Where you get your room in the hotel matters. A lot. At first when we arrived we got rooms that didn't look anything like the pictures in the hotel's website. Very clean, ood beds, very friendly staff, at last the majority of them, and all working in restaurants, cleaning and so on very friendly. The fact that many rooms are under ground level is not mentioned any where, we først received one of those rooms, and request a better room. The food at Domes Chania was excellent for all meals, but Dinner was outstanding. The wines list was comprehensive with some superb local and Greek wines, backed up by knowledgeable staff who knew what they were talking about and always had a recommendation. We were half board and would not book as half board again,breakfast is good with wide variety of options however dinner was a total disaster. Of the 10 nights we only had dinner twice in the hotel as the food was not of a good standard, this added extra costs to our holiday as we had to pay for dinner elsewhere. Sunbeds are also not available at the pool on most mornings despite the pool not opening...

It can’t get any better than this. Rooms are perfect, with central air (not common in Greece), very clean. The pool is amazing. It was the perfect place to spend our holiday in Crete. Close to the beach, with two pools, great terace and delicious breakfast and food. We recommend the restaurant during the evening.
