(Food excellent 1st and 2nd night) however, got worse and worse as the week went on (closer to closing the hotel). Drinks (cocktails) VERY good and plentiful

Other than that it has been a brilliant experience that I highly recommend! Thank you for a brilliant week :)

however we did receive a free upgrade to a room with a pool. Not sure if that was due to Platanias closing down for the season or if it's just how the hotel runs

Porto Platanias has got to be the best hotel I’ve personally been in. The staff are super super respectful and helpful from handling luggage to booking activities from the reception

Fine print though states both resorts have to pay extra for the water park at €15 per person

The beach resort is lovely, clean and the rooms are clean and can be cleaned daily. The food is lovely but it’s the same things every night with a very small variation so does get a bit boring by day 5-6

We spent the last night of our weeks holiday at this resort as a treat. The room was very good - very clean. Some excellent perks such as welcome drinks / cocktails and a bottle of wine

Fantastic Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Relaxing I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, helpful, and always attentive

Stayed 6 nights in a pool view room which we were upgraded to. Had a beautiful view from the 2nd floor. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent

The half board includes breakfast and dinner in which the food was excellent. We choose this option so that we could venture out during the day and explore other places for lunch

The breakfast was good but I was told I could not take my coffee out from the breakfast area - whatever we had had to be consumed there. Bearing in mind the pool can literally be 5 steps away from the breakfast area

Would we go back again - maybe - the layout and rooms and gifts were very good

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

We still could enjoy the quiet evening there without freezing. Rooms are fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker fridge freezer and table for 4 ppl. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels

Starting from reception, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were offered to leave baggage’s at the reception and stuff will take them to the room

The food was also very good, breakfast and all. About 35-40 minutes to Chania by bus. You can also rent a car to travel to other parts of the island

We spent some holidays in a past years in a hotels better and worst and we had some sort of level of everything that we didn’t want go lower

We’ve searched for this year holiday for 6 months because one bad review put us off. But decided to spend this year at Caldera and that was the best decision ever

We've just returned from a lovely holiday in Crete. The hotel is good but as I say in the title, there are some improvements needed. We still really enjoyed our stay though

Food was good , and a very good choice. Nice pool area , only a handful of people reserving sun beds by the pool , no issue getting a sun bed up to 11. The beach sun loungers are absolutely filthy, torn and tatty

45 pm and was told too late come back at 10 am next day , which was no good to us as we had booked another trip but the reception just back up the towel desk and said is the hotels rules and can not be changed

So basically a good stay , but not good enough to want to return, we would return to Crete again , Chania was lovely and is approximately 25 mins on a bus

Originally she said there wasn't another swim up available that night as they were all booked, so I requested a refund, but they called us an hour or so later to say they had an alternative, which we viewed and was much better

Amazing hotel for families. The new rooms look great. Stayed in a 3-room apt. Very spacious and huge balcony. We’re definitely coming back. Playground is pretty cool and was a favourite amongst our kids.

Quite clean, staff nice and friendly, good wine served for the most of the day. Close to the very nice beach spots and to Chania- walking distance most of the time by the beach. To sum up - pretty nice place to stay

Nice hotel with good rooms and a good restaurant/bar. The pool area is okay, but it is very difficult to get a sunbed as the hotel allows people to reserve them by putting a towel down

The food was delicious, our room was very clean, a very spacious bathroom, comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Would recommend Sirios Village to anyone!

Dishes at the restaurant are diverse, with cuisines from all over the world, and they are all delicious. The hotel is not too crowded, which I liked very much

What an amazing resort! We have been travelling around Europe for the past 7 weeks and this was our final stop. It was the perfect way to end our vacation

Nice room/suite and facilities, clean, peaceful environment and top tier service from the lovely staff! The room was very well equiped, good comfortable bed, great air condition, bathroom supplies including razors and other useful items

Welcome drink on arrival and a voucher for a free drink at the bar also. Pool area is relaxed and there are loungers on beach and round the pool so best of both options. Rooms are clean and comfortable

Also a ironing board and iron so one could get wrinkels out of the shirts. Breakfast was superb and a good variety to choose from, all with an magnificent seaview and friendly considerate staff

She gave us the best recommendations and made the hotel feel like a home

Beautiful hotel but poorly designed bathroom in our apartment. Pool was ice-cold (we went last week of the season though). Other than that, beautiful stay!

Overall a nice hotel. Breakfast is not included, which would be nice. Rooms are a little worn, but with nice facilities. Nice location next to the beach and a couple of stores and restaurants.

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

The rooms were also nice, with small kitchens equipped with everything you need for making food. The location was perfectly placed next to a shopping and dining street with all conceivable options available close by

We didn't try other hotels, but we imagine this being one of the best in the area

Our stay here was for our “Mini-moon” a short stay away after we got married, which we were accommodated for, had some lovely welcoming gifts and some chocolates, flowers and love heart roses on the bed

Nice restaurant in the resort, perfect beach with soft sand, cleaned every morning, spectacular breakfast, everything extremely clean, comfy rooms, and the most relaxing architecture

The pool bar made excellent cocktails and Manos's cocktails are far the best ! The Thalassa is in a good location with plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance

This was the second time we've stayed at the Thalassa and we were so pleased we did. Fantastic hotel , lovely staff , great room and a good size balcony with a pull out clothes drier

The sunbeds on the grassy area by the pool were very much in demand every day, but we preferred the beach anyway (coarse sand and rocky when you go into the sea so take beach shoes!) Everywhere was very clean and tidy, a well-looked after hotel

All the staff are very welcoming and attentive; a special mention goes to Klapsas the cat for keeping us entertained at breakfast! Bar area and Ouzaki beach restaurant are lovely to have lunch in, the bar has a nice vibe in the evening

