Our balconies overlooked the harbour, our favourite pool and the mountains behind

however we did receive a free upgrade to a room with a pool. Not sure if that was due to Platanias closing down for the season or if it's just how the hotel runs

The receptionist at the time, couldn't care less. Infact i had to bother him whilst he he was scrolling the internet on his phone. Most of the staff (by pool bar) were fabulous. Restaurant staff, hit and miss

Large resort hotel in Platanias village right next to the beach. The hotel is spread over a huge area, with many room types to choose from in several buildings

well, i walked into the room twice, and looked like my other half had made the bed, not the housekeeping team. I complained at reception about this. 5* hotel and the bed and bathroom looks scruffy

Had to be told numerous times to clear our table and reset at breakfast. Its not 5* and if we were allocated our original room type after paying an additonal €105 , i would not have been happy

Stayed 6 nights in a pool view room which we were upgraded to. Had a beautiful view from the 2nd floor. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent

I especially appreciated the multiple swimming pools with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

Fantastic Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Relaxing I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, helpful, and always attentive

The beachfront rooms were a little walk from the main hotel including a walkway over the main road so ask for a room in the main resort if you'd rather avoid, but wasn't an issue for us

Was fresh every morning and had a very large variety of hot and cold dishes and sweets. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay in a beautiful property

The bars were good 👍 all inclusive drinks however do seem a little watered down but hey ho saved a bad head the next day. The beach is literally next to the pool and was great for sunbathing and snorkeling

We still could enjoy the quiet evening there without freezing. Rooms are fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker fridge freezer and table for 4 ppl. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

The hotel has its own parking and has plenty of restaurants nearby, beachfront as well as in the main street. The host is very friendly, he offered a lot of valuable suggestions for spending time around the island

When we landed at the hotel there was an issue with our room so we got moved to the sister hotel over the road for one night which was fine, then they gave us a free massage and late check out also for the inconvenience which wasn't really an issue

We got a bus for 20mins about 2euro each to old town and the harbour was beautiful 😍 The rooms were deep cleaned daily which was great 👍 the staff were all pleasant. Overall I'd go back yes but want to try more places

Food was good , and a very good choice. Nice pool area , only a handful of people reserving sun beds by the pool , no issue getting a sun bed up to 11. The beach sun loungers are absolutely filthy, torn and tatty

Its clear why so many guest do not use them and use the ones by the pool area , as we did. we did hear other guests mention this to the reception but like us think it fell on deaf ears

Beach towels are only allowed to be changed every 3 days between 10 am- 4pm. With no exceptions , We had been out on an excursion all day came back at 5

You had to cross a big terrace to reach a small pool directly in front of 3 or 4 other rooms that were occupied so it would have been very strange for us to turn up and try to use it

The best place and the best people. Very nice! Eddy ans Michalis are the best barmans! We are very happy to be here. I recommed very much!

Nice clean hotel , although room towels and bed sheets had seen better days , some frayed , and holed , which we did mention to the hotel reception and it was rectified immediately

Everything is on site making it perfect for those who are willing just to chill: there's a shop, a pool, sauna and SPA

Hairdryer was inadequate, not enough power. The beds kept sliding away from the wall. Too crowded around pools areas. Not enough toilets for amount of visitors in the pool area

Amazing hotel for families. The new rooms look great. Stayed in a 3-room apt. Very spacious and huge balcony. We’re definitely coming back. Playground is pretty cool and was a favourite amongst our kids.

The food was delicious, our room was very clean, a very spacious bathroom, comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Would recommend Sirios Village to anyone!

Dishes at the restaurant are diverse, with cuisines from all over the world, and they are all delicious. The hotel is not too crowded, which I liked very much

Porto Platanias Luxury Selection exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff who made check-in super easy at the reception

Lovely hotel! Brilliant location right on seafront and close to town's restaurants and shops. Staff are so friendly - Pinelopi and Katerina on Reception were extremely kind

Welcome drink on arrival and a voucher for a free drink at the bar also. Pool area is relaxed and there are loungers on beach and round the pool so best of both options. Rooms are clean and comfortable

We also appreciated the smooth service of drinks and snacks direct to the sunbeds after ordering in an app

Nice room/suite and facilities, clean, peaceful environment and top tier service from the lovely staff! The room was very well equiped, good comfortable bed, great air condition, bathroom supplies including razors and other useful items

Great service from the crew in the reception too, they helped us with everything from luggage to booking of excursions. All in all, I’m happy to recommend this Hotel and I’m likely to return if I visit Crete again

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

Beautiful hotel but poorly designed bathroom in our apartment. Pool was ice-cold (we went last week of the season though). Other than that, beautiful stay!

