Bit peeved that Spa access was extra. Would have been nice if in the deal

Perfect hotel, very friendly staff and we were always feeling velcome. We were travelling with one handicapped child in a wheelchair and the staff always looked after us and were very welcoming

What we expreienced as a bit negative was that even though all signs were saying that reserving sun beds were "illegal" most people did this every day so that if we were to get seats beside the pool before 12 PM, this was impossible even if apparently nobody were there

All this make your holiday perfect. We met several other guests that were returning guests. It seems that when guests experience this excellent hotel, they return. We will definately come back probably in a 2 years time

The service is personal and excellent, rooms are very good with everything you need, you have your own place on the beach and it is just a very short walk before you are in the center of Platannias

We especially enjoyed the interactive games like “Guess What It Is” and the Music Quiz—both were so much fun for the whole family and brought everyone together in a lively, friendly atmosphere

Wonderful, in every way! Close to the beach, Clean sandy beach and sea. The pool area is also nice and clean. Fits for couples and families, for anyone actually. The room were big enough and the bed was very comfortable

Martin from the animation/entertainment team was great! We all really enjoyed the daily darts game! Theodora (training captain) in the buffet restaurant was amazing, my 10 month old daughter absolutely loved her

Even outside the resort the local businesses were so friendly and not pushy for sales, in fact they gave us free drinks and gifts for our children! Can not recommend this resort and the area enough!

She went out of her way every time to help us. All the staff were so friendly and lovely which made our stay extremely memorable

We had same overboiled eggs, cereal, ham, cheese and bread every morning for a week. A big advantage was fresh orange juice and hot sandwich pan though. To sum up the best two star hotel I have ever stayed at!

We visited in may so we were surounded by a very nice smell of blooming flowers. The only thing I would see as an improvement is a wider choice of food for breakfast

And the staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. The hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar but that is not an issue as there is a variety of tavernas near by

I was here a year ago. All rooms is small, but for holiday is good. One room with kitchen, AC, bed and bathroom. Owner was really helpful and hospitable. This hotel is close to the beatch and shop.

Clean, peaceful, not far from Beach, Market. But breakfast are the same all days, haven't lunch and dinner opportunities and WiFi is not perfect. It wasn't working in our room at all

Pool bar also had snacks in between meal times as well as ice cream. The pool was a good size but is on the cooler side but once you’re in and moving it’s fine this was probably down to the time of year

Review for Sunrise Village, Crete ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) I stayed at Sunrise Village in Crete for 7 days as a single mum with three teenage daughters, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience

One lady from Romania ( so sorry I forgot her name) made such an effort to speak and better her English with us (which was very good anyway) hats off to all staff!! How the aqua aerobics lady manages in that heat is beyond me! I never participate is things like that but we loved it

The food was amazing — even my fussiest eater was abme to have something! There was plenty of variety and everything was fresh and tasty. The drink selection was also excellent, with something for everyone

Soft drinks and water was good - it was actually tasty ! Cocktails were also good but nothing special. Not a lot of room for sunbeds, especially when people were leaving them in front of their rooms for all day

It wasn't busy in general except of start of lunch and dinner time. Room was great and specious ( Maisonette ). Two sofas on the first floor then double size bed upstairs. Two bathrooms and both rooms with aircon unit

Two pools, fitness center what's not to like 😎🌞 great buffet with loads of new dishes each day. They also went in a extra bit and celebrated me and my wife's birtday with cake and drinks 🍸 😄

Plenty of sun lounges which are really comfy, beach towels are also provided. The hotel is beautifully presented and clean, with cleaners and maintenance workers working all day taking pride in the areas

It's a great hotel with great and helpful staff, always smiling and with good energy, our family been more then happy for our stay here, I'm sure we will come back again 😀 😊 definitely a place to visit, you have beach 30 meters from the hotel too

Also the sun sets on the other side of the beach with is also beautiful. Overall we had an amazing week at Maleme Mare. We would highly recommend it if you’re after a week of relaxing in this friendly, family feel hotel

