Location: in the town of Rethymno, 80 km from Heraklion airport, 60 km from Chania. A bus stop 30 metres from the hotel.

Not quite a full 5 stars but worth a shout. Clean and competitively priced.Oil’s far better inside that the outer first impression from the main road
Rooms are on the small side and bathrooms compact. But, all clean and the hotel boasts several pools and a good restaurant.
One things is the Hotel has a good cross section of visitors, always a good sign. Not for the younger guest, teenagers would find it boring and it is set up for mature visitors.

Second time staying here, lovely helpful staff. Plenty to choose form at breakfast. We didn't have evening meal as ate out. Although couple of negatives was slow in setting up tables, and closing the pool early. Beach 5 mins walk, lots of surrounding bars on sea front, Walk or take a bus outside hotel to Old Town.

Easygoing hotel, with good access to amenities locally, short distance to beach, restaurants, good access for taxis and pickup locations for excursions. Room was clean, large and air conditioned. Standard buffet fare, with lots of different options for breakfast and dinner. Opportunities to practice Greek but for when that runs out the majority of staff are fluent English speakers.

Don't be put off by corridors, they are a little shabby but the rooms are fabulous, we had a suite thanks to a free upgrade. Fruit, wine and baguettes were left for us, welcome after a late arrival. Easy check in thanks to an app. Spotlessly clean, clean towels daily, bed changed half way through the week. Free WiFi throughout, free safe. The pool areas are clean and tidy a nice area to relax with lots of sunbeds, we visited beginning of September. Entertainment was OK, usual holiday offerings. Bar and restaurant staff are lovely, cocktails are to die for! Bit of a steep drive, but easy walk to beach and other sites. Only issue was the hotel layout which is a little complicated to say the least but once you got used to it was OK.

We have been in Minos Hotel on vacation. This is just an great hotel. When we arrived the manager poured us a drink while we checked in, immediately making us feel welcome. Even the first day we were surprised in a perfect way when they gave us upgrade from double room to suite apartment for the same price an when we open the door from room there was one more surprise - champagne, wine and fruit for warm welcome. The view from balcony was just magic. Friendly,kind and most helpful staff In any way. If they can help you they will for sure. The room was perfectly clean all the time. Plenty of very tasty food ( you can't decide what to take). Perfect location and super clean pools and whole public place in hotel. Every day they have very interesting entertainment: from belly dancer to live music and tasty BBQ diner next to the poll and etc.From 1-5 I give 10 and definitely I recommend it and when we go yo Crete again for sure our choice will be Minos hotel. Trust me you will enjoy to stay in this hotel

Friendly welcoming staff. Breakfast was an ok buffet with good choice.
Location convenient for beach and shops etc.
Rooms and beds reasonable size, bathroom small but adequate.
Only negative was selfish guests loudly talking/shouting in hallways very late at night. Maybe put some signs up to remind idiots to be considerate?

Minos Aparthotels is such a great home 🏠 when you are away from home 🏠 the (new apartments) have such modern large showers and bathrooms, the spacious balconies are amazing to have evening cocktails and dinners. The bedroom is a proper size and the lounge / dining area with the kitchenette is perfect when on holiday. We booked two apartments for 2 adults and 2 kids (20&15) well I guess they are adults as well 😂. Most importantly, wow staff (friends) are amazing - Julia + Elene (are sooo amazing) - I mean how can someone remember names when you deal with so many people. Great spread for breakfast - my kids had a full spread 10 days in a row - fantastic.

The pool are is great and there is even a seperately kiddies pool (both which close by 18:00). Great events such as live bands / dj’s / BBQ nights so great entertainment. Overall family loved the place and wants to go back again next year. Was our second trip to Rethymno Crete.

Minos hotel is well located in Rethymno, it is up a slight hill however there is a lift from the street to the lobby. The beach is about 200mtrs away & The old town is culturally interesting and has a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. It's a steady 20 minutes walk. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was no literature in the room offering advice about the area, but plenty of advice online available for where and what to do. The rooms would benefit an extra mirror outside the bathroom for ease of getting ready. Air conditioning was working however we did ask and received an extra fan for the heat. We had a small issue with housekeeping However management were quick to deal and discuss, no further issues encounted. Clean towels and the VERY comfortable beds made every day. We can't
comment on entertainment at night as we went out. Great selection on offer at breakfast and daytime time snacks were value for money. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday at Minos and would say we would return.

It’s nice place to stay, close to the beach, great service, people very kind and want to help you. Room is clean. Food is fresh and tasty. I really like this place! I have a good impression of this place!

Wifi is very poor. It does not work most of the time. Area around the smallish pool does not contain enough sunbeds. You would need to ”reserve” sunbeds after breakfast with a towel. Also you need to do check-in with a mobile app, although lobby personel will gladly help.
