Hotel Stella d'Italia
Florence, 7 Via dè Tornabuoni 🧭 Map
Hotel Scoti was a simply wonderful place to stay, giving you the feeling of Florence the moment you walk into the common area and see the large fresco adorning the ceiling.
Doreen the host was incredible in explaining the quirks of the 500 year old building from operating the locks that stick a little bit, to the ~100 year old elevator. It was all a really great experience stacked with charm.
In terms...
Great atmosphere, a lot of history & location for your money. Very basic, but very interesting, friendly, central and atmospheric. An absolute find, at the heart of Florence, right next to all the big designer stores. A very " Room with a view" pensione !
I was impressed with the building. The hotel is at good location.
Great place. I lived there when I first moved to Florence many years ago for a couple of months. Wonderful friendly owners and beautiful florentine building.
Doreen, the host, was very friendly and helpful for planning our days and scheduling dinner reservations for us. Was always around if we needed help with anything. Highly recommend
A hotel with a lot of heart. It is a simple place, with nice rooms, spacious beautiful communal areas. Original wall paintings, large windows and cozy rooms. 24 hour access with your own keys, and an elevator. The owners are really nice and helpful. We had some health issues and the owners helped us with a lot of stuff, and we are eternally grateful. Is this the nicest looking, most exquisite hotel...

The rooms were quiet and clean. Our room had a sewage smell that was concentrated at night and in the mornings! The bathroom floor drain would back up and let water in.
The king bed was 2 twin beds with a large mattress on top. They spread apart at night. The water tasted funny. Breakfast was OK except for the weiners tasted funny. The location was somewhat remote.
Residential area 10 minutes away from center. Not 4 star hotel. It is 3 star only. Next to the USA consulate. Bathroom was old and must be renovated. Room was also old and must be renovated. Florence is nice. Nightlife is quiet, I heard some voices during nighttime might be incidentally. Breakfast is a imitation of real breakfast. Just go to the nearest supermarket and buy what you need. Air conditioner...
My single room in de rose hotel was really nice for me as a traveller. This hotel was one of the best things I chose in Florence. As far as you see the photos I took, the breakfast is just awesome. They prepared different options every single day. Plus, there was a real natural honeycomb! And the bathroom has a heat machine inside, so not cold after a shower. And you can use a coffee machine in your...
Very good hotel, great hosts knowing everything about Florence. Doing everything to make your stay a pleasant one
Good option for a few days, but maybe not much comfortable for a long stay. Breakfast is fair. Location is a bit far, but you can get to the best places by foot if you like to walk.
Warm welcome, very good service.
Good quality / price ratio.
Nothing to say and the French are welcome.

A very interesting family hotel. The rooms face the river view. The service is super good above and beyond. Although the facilities are a bit old, it is very comfortable to stay!
The location is quite good. Free upgrade to the top floor river view room. Traditional Italian retro decoration style. The room is not big but very clean. The breakfast is simple and delicious. The location is very good. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
Nice breakfast, nice garden and great parking.
Stayed for two nights and we had a great experience with the hotel, the staff, and the overall atmosphere.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms and garden - recommend visiting the rooftop which has an amazing view and is a bit of a hidden gem.
Close to everything.
Breakfast was great and the staff really cared about everyone’s experience.
Beautiful hotel, perfect location with both a gorgeous rooftop terrace view and a quiet garden patio. The staff is attentive and the place is sparkling clean with an absolutely breathtaking decor!
We stayed at hotel Principe for one night during our short visit to Firenze. We had a wonderful time!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortabel and clean. The breakfast was great in their garden. There is free parking in their garden.