We would like to give a massive shout out to Aris who made an effort with us each day, what a lovely guy and we feel as though we’ve left with a friend. 3 nights a week there’s entertainment on at the bar

Sasha is always working hard and there’s a big selection of cocktails in the evening. By the end of the night everyone is up dancing and laughing. The food is perfectly presented and huge selection

The Spa was beautiful- I enjoyed their amazing cool pool and jacuzzi all to myself. What let this place down was the very poor quality of food we ordered with room service

This resort is surrounded by lush green plantations blended harmoniously with the ocean breeze and a peaceful tranquility. There are 4 restaurants, pool bars and a beautiful wellness spa center

The spa pool & jacuzzi waters are kept so cold, it's impossible to get in. And they should upgrade their gym, which is not compatible to a 5-star hotel (extremely old/bad equipment)

The food choices are amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast & dinner, although dinner varies every evening, according to themes (Greek, Grill, Italian. Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable

We came as a family of 4 with a 4 year old and 3 month old. The hotel is decent for a family break. Pools and slides very good for the kids and for an all inclusive the food wasn’t too bad although repetitive

As it was at the end of September, it was not crowded, thus both the resort staff and the facilities were not overwhelmed and in fact, I was treated to a really welcoming, spotlessly clean and calm environment

As other reviews state, snack bar serving pizza/gyros/burgers which is decent. Drinks mainly all self serve, typical for an all inclusive, local brands but ok

Got to the room, and the bathroom was left in a disgusting state by whoever was before us, toilet and shower etc… dirty towels all over the bathroom still. No one had even changed towels in between family’s

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

Beautiful hotel but poorly designed bathroom in our apartment. Pool was ice-cold (we went last week of the season though). Other than that, beautiful stay!

Overall a nice hotel. Breakfast is not included, which would be nice. Rooms are a little worn, but with nice facilities. Nice location next to the beach and a couple of stores and restaurants.

The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, including regular towel changes. Moreover, from the early hours, the pools and pathways were well-maintained

In Althea you can literally feel like in Greek village, relaxing in gardens in hammock, feeling the peace and harmony to the surroundings

Across the street, there’s a quieter pool where you can relax in peace, while the main pool area has music and daily activities

Sunbeds are also not available at the pool on most mornings despite the pool not opening until 9am the sunbeds are all occupied well before that time

Nice area, clean, wonderful Beach for small children too. Great breakfast in the restaurant. Wonderful view to the sea.

Nice hotel in Platanias, very close to the beach. The restaurant is next to the beach, you can also overlook the Playground for the kids. There is a great "greek night" with dinner and show once a week

Nice Hotel just on the beach. Just perfect because it is not too much nor too less. Recommended absolutely.

Drinks in the hotel bar are way overpriced paid 8€ for a cocktail that was served in a juice cup and was less than half full! In saying that accommodation is adequate, location is good as it's close to everything and bus service to Chania is brilliant at 2

If you want exceptional service, if you want to base yourself in a quality venue that makes touring Crete easy we had a car, but there is a good bus service The joy of staying at Asterion Suites & Spa is after a day of exploring or a night visiting Chania old town which is a must you have a sense of coming home to family and friends

The location of this hotel is excellent and the beach and sea here are fantastic. The service here is just outstanding. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. The dining room manager was fantastic

We both enjoyed our walks along the sea-front, took a taxi into Chania Old Town and went for a trip on a mini-train which had an accessible carriage! It means so much to be able to still enjoy a holiday like this, so thank you to everyone at the Asterion, especially to the kind gentleman who mended the back of my scooter with his Allen key!

It really was some of the best service I've ever had and I travel extensively. The hotel is very clean; the cleaners do an excellent job. It's a very quiet, relaxing place. I found the evening barman somewhat sleazy!

The staff are all brilliant, our room was lovely, quality of the food and drinks fantastic, pool and beach great
