I don’t often leave reviews, but felt I really must share how wonderful this accommodation is. The owner is beyond lovely, friendly and helpful! He gives lots of good tips on restaurants and places of interest and adds all sort of nice touches like fruit and bottled water. The location was perfect for me. It is in the center of town and everything was very walkable and accessible. As a solo female traveler I felt completely safe and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Rethymno. I hope to be back! Many thanks!

If I could give 10 stars to this lovely hotel I would!!! Hands down the best experience we had in all Crete. The apartment was super clean, situated in city center yet we found it silent, provided with everything one can need for a perfect stay. The owner, Yannis, is the perfect host, always available to help, even preparing surprises for kids and giving small souvenirs upon departure, what can I say it is home away from home ❤️. If we will every come back to Rethymno we will definitely book this hotel!

Clean and really nice rooms, A extremely helpful and friendly chef, Yannis who offers complete support and even his mobile number. Wine, water and Champagne as a welcome gift as well as a map of the town with his personal recommendations for good food and sights worth visiting.
An effective air conditioner in the rooms and perhaps most importantly a parking slot directly at the harbour and about five minutes walk to the hotel through the pedestrian zone.
A perfect stay, perfect service and a competent and very supportive Yannis.

This hotel has everything that an independent traveler needs! The room was perfectly suitable for our needs: it had a large comfortable bed and a sleeping loft for our teenager. Also, the location is the best; all that the Old Town has to offer is right outside, and the beach is within walking distance. The service is 6/5; Yannis is the loveliest and most hospitable host there is! Totally recommended!

My wife and I stayed at the Afroditi for four days in late June 2024. The rooms were exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. The room we stayed in had a king size bed and even had a loft with a full size bed. Afroditi is located within Old Town. Great location, close to everything including the waterfront. The owner, Yannis, was simply amazing. He met us at our car and personally helped us with our luggage and then went with me to show me where to park my rental car - he even paid parking costs. He provided us with two bottles of wine, a bottle of champaign, and a huge bowl of fruit. I hurt my leg on a day trip and Yannis insisted on taking me to the local hospital to make sure the injury was not serious. Yannis is a truly outstanding host. Highly recommended.

Somehow it got 4.9 out of 5 stars where it should be 10 out of 5! Best stay ever in my life. Owner and cleaning lady's are more than great and lovely. You get spoilt every day with drinks and fruit in your fridge like wine, grapes, apples, pineapple you name it.
Also the location is extraordinary! Owner knows everything you need to know about the city and the places you can eat the best food.

Afroditi is home to home experience. The owner of the apartments Mr Yannis is the most welcoming host I have ever met . The care and support to the last detail is second to none. The apartment we stayed was fit for Royalty. To welcome us the hotel has filled the fridge with lots of fruits and fresh water bottles . Must say the water in Crete was delicious . To make our stay in Rethymno interesting Mr Yannis provided us with a map of the town and places to visit and enjoying Cretan cuisine . . The view from our balcony overlooking the old Street below and the port not far in distance . Will be an obligation to return there again. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU MR YANNIS.

100 out of 10 prefect place in the old town of Rethymno five minutes of walking from the main attractions, comfy beds, and warm and thoughtful welcoming, will surely come back

Yannis was very welcoming (he came looking for us, paid for the parking, carrying our bags, prepared fresh fruits for us, as well as a bottle of wine, and then showed us his best places to go to eat) and available for everything!
The studio is very cosy with a lot of details and kind gestures towards the guests. Perfectly located in the center of Rethymnon in a very pretty street and still very calm. Highly recommended for every aspect of it!

Super nice experience, Giannis, the owner, i suppose, Is very welcomeing, the room was Amazing beautifull , full of services and with a super welcomeing Surprise in the fridge, water, fruits, Orange juice and wine. Everything was above our expectation, a lot of details that makes the difference.
Position Is perfect ti visita the city, not far from the main Road, where you can park, and an in the middle of the pedestrian Road.

Owner yannis is a very kind person. Unbeatable price to have a whole apartment! U must love it! At least we do :)