Florence, Via Roti Michelozzi 2 🧭 Map
Whenever I return to Bellosguardo I am always startled at the sheer majestic beauty of this place.. It has a grandeur and a romance which is so difficult to find , I sketched everyday for hours and only wished I had my easel and oils with me. The staff are wonderful, the gardens glorious, the swimming pool a dream and the donkeys, cats and crazy looking chickens all add to the fun. I had my very...
Simply divine and possibly our best holiday stay ever. A majestic and historic villa overlooking Florence has with tender love and care by the owners/operators been turned into the optimal retreat for exploring the city or just lounging in the lush gardens by the pool. They make you feel like house guests in a Fitzgerald novel. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a cookery class one evening with Ana...
Beautiful hotel with spectacular views. You’re stepping into history, it’s more than a hotel it’s part of Florence’s fabulous architecture, with frescos and statues dating back generations. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable, and its packed full of quirky features including a bathroom that resembled a confession booth from the outside. This isn’t your typical hotel and so expect a few imperfections...
I stayed at Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo in April, and my experience was absolutely incredible. The staff was exceptionally kind, and they made a constant effort to ensure that we had an amazing stay. Good, highly recommended! Very historical
Amazing hotel / castle experience :)

Perfect location! Very traditional and charming hotel! Checking in took a bit time but didn’t bother us.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive and outstanding staff. The hotel’s location is unbeatable - just steps from Florence’s most iconic landmarks. Our room and bathroom were spacious and spotless, offering both comfort and elegance. The service through our stay was exceptional. Truly a flawless experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
We chose to stay at the Strozzi Palace Hotel to mark the upcoming first anniversary of my business, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Great hotel to visit Florence during the weekend!

Myself and my teenage nephew enjoyed a few days in beautiful Florence and we stayed at this lovely hotel for our stay. It is in a great location, on a quiet street but within two minutes walking we were in a busy place, we were able to enjoy our sightseeing without ever being too far from the hotel. The staff were friendly and answered many questions without us feeling we were an annoyance, the breakfast...
A beautiful comfortable hotel with excellent service. Staff friendly and polite. Safe parking for our classic car. Easy walking to the favourite sites in Florence. We were only there one night 1st May 2019 but memorable. Great place to stay.
We stayed three nights and the hotel has good and not so good points. The negative points are as follows. First, it is very noisy as you can hear every movement of other guest and other guest shared the same comment with us. Second, they do not change your towels everyday unless you ask. Third, our hair dryer would only run for two minutes and then would stop for 5 minutes. The positive points...
Centrally located which makes visiting the city easy. The staff was fantastic! They suggested places to eat that were more local than tourist which was nice. They always greeted you with a smile and spoke English really well. The room I stayed in was huge, so was the bathroom. Biggest draw back was that everyone had to walk past my room so you heard lots of noise at night.
Fantastic looking hotel, staff were all very helpful
Real Florence atmosphere. Historical buildings and rooms. Breakfast could be more rich

Wonderful, cosy and modern hotel. Delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, therapeutic shower and perfect sleep was aided by blackout shutters. The staff was also top notch. Would stay again.
Staff was very nice. The hotel is staffed from 8am to 1pm. The breakfast is delightful and they provide fresh squeezed orange juice. Very simple space. Reasonable minibar prices (if that’s your thing).
3 stars due to the accommodations plagued with issues. Our shower leaked, we couldn’t get the night shade to work and there was no staff at night to assist, tv didn’t work. Overall a good experience...
Very nice stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A/C doesn't seem to work the best but consistent for Italy. Staff were vet accommodating.
The hotel is not far from Florence dome. The room is quite small but nice. The only drawback are the slim walls so you can hear people talking in the other rooms
Very nice stay. It's located just outside the center of Florence (walking distance). You can tell this place is run by passionate people. Each morning start off with fresh juice and the staff is very friendly. I can warmly recommend staying at relais modern ?
This is a great hotel with everything you need for a great price. It's located just a couple blocks north of everything and closer than it looks on a map. Clean and a great breakfast to boot.