Overall a nice hotel. Breakfast is not included, which would be nice. Rooms are a little worn, but with nice facilities. Nice location next to the beach and a couple of stores and restaurants.

The rooms were amazing, the plunge pool was lovely after a hot day in the sun. The pools were immaculate and a perfect place to relax

On arrival we were greeted very well, with a nice drink and tour, which was welcoming and informative

However, the room we stayed in didn’t get a great deal of sunlight all day due to the positioning, which was a slight downside, had you stayed in the same room on the opposite end of the pool, it would have had sunlight in the afternoon through until sunset

The sun loungers by the pools were also affected by the positioning of the hotel as the hotel structure blocked some of the sunlight, not too bad if you like the shade

All details of this place have been thoroughly made to match the natural setting. Perfect view from the rooms, good massage at the spa, and outdoors and indoors gym open 24 hours, just enough for basic exercise

The food at Domes Chania was excellent for all meals, but Dinner was outstanding

Back for a 2nd year and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed in one of the sea view rooms again (#500 row) which gives you a view of the pool, sea and bar, and even though the hotel is quite compact it isn’t noisy

The pool bar made excellent cocktails and Manos's cocktails are far the best ! The Thalassa is in a good location with plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance

This was the second time we've stayed at the Thalassa and we were so pleased we did. Fantastic hotel , lovely staff , great room and a good size balcony with a pull out clothes drier

The sunbeds on the grassy area by the pool were very much in demand every day, but we preferred the beach anyway (coarse sand and rocky when you go into the sea so take beach shoes!) Everywhere was very clean and tidy, a well-looked after hotel

All the staff are very welcoming and attentive; a special mention goes to Klapsas the cat for keeping us entertained at breakfast! Bar area and Ouzaki beach restaurant are lovely to have lunch in, the bar has a nice vibe in the evening

This hotel mostly is for vacation at the pool. This hotel have 2 pools and close by acces to the beach. If you book this hotel be ready to pay extra for AC 12 € per night. Pay extra for beach sunbed 8€ per bed

Our stay was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The private swimming pool was amazing and the whole place felt peaceful. Both the room and shared spaces were very clean

The best part of the hotel was it's view. We took a sea view room and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was courteous. The breakfast at the restaurant waves had good variety even for vegetarians

The sea view with breakfast made it even more memorable. The Italian restaurant at the hotel is amazing too. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good stay for a reasonable price

Excellent food in the restaurant, a lot of dietary dishes for children, a variety of the diet were changed every day. Two nice pools with sea views. All the amenities in a walking distance. Will definitely go here again!

Hotel apt was clean and comfortable and staff is alwas nice and ready to help. Be aware the beach is not for children , it is really deep right after you step in the water

The beach is the gravel type!!! We had to travel 8 km towards Chania everyday where is sandy beach and calm water!!!

It is difficult to navigate alone as you can’t see and have to use your phone for a light as the key is attached to the door key! - some sort of parasol or shaded area

Sunrise review I stayed at Sunrise Village for a week at the beginning of July with my family, including a 15 year old and 18 year old

What a wonderful hotel! We had a lovely welcome from the reception desk, Konstantina was there to answer any of our questions and she was most helpful and friendly

The staff worked tirelessly to ensure the area was always topped up with food and clean. The staff also kindly arranged for my husband and I to have decaf coffee with breakfast as the machine didn't have this

Good selection of drinks, local beer, wine & spirits, plus some very nice cocktails, and bottles of Raki on the bar for guests to help themselves to

I can see why they don’t have parasols as there would not be the room round the pool, but maybe look at other hotels to see what they have done. - melon and other fresh cut fruit at breakfast

Several beaches were within easy reach, along with a lovely open space perfect for early morning or afternoon walks. I would highly recommend Mossa to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable stay

I recently stayed here for 10 days. We had the most fantastic stay and are already looking forward to our next visit! The rooms were spacious, well appointed and very clean

The breakfast is good value for money with a range of options provided. The Greek night which is held every Monday was such a memorable part of our stay

The included breakfast was just what we were looking for: healthy, fresh, and filling enough to sustain us most of the day