We rented a lovely day bed and towels and enjoyed the sun, bar, and restaurant service. The staff was all polite and professional. Our lunch of pork gyros was delicious. This was a great way to spend a windy day

The room was good, a recommendation from me was to bye the air conditioner it was 10€ per day. We didn’t have pool towels with us so we needed to by that, 6€ PER TOWEL

Our stay was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The private swimming pool was amazing and the whole place felt peaceful. Both the room and shared spaces were very clean

The best part of the hotel was it's view. We took a sea view room and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was courteous. The breakfast at the restaurant waves had good variety even for vegetarians

The food was of excellent standard, very tasty, varied and hot. There were always salads, feta, olives, dressings, pickles, etc

there was also soup available, and kids food set aside separately, such pizza, nuggets & burgers, and a selection of desserts and fruit too

The staff worked tirelessly to ensure the area was always topped up with food and clean. The staff also kindly arranged for my husband and I to have decaf coffee with breakfast as the machine didn't have this

Clean, pleasant hotel. Good food. It feels mainly aimed at families and this is reflected in the clientele. Easy ten minute walk into the centre of Platanias or to the beach from the quiet location.

Mossa was everything we hoped for on our recent trip to Chania. We wanted a blend of relaxation, delicious food, hiking, easy parking, and beach days—and Mossa delivered on all fronts

The breakfast is good value for money with a range of options provided. The Greek night which is held every Monday was such a memorable part of our stay

My experience at this hotel was generally good. At first glance, it doesn’t seem like just a 3-star hotel, as both the decor and the facilities are very nice, and the rooms turned out to be comfortable

Regarding the service, I must highlight the exceptional attention from Aris, who made our stay much more enjoyable thanks to his charisma and excellent service

Superior room was really nice and had perfect beds. Even the extra bed in the room was really comfortable. Room was very clean and has a good air condition. And so were pool bar with snack and drinks

You can swim at your own risk after 8:00 (20:00), unlike the 5-stary hotel down the road (Porto Platanias). The pool is very nice, with water that's not too cold or warm, and actually larger than Porto Platanias

You can sit where you want for breakfast, unlike Porto Platanias. Great breakfast that you can take to the seaside. Two large rooms, including kitchenette, two air conditioners, balcony

6 Two TVs -- one large TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. The only con I list is that the parking is a small dirt road, which gets your car very dusty and dirty

This hotel was a 3-star hotel, but I'm unsure why because it was very nice -- perhaps because they didn't offer dinner(?) I rate it 4/5 because: Pros: 1

We've stayed in many hotels with varying standards, but this one had a very family atmosphere, a Greek feel and very casual. Everything was great! Thank you team Geranitis for wonderful holiday!

They show rooms with a nice seaview but in fact if it is written side seaview (which is the case at the moment for all rooms available by TUI ) you might not have any seaview from the room at all but only from your balcony

I booked this hotel myself, not through a travel agency

The hotel is well designed: two-storey, white, vaguely Arab-style buildings with lots of grassy areas, flowerbeds and trees. The rooms are functional and well-equipped with good beds and little balconies

I read reviews and viewed photos, and I must admit that the hotel looks much better than in the photos, and we had a wonderful stay! We stayed eight nights and everything was great! The service, the delicious breakfast, the small but adequate gym, and above all, the location right on the beach, close to many attractions, yet in a very quiet area

The hotel has a unique location/area with a part of the beach that feels private. I walk along the beach and looked at all the other hotels and Geraniotis stands out with their open green area

Excellent stay at the Althea village. Room was lovely and cleaned daily. Aways something delicious to eat no matter how fussy and lovely kids section Staff are so friendly and work hard to make sure everything is OK

The staff was really nice, everyday they were waiting for us with lunch prepared special for our daughter (at that moment she was eating only boiled vegetables), the room had a crib only for her, the "village" was quiet so we enjoyed our stay

We've had our holiday at Althea Village in mid-september. It was the first time coming to this hotel and we will definitely come back in the future. The complex is big and spacious, perfect for a family holiday

Lovely pools and no fighting for sun beds. Reception staff were very helpful and so was the Tui rep. The spa and gym are excellent as well

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer. It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us

Regarding the food, there were a lot of options, including also traditional Greek food. We recommend Althea Village if you want a nice, quiet and fun holiday!

We stayed here a week with four Kids. Poolbar had good and quite good prizes. You could eat in the bar or in your room/balcony. Good location, quiet road on the side. Super market just other side of the road

Well kept hotel and very clean. Beds were comfy, good pillows. 2 min walk to the main street with all the restaurant and shops. Then a further 4 min walk to the beach. The size of the apartment was a positive for us

Very nice hotel! It's like a thirty second walk to the beach. If you don't like the swimming in the sea, there is also a very nice pool at the hotel. Water is a bit cold but very nice on hot days

Like 50 meters from the hotel is a busstop wich will bring you to Chania Centre in like 20 minutes. The only downside I could find for the hotel was that the mattresses were a bit hard

Kill shop next to the hotel was stocked with everything you’d need and very very good prices. We would buy drinks here all day long and bring them back to the pool

Very close to 3 beaches and a bus stop that leads to Chania. Food was wonderful and staff is very kind and friendly. Rooms are small but they have everything you need. For the price you pay you get a great deal

Friendly and service minded staff. Wi-Fi was a bit slow but fine compared to other places on Crete. Ok Continental breakfast with little specialities. Dinner buffet was fine but not amazing

You will eat better at the local restaurant or in Chania. It’s possible to walk to Chania aprox. Agia apostoli is a fine base for exploring Chania and north/west Crete

The hotel as is ok. We had an apartment below grund which was ok big, but not very cosy. Cleaning was meh, but the people were very nice. Perfect pool for the whole family is one extra star.