A nice little hotel near the Uffizi. I'd like to point out that the breakfasts are excellent for Italy, as they even have boiled eggs. The donuts and coffee are delicious, and you can make your own cornetto in any flavor. There's also a small selection of fresh vegetables, cheese, and cold meats for a sandwich.
The bed is comfortable, there's a refrigerator, and the air conditioning works (both cooling...
Strategic location of the accommodation, very kind and helpful staff.
The location and facilities were very good and the front desk staff were polite. The shower room didn't have a door, so the floor got wet, which was inconvenient, and it would have been nice if there was a kettle in the room. Everything else was perfect.
Recently renovated with overall nice rooms.... But apart from the location which is truly fantastic, the rest leaves something to be desired
The location is excellent, and it takes only a few minutes to reach major attractions. However, the hotel environment is average. Although the room is large, the bathroom is very small and smells. My friend's room has scalding hot water whether he takes a shower to the left or the right. The breakfast is average and not very tasty.
Very good stay experience! The room was clean and very close to the art museum.

Three for its location and the nice, cosy little place that it is. Worth it for its location. Although we didn’t face any hassles checking in , the host was gracious enough to leave a note outside the door for us. Soundproofing the walls would be helpful here.
But location is amazing.
Nice, and good value for the money. It is very central, not so far (walking distance) from the train. We had a simple room with private bathroom (not all rooms had), and the manager was friendly. We just stayed for two nights, and it served it's purpose well.
Perfect central location. Really near all the main sites. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags before our official check in time. Room good size and clean.

Great hotel.. the rooms are nice and clean. the hotel have an old fashion look wich i think is pretty cool. The pool area is big but could be better since most og the sunbeds lies on a small hilside with dirt as ground.. but if you look past that, the pool area is great, it may have the best view over Florence, of all the hotels in Florence (see the pictures). The location of the hotel is perfect,...

My family and I loved our stay here. The location is amazing and the suite itself looked like the inside of a monastery which was stunning. Our hostess was so accommodating, will definitely come again.
Very cute little place to stay, but the presentation on the web makes this place look much nicer than it is.
The pros
The bed is very comfortable the rooms are cute.
We loved the tile on the floors and bathroom.
The Cons
The water pressure and temperature was sub par.
We had a front room and the door slams every time people enter.
Terrible air conditioning. We had 38c days and the room never cooled...
Blerina was amazing and accommodated our every need. She was very responsive and friendly, and was always quick to respond on WhatsApp. The hotel was centrally located and a short walk from all the major sights. The parking situation was a huge bonus in a country with many traffic limited zones. The room was clean and spacious. We really felt like we got a local and high-quality boutique experience...
This place is very nice. Rooms are super clean and spacious. Great lighting. Awesome water pressure for a nice long hot shower. Great location. Young girl at the desk was very sweet. The only thing that could be improved on would have been to at least have a few tv channels in English, since we had none on the tv. Other than that, great spot. Would stay again for sure!!!! We loved the location! It's only short walk to the T2 train that takes directly to the city center (20 minutes). You buy the train tickets for €1.5 at the train track and you stamp it on the train. There is AC in the room, but the windows have to be remained seal shut to activate the AC. Very clean room, sound proof is good! Friendly and attentive staff… I wish we can stayed more days in this hotel though

This sadly was not what we were expecting. This hotel does not feel 4 stars. Our bathroom looked very outdated and smelled like pee our entire stay, the tub is stained and chipped when I brought this to the front desk lady, she said she’ll tell the cleaning crew, they never checked in on it again. Bring your own supplies because there is no hand soap or conditioner (you get this even at an airbnb)...
Wonderful short break at the hotel in a junior suite.

The location is good and the room is relatively large. It's a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria del Fiore. The SPA is a bit of a rip-off, the hygiene is not very good, and it's a bit noisy. No new water was added the next day. You can park in front of the hotel to unload your luggage, but you need to inform in advance and the waiter will park in the cooperative parking lot.
The heart of Firenze!

Great location in terms of proximity to train station and historical centre. Breakfast was good and the staff who served coffee and drinks was very warm and friendly.
