Hotels with sea view in Kato Daratso

Time will tell if we get bored of the salad bar within our week long stay. The sea view from the main restaurant is very nice and quite peaceful

Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. Hotel was modern, big and had lots of pools. Restraunt for all inclusive was lovely! Views were also great looking onto beach while eating

What we expreienced as a bit negative was that even though all signs were saying that reserving sun beds were "illegal" most people did this every day so that if we were to get seats beside the pool before 12 PM, this was impossible even if apparently nobody were there

Perfect hotel, very friendly staff and we were always feeling velcome. We were travelling with one handicapped child in a wheelchair and the staff always looked after us and were very welcoming

Our first disappointment was the receptionist who could not be bothered to give us 100% of his attention during check-in; he was on the phone for a third of it, spent another third asking people behind us in line why they were here to see if he could have some "quick win" fixes and ended the check-in by speed running all the instructions of our stay and the resort map

These rushed explanations led to the misunderstanding of where to eat and what was included in the half-baked where the serving staff was much more well-mannered and even offered the two wines we ordered without knowing we would be paying for it

Our room had a nice view to the main swimming pool, with the sea in the background. We received a complimentary wine bottle at checkin. There was always nice live music playing somewhere every evening

All aspects of the room should be old. The service is ok, it is not recommended to choose the sea view breakfast provided by them, it is not as good as the buffet breakfast.

There are plenty of beach chairs available, and you can have a fresh beach towel every day, if you wish. You can get served with food/beverages the entire time the beach area is "open"

The food choices are amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast & dinner, although dinner varies every evening, according to themes (Greek, Grill, Italian. Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable

Great place for a family vacation. Lots of pools. Good food. All animation is in English.

We came as a family of 4 with a 4 year old and 3 month old. The hotel is decent for a family break. Pools and slides very good for the kids and for an all inclusive the food wasn’t too bad although repetitive

We arrived at reception for the room to be told we’d have to wait for another 3 family’s to use it first. Not great with young children when you’ve been promised you wouldn’t have to wait

As other reviews state, snack bar serving pizza/gyros/burgers which is decent. Drinks mainly all self serve, typical for an all inclusive, local brands but ok

(I think these prices were made up to be honest) We had a good stay overall, but this was ruined slightly on the last day when we needed the courtesy room

We asked about 3 times whether we needed to book one and was told every time that we should turn up 5 minutes before as there is lots of different rooms

The main point - food was absolutely amazing! There was nothing we didn’t like and we are picky eaters. Loads of choices from meat, fish, veggie, and seasoned perfectly. The local corner was our favourite

We’ve searched for this year holiday for 6 months because one bad review put us off. But decided to spend this year at Caldera and that was the best decision ever

Very nice location, with direct access to the beach. We booked an apartment with sea view, with a large terrace, very clean and comfortable

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

The hotel has its own parking and has plenty of restaurants nearby, beachfront as well as in the main street. The host is very friendly, he offered a lot of valuable suggestions for spending time around the island

When we landed at the hotel there was an issue with our room so we got moved to the sister hotel over the road for one night which was fine, then they gave us a free massage and late check out also for the inconvenience which wasn't really an issue

We stayed there for our honeymoon for 7 days, and it was INCREDIBLE! Beautiful resort with everything you need, friendly staff, delicious delicious food! We booked the Executive Suite, it is two stories with a hot tub and a big balcony overlooking the pool and sea

We spent four days in the hotel at the end of the season. Accomodations ware great, food is good and the stuff gave us a home like fealing. We rented the big room with jacuzzi and it was great

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Very nice staff. A great pool area and bar, directly at the beach. Surrounded by nice Restaurants nearby, a little bit further up the hill.

We have been in Oscar Suites for a week. The location is super nice and the apartments are also very good. It's nice they have two pools and a fitness. The employees are very very nice and helpful

In 5 minutes bakery with ice cream and coffee, beach, shops, bars, bus station to Chania There is also amazing bar in the hotel and relax zone. Highly recommend to stay in this place

The hotel is well designed: two-storey, white, vaguely Arab-style buildings with lots of grassy areas, flowerbeds and trees. The rooms are functional and well-equipped with good beds and little balconies

It is worth buying family apartment typ de lux number 165 because it was worth the price. High standarts of ccleanliness,very goog food(regional green products👏)