Another very positive point is Monday night, when they host a live Greek music event with dancers. It’s a fun experience where guests can participate, and it was definitely one of the most memorable moments of my stay

We stayed in the newly refurbished rooms which were lovely and clean and very nicely refurbished. The pool area and beach were lovely but we didn't have time to use these facilities

Friendly staff, good beachbar/poolarea and nice location. But bad aircondition, very hot at night in the room. And in the reception/common areas. Breakfast was mediocre with narrow selection

You can swim at your own risk after 8:00 (20:00), unlike the 5-stary hotel down the road (Porto Platanias). The pool is very nice, with water that's not too cold or warm, and actually larger than Porto Platanias

Superior room was really nice and had perfect beds. Even the extra bed in the room was really comfortable. Room was very clean and has a good air condition. And so were pool bar with snack and drinks

we arrived 5pm ish and headed for the pool bar where we had a large beer which arrived with snacks and nibbles free of charge

Lovely pools and no fighting for sun beds. Reception staff were very helpful and so was the Tui rep. The spa and gym are excellent as well

The staff was really nice, everyday they were waiting for us with lunch prepared special for our daughter (at that moment she was eating only boiled vegetables), the room had a crib only for her, the "village" was quiet so we enjoyed our stay

We've had our holiday at Althea Village in mid-september. It was the first time coming to this hotel and we will definitely come back in the future. The complex is big and spacious, perfect for a family holiday

The entertainment and pools were also exactly what you would expect something for everyone there are 3 pools one quiet one, one where the entertainment is performed water polo, aerobics, etc and one where you can play with games with your family or just relax

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer. It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us

We really appreciated all the activities during the day and during the evening, the flowers and the trees were really beautiful and well maintained, all the resort was very clean

Clean, comfortable and affordable room for a 3 star hotel, excellent menu, and pool bar,. it has 2 pools for children and adults

The apartments are spacious, modern, clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning good. The pool area has enough sunbeds for all the guests and the two pools are good for swimmers of all ages

There are also a couple of indoor areas for everyone to spend time in with a small library, some board games and a pool table. The slightly dated gym was also a great bonus

If we can get bigger freddo cappuccino when ordering it by the pool bar - would make me very happy, but you know - small things!

Pool were nice, kids could play with balls and other toys. If we go again to Platanias, we will get here again

The outdoor of the hotel is well kept, clean and very cozy with good sun beds. Good size pools for this kind of hotel

Very nice hotel! It's like a thirty second walk to the beach. If you don't like the swimming in the sea, there is also a very nice pool at the hotel. Water is a bit cold but very nice on hot days

Like 50 meters from the hotel is a busstop wich will bring you to Chania Centre in like 20 minutes. The only downside I could find for the hotel was that the mattresses were a bit hard

Pool is super, the sea is in a 5 min walk distance, bus stop, supermarkets, tavernas are near

The guy did come most days to measure the chemical levels but not much was done to clean the pool. But when you’re in the pool you can see and feel a lot of black between the tiles

Close to the hotel is realy good sand beach with nice beach bar

The breakfast area is lovely next to the pool or the roof terrace which over looks the beach, it’s a nice way to start off the day. It’s just off the Main Street but is so quiet. The staff can’t do enough for you

Nice pool-area with a good variety of drinks and food in the bar&restaurant. Drinks come very quick after order in restaurant. Food also come quite fast, despite many people in the restaurant

The rooms are cleaned every day - which you can also opt out of. There’s two different pools on each side of the complex

First of all our room was upgraded. It’s connected to the beach so you can choose the pool or the sea

We just spend 2 weeks at the hotel the staff was absolutely amazing and so friendly Stella, Katarina at the bar and at the restaurant was so kind all the other waiter was amazing the cleaning staff EVERYBODY WAS so kind, the hotel is close to the beach and there is so many shops I will definitely recommend this place and see u all soon again

Very close to 3 beaches and a bus stop that leads to Chania. Food was wonderful and staff is very kind and friendly. Rooms are small but they have everything you need. For the price you pay you get a great deal

Friendly and service minded staff. Wi-Fi was a bit slow but fine compared to other places on Crete. Ok Continental breakfast with little specialities. Dinner buffet was fine but not amazing

You will eat better at the local restaurant or in Chania. It’s possible to walk to Chania aprox. Agia apostoli is a fine base for exploring Chania and north/west Crete
