the morning, they all greet you with a smile and are all wonderful. The reception staff are excellent and gave us some really good recommendations on where to go on day trips, where to eat and some lovely bars for pre/post dinner drinks. And I can’t forget the staff at the cocktail bar by the pool, real good fun and they/George (the general manager) will randomly come around with free shots or drink. This was a very classy touch and much appreciated. We felt like family not guests!!

Breakfast was ample with a mixture of hot and cold items, the hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner but you can order food at the cocktail bar next to the pool. Drink and food were reasonably priced too.

There is some construction work next door as a new hotel is being constructed but this is beyond their control…

We loved our stay at SanSal Boutique Hotel. The staff is super accommodating. We received a welcome drink and Renata at the reception desk showed us on the map where everything is and which restaurants to go to. The hotel has approximately five parking spaces in front of the hotel for guests which is very convenient (there’s a bigger free parking lot nearby in the event the hotel’s spots are taken). The infinity pool on the roof top is perfect to soak in the sun and enjoy the view whilst having a beer or cocktail, especially the sunset in the evening.

Don't miss a stay in this hotel if you are looking for a restful and luxurious stay with the best ocean view on the island. Maria and her team took fantastic care of us and made us feel at home from the first moment of walking into the lobby. We were offered a delicious juice on the rocks, a set of recommendations for our stay, and sent off to our sea-view room with fantastic sleep awaiting us. The rooftop hosts a stunning and refreshing pool wjth complimentary towels waiting at the bar. We will come again!

Modern hotel by the sea. Well appointed rooms; however, a few details were overlooked, such as too few hooks in the bathroom. Rooms overlook the sea, nice view. 7th floor terrace has a bar and a swimming pool. Extensive breakfast spread. Walk to downtown and seaside restaurants in a few minutes.

Sansal was a phenomenal stay for us to begin our honeymoon in Greece. We spent four nights here, and everything was truly outstanding. The staff were very attentive and kind. Special shout out to Zoey who went above and beyond with helping us plan our day activities and where to eat! The hotel has everything you need, bed is very comfortable, breakfast is great, and very well situated. Highly recommend!

We stayed in this wonderful hotel for our wedding anniversary and we loved every minute of our stay! From start to finish the experience was great. The staff at the hotel are all friendly and welcoming and always have a smile on their face. The rooms are to die for! We had a room overlooking the sea and harbour - the view was amazing and it was impeccably clean. We were welcomed with a bottle of Greek wine and on two of the nights the hotel very kindly gave us some sweet bread (to celebrate Easter) and a chocolate pastry cake. The breakfast each morning was fab - all fresh food and the staff were so attentive. Fresh coffee, fresh eggs, fresh pastries and nibbles - no packaged food - really makes a difference! The hotel itself is a stone’s throw away from Chania centre which is great as you can enjoy a stroll into town. The pool on the top floor was fabulous - amazing views across the bay. All in all - a 5 star stay! Would highly recommend