Although it is close to the main coast road it doesn't seem too noisy and the beach zone (with a kids playground, fitness equipment and a volley ball pitch, etc

The rooms were spacious and clean, beds very comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location brilliant, very central on the main road and on the bus route, and near the Platanias bus stop

We stayed in the brand-new luxury suites, located directly at the sea, at "Marika Hotel", which exceeded all our expectations. The suite was pristine and the sea-view breathtaking

Nice hotel in Platanias, very close to the beach. The restaurant is next to the beach, you can also overlook the Playground for the kids. There is a great "greek night" with dinner and show once a week

Drinks in the hotel bar are way overpriced paid 8€ for a cocktail that was served in a juice cup and was less than half full! In saying that accommodation is adequate, location is good as it's close to everything and bus service to Chania is brilliant at 2

Of the 10 nights we only had dinner twice in the hotel as the food was not of a good standard, this added extra costs to our holiday as we had to pay for dinner elsewhere

Everything was great about our stay at Blue Dome. The rooms were very spacious, large balconies, the view was amazing, and the hotel itself is cleverly designed so you have a view of the sea from every room

Nice hotel, excellent placed by the sea. Only missed aircon in the gym, otherwise everything was perfectly fittet for a couples vacation, or a family trip with older children as well

Especially the blue sky painted wall in our bedroom. The air condition was new and very efficient. Be aware of the extra cost - but this is just necessary. The restaurant / pool bar is very good

It was updated, clean, with good working AC(not that easy to find in Europe). The pool is clean and well kept. My complaint about it is the depth. Its quite deep to stand and lounge if you are shorter than 5

We broke our never return rule for the Blue Dome. It really does have everything we want. Every room within a 2 minute walk of the beach

Antonis was an excellent host! Rooms were very clean and tidy, location was perfect for people that like to be next to the sea front and have access to a beautiful beach. Totally recommend the stay there!

We stayed at Iolkos apartments for two weeks in August 2024. The hotel is within a stone throw from the beach, convenient to walk there in the morning or get home for a siesta during the hottest hours

The flat is in perfect condition, well equipped and very well maintained during the stay. Very pleasant balcony with sea view. The air conditioning was perfect, which was much appreciated in very hot weather

And if you're really lucky, like us, you can have a room with a view at the sea. The studios were well-equipped and the cleaning service - excellent

Quiet, soundproof flat in the middle of a very quiet residential area. The sea is a 5-minute walk away with a very pleasant beach

We left with heavy hearts and a bucket list of more things to do in Crete during a future holiday. Should we ever visit again soon, we would love to stay at Iolkos apartments again! Thank you for your hospitality!

Excellent food in the restaurant, a lot of dietary dishes for children, a variety of the diet were changed every day. Two nice pools with sea views. All the amenities in a walking distance. Will definitely go here again!

Perfect place for a family holiday, the hotel on the first line, 20 meters from the beautiful sea, the magnificent sandy beach

We had a nice spacey room with sea view. We stayed there for one night, which was quite expensive, but for a family with kids this is definitely a place to visit. Very good bathroom and shower and good quality beds.

Hotel apt was clean and comfortable and staff is alwas nice and ready to help. Be aware the beach is not for children , it is really deep right after you step in the water

The beach is the gravel type!!! We had to travel 8 km towards Chania everyday where is sandy beach and calm water!!!

The location of the hotel is perfect for a beach holiday, the beach is just across the street. Nice pools even though we didn't use them as it was October and the water was a bit cold

The great staff is very service minded, and great rooms with an amazing atmosphere. The place is located just a few meters from the beach whereas the hotel have their own place with different options for beach beds

The apartment has a good location (near the beach, bus stop, two supermarkets and the sea is a 5-minute walk away). There is a washing machine on the top floor that you can use

The rooms were always clean, we could have free grapes,apples and tomatos,and they were sooo tasty)) The owner was very helpful and kind (to call a taxi or a bus-it was never a problem)

Btw,if you need to get to the center-bus station is near,taxies are cheap, and you can get there on foot-it will take you about 25 minutes

For the price we paid, it was generally good. On the downside, during our 9 night stay, they changed our bed linen and towels several times and never washed the floor. The kitchen is missing a frying pan

Taxi transfer can be arranged from the Chania airport. Sparkling cleanliness - the room was cleaned every day perfectly and smelled nicely refreshing. Pool area - very clean, well maintained and pleasant to stay
