Fortezza Hotel

A hotel with perfect location. It's fresh and well cleaned.

- Location is everything for this hotel. 0min walk to the Old Town and all that is has to offer. Around 15min walk to the big beach.

Around 1h 30min with the transfer bus. With some traffic and a few hotel stops before us (we were number 4 in order)

- Decent breakfast. It covers the basics and it's enough. Friendly, fast working staff. Open between 7:30-10:30. Rush hour is definitely around 9:30 but we always found a free table.

- Rooms are fresh and well cleaned. We got a room on the top floor (3rd) and furthest away in the hallway. And probably the biggest balcony. With a view over the pool. Ask for room 311, you won't be disappointed.

AC worked fine and wasn't too loud. Had a good night's sleep all week.

- Wifi worked decently. Didn't have the strength to stream anything but enough to check and social media and so on.

- Pool area is tiny. We spent our days at the beach.

- Supermarket across the street is perfect and you can find most of it here. With good prices. Open till 22

The only negative thing was the gentleman on the third floor that repeatedly smoked cigarettes in the fire escape stairs in the mornings. The smell didn't enter our room, but the hallway did.

Overall. Would definitely come here again.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the staff at Fortezza made everything perfect for our stay. The free breakfast and WiFi were fantastic, the pool and sun loungers were amazing, and the location is the best; right in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of everything we needed.
When we had an issue with the shower it was fixed within a couple of hours, and when our flight was cancelled the hotel were very helpful in sorting everything out for us.

Just got here about 2am this morning, 1st time staying here, but we knew about this hotel as we've been to rethymno 4 times, we have a great room with sun most of the day, and till the last bit of sun at night, staff, bar and breakfast have been fabulous and we're only here 1 day 🇬🇷🌞

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is fantastic. The rooms were big and clean. We really enjoyed the pool area and the breakfast had lots of vegetarian options. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great location for the old town and eateries. Very clean, so friendly and polite with a great range for breakfast. Quiet location, very good value for money.

We recomend this hotel in the old town of Rethymno near to everything, good restaurants as Kapilio and Agrimi, stoors, shops, icecreambars and near to Rethymno beach. Enjoy holliday 😎👍🌞

We stayed here 2 weeks in August. Hotel is nice and clean, staff are very friendly. Good location if u want to be in the city centre of Rethymno, however u cant hear traffic noise to pool area.
Room was smaller than we expected, bed was not great and A/C made a lot of noise. Omelettes and other warm foods at breakfast were often cold, because lid was open all the time. Other than that, we really liked our stay.

The hotel has an old venetian flair. The staff was super friendly. It is superior to most other 3 star hotels. The lobby is inviting and I sat there with my Laptop for checking mails etc. The parking is perfect! It is across the street and you get a 50% discount as a hotel guest.
